Come in from the Rain (Quest/open to 1)

[ABSO Unit - "Neo"]

Standing outside the great gates of Cabal, Neo Abso shouldered his backpack. His entirely mechanical body hummed warmth, sending off some slight heat waves from his shoulder blades. When he was created, he was always taught to stay away from this place. To keep himself free of Cabal, that the people there might try to take and study him. Now that he was free and pledged to serve his father, he was given the kind of upgrades that protected him from that stuff.

It made this mission possible.

Stepping across the threshold, he let out a little chuckle of laughter and began his steps onto the ground. The procession behind him of warriors were protecting the man who walked in their center. David Blaze. The procession veered off toward the general grounds, to meet with some dignitaries and such...but Neo would keep on toward the door, opening it and stepping inside to look around. His glowing gold eyes took in the building, analyzing, zeroing in on the areas of structural weakness.

And he waited.

Soni sat on a bench just inside the building about 15 ft, reading a book about Greek mythology. She was "studying", though the book had nothing to do with a class, it was merely for her own entertainment. But, it looked academic, so no one paid her mind.

Then her ears picked up the strangest noise. Her eyes lazily drifted off her book to see where it originated before being filled with energy and wonder by what they laid themselves on. IS...IS THAT??? Her mind began to ask itself as her eyes remained wide with fascination.

"YO!" she shouted from her bench without moving, "ARE YOU A ROBOT?!?!"

[ABSO Unit - "Neo"]

Neo turned around at the shout and the use of that slur.

"A robot is a construction meant to fulfill a single purpose without any higher form of function."

His golden eyes spun.

"I am an Artificial Bio Synthetic Organism. An...A.I, so to speak."

He would start walking towards her.

"Are you a student here?"

[Soni Vox]

Soni's eyes didn't shrink back down to normal size, but they stayed wide out of fear and regret. She had held her tongue just the other day, making sure not to call Oni the D word, but her she went and shouted the R word. Both her hands shot up to her face and covered her... well, mask, as her book fell in her lap. She then began to speak, her voice unmuffled by the hands, due to the fact it originated outside of them.

"OH- OH NO! I'M- I'M SO SORRY" Her hands waved out in front of her as she continued, "I DIDN'T MEAN- PLEASE DON'T LIKE REPORT ME....CUS...YEaa," she answered as her voice died down and her hands clasped together. Soni covered her mouth again as her quiet voice talked from outside her clasped hands. "i'm a student..."

[ABSO Unit - "Neo"]

He tilted his head.

"In that case, please fight me."

He was wearing a general T-shirt and sweats, and seemed entirely non-threatening.

[Soni Vox]

Soni's face immediately contorted with confusion. "What?" she asked, closing up her book and making sure the pages were flat and not creased. "Like? Right here? Right now?" One of her eyebrows raised as she put her book in her small bag.

[ABSO Unit - "Neo"]

He nodded.

"Consider it a training session. I am curious about what the students here are capable of."

He took off his own backpack, tossing it into the grass. The handle of his sword stuck up over his right shoulder, but he didn't grab it. He then did an odd thing for a robot- he cracked his neck, and lazily waved her forward.

"Please, attack."

[Soni Vox]

Soni looked around at all the students passing by. "Uh... you wanna go outside? So that way we don't like yknow hurt someone."

[ABSO Unit - "Neo"]

"I do not think we will. But, if you'd prefer.....lead the way."

He'd let her take him somewhere safe. Her school, her rules, right?

[Soni Vox]

Soni, still somewhat thrown off, grabbed her bag and walked past the artificial bio synthetic organism and outside. "Come come," Soni spoke as she walked past.

She jaunted over to a small courtyard area outside the school, a bounce in each of her steps. It was out of the main walkway area, and primarily used for lunch time, if students didn't want to hang around the cafeteria (who could blame them?). In the center was a fountain, and a line of three cement tables were on its right and left. Surrounding the entire area, except for the open areas to allow for traffic, were tall stone troughs filled with soil that a line of trees took root in.

