She was grabbed and dropped she let out a pained breath as he put her in that hold. When he leaned in close she let him speak. His words were kind and hopeful she grinned happily.
It was right then she threw her head forward to slam it back. Raming the back of her head into his lip or nose. She got one food under her and dislocated her shoulder to bend herself well enough to escape and kick his shin when she got up right. It might not have caused him to let her go but she would focus on skipping out.
"I understand what you mean, four instance a Shoulder injury from when I got caught in a bar brawl... Its become more handy than hindrance." she winked. It hardly ached when she moved it out of place or knocked it back in. Not like it used to.

The headbutt got him and she successfully slipped from his grasp by dislocating her shoulder, surprising him. Rai couldn't help but laugh as he stood back his busted lip bleeding a little. He'd spit the black blood from his mouth, it would harden in the air and land on the ground as a solid hunk of black blood. But after a moment it would appear to liquefy and seep into the ground disappearing.
"Indeed. Caught me off guard with that one."
Shaking his head he would smile.
"Ya know, you're not as bad as you think. You're definitely much more than a meat shield for one."
Rai would then walk over to her and place a hand on her head.
"For two, don't think of yourself as a meat shield, I don't consider you to be one, so neither should you. Never enter a fight expecting to die, if you do then you surely will. Instead always enter a fight saying, 'Today isn't my day to die.' that way you know, win or lose you will still find a way to survive to fight more battles, and the more battles you fight, the stronger you will be, for me, and for our people."
Rai would take his hand off her head and stretch again, popping his neck and back. Then he would go to retrieve his clothes.
"You did a good job today, keep it up, maybe you and I can do more practice from time to time to hone your skills. Who knows, maybe someday people will fear you more than they fear me, because they'll have to get through you to get to me!"
He let out a laugh.
"For now though go ahead and return to the office and get you some rest. I've still got more paper work to go through anyways."
He would say with a resigned sigh.

She laughed at his optimism. Not sure she understood much from the bit of black blood that he spat but she would leave it be.
"For a cause I believe in I have been ready at a moments notice to lay down my life. But to do what you say... I'll admit it sounds harder to live fighting for your cause than die for them. Still I know many parts of myself that certainly prefer living and so I will."
She traced her arms where scars riddled them. The rituals and traditions that were made giving blood in the blood dragons name became many through the years.

He nodded.
"It easy to die, its hard to live, and the only things in life worth fighting for are hard to achieve. If everything was easy, there would be no satisfaction of achievement."

She eexamined some scrapes on her arms .
"Inspirational words to live by indeed." she looked at him again. "I'll do well to learn more anf be stronger. At the very least I will sleep very nicely tonight no matter what those little rebels try."

Rai chuckled.
"Then my job here is done!"
He laughed as he walked back to his office, back to paperwork. The thought of which killed his laughter...
