With his business with the Fates concluded his next stop was atop Mount Olympus where he would consult with the other God's that watched from on high. Or rather, inform them. His mind was made up, he would announce his intentions and depending on their reaction either hear their concerns and talk them to his way of thinking or leave with their blessing. The worst case would be leaving without. But this was rather personal for him if that is what it took then so be it. And so he would confront his brethren upon the summit, clad in the gear of Ares he was here as an aspect of humanity. The brutality and passion for war and violence. The base aggression within all of their hearts. The part inside him that demanded blood for what was taken from him.

Ares would find a half full councel already seated in the thrones of the Greek Pantheon. Zues, Hades, Poseidon, Hermes, and Athena.

He'd say before turning to look over the God's gathered.
"I intend to go to the Deadlands and raise an army. I ask for your blessing."
He intended to do it either way, however.

That caused a small hush for a few moments. Poseidon was the first to speak after regaining himself.
"And what blessing do you seek? I have not seen you ask simply for permission."

A murmur would grow among them as they discussed it before Zues would give a large nod.
"Of course. We will be well in hand. I look forward to this army you intend to build."
The murmur would fall silent at this, but slowly a contagious smile would grow, before many more approving nods joined the first in unanimous agreement.

He'd say with a nod. Pleased and surprised by how easy that was.
"I also have a request for you Hades." He'd begin, using his title rather than real name while on the summit. "While fighting against the Guardian that contained my daughter I felt it's dark energy reach inside of me. Since then there has been something off. I would be grateful if you would examine my soul again to see if it left some type of taint."
Anubis hadn't found anything, but he still felt it when he used his Qi. It was concerning only because he did not know what it was, or what it might do.

Hades head would turn to Mathew now scrutinizing his form looking for discrepancies that may be around his soul, it would take a moment but he would raise a brow.
"Not a... Taint more like a change. Did you fight this being using your earth powers, or your god powers?"
The other gods continued their own preparations or whatever they were there for, this wasn't a formal gathering after all.