Soni enthusiastically hopped up on one of the stone tables in the corner and looked down at the guy. "How's this for a battling arena, eh?" With her words she waved her hands around to gesture to the area.

[ABSO Unit - "Neo"]

He blinked. It looked much the same to him, but if it put her at ease-

"It is adequate. Please, let us start."

He set down his pack again (which he had grabbed as they left), and lurched himself forward to try and front kick her in the chest. If it hit, it would likely send her flying back into the fountain, the big metal man tilting his head.

Soni's arms shot up in defensive instinct as she took the hit. Simultaneously she activated her sound aura, taking the blow of the kick and flying back to the fountain. Her aura spun around her wildly, and diverted her body around the top of the fountain. She landed on her feet with a skid and a slight stumble.

Now that she had held her own (somewhat) in a fight against Rai and Trinity, she was a little more apt at taking such heavy hits. But this robot was certainly no joke. She looked at her feet and saw a piece of concrete, one that had fallen off the corner of the stone troughs due to weathering. She picked it up and smirked as she yelled to the artificial bio synthetic organism, the fountain standing between them.

"Man, you fight pretty good. Can you do it without an EYE!" with the last word she'd jump to the side so that the fountain was no longer between them (after all, she didn't wanna damage it) and send out a sonic blast, shooting the rock toward ABSO's eye!!

Sound Aura: Summons a tornado of pure sound that spins around Soni. (DEF + 1/2 ENG) Anyone inside also takes 1/2 ENG in DMG

Sonic blast: Capable of bursting eardrums, throwing opponents, and doing significant damage to internal organs by matching their frequency. Could put your average joe in the hospital for a couple days. Also has the ability to shatter glass, dent vehicles, crack concrete walls, and burst fire hydrants.]

His hand snapped up and caught the stone, the AI looking at it curiously before the sonic blast hit him. His body slid backward several feet, the concrete cracking under him. Obviously....he weighed a lot.

"Your abilities are good. They serve you well!"

He threw the rock back at her- this time, without nearly as much strength!

Ability 0: "Intelligent Design" - Neo's body grows during combat and combat training. During training, once all opponents have been touched by him, his body adjusts itself to more closely match their power level. If they are above him, his stats can each be increased up to 1/2 his energy in order to meet the fight, making him the perfect training partner. In true combat, he can release inhibitor 1, allowing him to fight at full power without training restrictions

Soni renewed her aura as the rock came flying, and in response it flew off, burying itself into one of the trees. Hmph. This guy was fast, super strong, and he could take some serious hits. But, he didn't have eyes in the back of his head.

"Thanks, now catch this!" Soni yelled, launching a frequency bullet toward his eye. Quickly afterwards, she cast a sonic blast behind him. The blast would make it to where if he tried to dodge the bullet, he would be pushed into the it. It might not be in his eye if that happened, but it'd still hit him.

Sound Aura: A tornado of pure sound spinning around Soni. (DEF + 1/2 ENG) Anyone inside also takes 1/2 ENG in DMG.

Frequency Bullets: A focused point of extremely loud but compressed sound shot toward her opponent at a speed 1/2 her ENG. It matches the frequency of the target, quite literally shaking a hole into the target.

Distant Call: Throw voice from Skyrim, essentially. Soni can create sound up to 20 ft. in any direction

Rather than try to dodge anything, he threw an arm out at her, his hand folding into his forearm as a barrel pointed at her and flames erupted from his arm like a flamethrower! It would aim to torch her attack but even if she was able to dodge, it would light the fountain aflame, Neo watching with a metallic cocked brow.

Her sonic attack would knock his head forward, a metallic PANG ringing as she dented it! Neo would nod sagely.

"Good damage!"

While he continued torching shit!

Ability 11: ABSO Torch - Neo can create a flamethrower with his right arm, flames erupting from his arm with damage equal to his energy. If he infuses it with the nitroglycerine stored in small packets in his arm, explosive damage equal to 150% his energy will be stacked on top of it.
