Hello again.

Nova leaves it at that, finishing her tea and placing her cup down.

"Well, how about we talk about something more light-hearted?"

As much as she loved talking about destinies and all that, she was supposed to get to know him. They had plenty of time to figure out what they want out of the future.

[Gunslinger]

"That's a good idea."

He nods slowly, considering the idea. Truth be told, he hadn't really thought of having such a conversation anytime soon.

"Do you still like to read?"

[Novocaine]

Her eyes light up and she nods.

"Absolutely!"

[Gunslinger]

That reaction makes him smile!

"I have a few books still that you lent me, I'm pretty sure. I never got around to giving them back to you."

[Novocaine]

"Oh?"

Gosh she doesn't even remember which ones those would be, now. Just that they were probably novels that were at a higher reading level than they should have been at.

"Did you finish all of them?"

[Gunslinger]

"I did. A few times, actually."

He laughs softly.

"It's been a long time, after all."

[Novocaine]

"I'm glad you enjoyed them, then. Do...you happen to remember which they were? I assume it was something with dragons..."

She had a sort of fixation.

[Gunslinger]

"If I remember right... one of them was the origin story of Chromatic and Metal dragons."

Or something like that.

[Novocaine]

"Ahhhh that one was so goooood." she grins!

"Feel free to keep those books, my dad got me new copies since I thought I lost them. I think it bothered him more than me that some of my collections were no longer complete."

[Gunslinger]

"He's into books too?"

Daniel lifts his eyebrow.

"It's a good series. I'd read more, if you wanted to lend me some."

[Novocaine]

"He's nuts about books." she laughs. "I'll lend you the rest, since this time I can find you if you keep them."

[Gunslinger]

"Oh, that's right."

He taps the table thoughtfully.

"What does... uh... this mean? Like, are we expected to live together, or...?"

[Novocaine]

"I think it means whatever we want it to, right now." she admits.

"My parents said this was just to remove a distraction. Actually getting married shouldn't be a priority until we've become Reclaimers, for example. If living together will help us work together, I think that's more of a concern for them than actually building a relationship."

She gives a shrug.

"Of course both can go hand in hand, right? The better you get along, the more in sync you could become. Or if we care too much, it could do the very opposite. Irrational reactions and all that."

[Gunslinger]

"I wouldn't worry too much about irrational reactions."

After all, he's willing to bring in his own brother if he goes rogue, this would be the same.

"I'm willing to give it a try, though... I don't have a lot of space in my apartment."

[Novocaine]

"I don't have my own place..." she admits with a frown.
