With wide, terrified eyes.

"Do you know what the strongest thing you can do is?"

He waited a moment to see if Lann would answer before speaking again.

"It's learning to not follow our first impulses, it's easy to give in, and to inflict pain." He lifted a hand slowly, clenching his massive fist tightly. "Restraint is hard, and learning to stay in control of yourself is the most powerful thing you can learn. Not to fear yourself, but to master yourself."

Faye nods sagely.

[Cain Rhamos]

"I d-d-on't know..."

Lann looks at the ground.

"I k-keep... learning things.... about m-myself. Th-things I didn't know about me.... and i-it's scary... I'm s-so scared... all the t-time..."

[Caelan Xander]

"All of us have a dark side. And you are the only one that can deal with yours. It's not a battle me or Faye can fight for you. But you also have a light side." He'd poke Lann in the chest where his heart would be. "And I know that the light is strong in you Lann. Whatever you may think, it's in there and it's powerful."

[Kaia Galanos]

"You're a kind person." Faye adds.

"A nervous one, but kind. Vices don't suit you."

[Cain Rhamos]

"I th-thought so t-too... but... then I almost...h-hurt you, Cael."

Lann frowns so hard.

"I d-don't want to h-hurt anyone, but it k-keeps feeling like I w-will..."

[Caelan Xander]

"You might hurt someone. But if that happens you need to take it as a learning experience and a chance to be better. Everyone fails to be their best self sometimes. What separates the good people and the bad people is the fact that good people keep trying to be better than they were. Bad people embrace it."

[Kaia Galanos]

"I do wonder."

Not to change the subject because Cael was a very good big brother type and Lann probably really appreciated his kind words.

"If Lann is perhaps holding back all his dark feelings. Maybe he simply needs to let it all out. It may solve his fear of himself if he knows what he's capable of."

[Cain Rhamos]

"I d-d-don't want to embrace it...."

He shakes his head. Faye's advice makes his eyes widen even more, and he rapidly shakes his head again.

"N-no... wh-when I d-d-do that, s-someone w-will d-definitely get hurt!"

[Caelan Xander]

"If you are afraid I am willing to be the one that stands opposite of you when you unleash. Then if you do hurt someone, it won't be someone innocent."

[Kaia Galanos]

"Or he could unleash on something non-living."

Which is where she was going with that but Cael was a tough man. She's just pretty sure Lann would feel guilty one way or another.

[Cain Rhamos]

"I know y-you're t-tough... b-but..."

Lann sighs.

[Caelan Xander]

"Then Faye's idea. A training dummy."

[Kaia Galanos]

"A tree. A rock. Anything." Faye nods.

"Would that be preferable?"
