Daniel immediately stands at attention once Roy approaches!

With the pleasantries cut short, Nova would give the question barely a thought.

"Myself. My team deserves to see what their leader is capable of in all respects, and I should know what I'm sending them in to following that."

And so... the asshole reappeared.

Charlie didn't bother to get up from where she was sitting, The Boy, because she couldn't remember his name anymore, had told her that he and Nova were childhood friends. Or had been in the midst of it before Creepy Commander decided to come back. Silver eyes watched the both of them as they exchanged commentary and Nova threw herself under the bus. As long as she was leader, Charlie wouldn't say anything, though she would have preferred to go first because she had probably been put through worse. But, that didn't matter. She figured there was no reason to speak up so she leaned back and relaxed letting Nova take one for the team.

[Sir Galahad]

Smiling, Roy would nod.

"Ah, a well thought out course of action is always the best to take. You'd rather not send your squad into the unknown, I can definitely appreciate that. However, that being said it is NOT wise to send in the Squad Leader to the unknown. A better choice would be to send one of the other two in so that you can assess the situation. Making the unknown, known, that way you are able to create an appropriate plan of action and not just shooting wildly into the dark."

He would look to Daniel.

"I'm sure Daniel here can tell you that shooting blind is rarely a good idea."

Then back to Nova.

"Now, would you like to make adjustments to you current battle plan by sending in one of the others or going first yourself?"

Daniel nods in response when he's spoken to, but doesn't answer.

If Nova was going to be the leader, then she had to make this decision, not him.

[Novocaine]

"Yes, I had considered that." she nods.

"Perhaps I misunderstood what I was picking for, then. I simply meant to lead by example." she explains, scratching the back of her neck.

"However, if I'm to treat this like a mission...yes. I will change it. Miss Frost seems a jack of all trades. The unknown likely requires her adaptability, so I would say she should go first."

It was unsurprising that Creepy Commander decided that sending the team leader out first was the worst course of action. If they left the team without a leader then it would.. possibly, turn into chaos. She had no doubts that she and Boy would be able to work together if it was necessary there were only two of them. Two people could work together fairly well as long as neither of them were extremely bull headed. However, you added more people into the mix and the dynamic changed. Thus, she had always preferred to partner up unless they had a solid leader.

Nova seemed to think about changing her answer and then did. Frost looked up at the sound of her name and slowly rose from the ground where she had been sitting leisurely to see how things unfolded. Brushing off her back side she looked at Nova and then Creepy Commander.

"Sure, lets go." she said with a bit of a grin.

Frost liked work, she liked being a soldier, she knew no other way to be. Her life was all training, pushing herself to the limits, and training some more. There was little free time and what free time she had was usually spent learning more useful skills to use out in the field.

[Sir Galahad]

Roy frowned and shook his head. She took the bait.

"Tsk tsk. As a leader it is important to make calls based on all the information you have available. But you should always trust your instincts. You should never second guess yourself."

That being said.

"Alright. Ms. Frost, if you would please follow me. As for you two."

He would hand Nova and Daniel each a piece of paper, both papers would have different locations on them.

"If you would please report to your assigned location, you will be given your tasks and monitored there."

With that Roy would turn to leave, and if Charlie didn't keep on his heels he would have no issues leaving her behind. To auto fail her assignment.

Oh. Okay...

Daniel reaches out to take the paper, then nods.

"Sir."

With that, he spares a glance at Nova before heading off to his assigned location!

Nova raises a brow but keeps from giving an awkward laugh at this apparent test she failed. He made it sound like he hadn't JUST given her more information to work from but she supposes the lesson here is don't listen to him?

She chalks it up to him being kind of a weirdo and just takes the paper, not letting herself be bothered with what he said. She stands by her change of mind following what she believed she understood from what he said. If he doesn't want her to second guess herself, she wasn't second guessing her change of plan.

"Understood." is all she'd say, looking back at Daniel briefly before heading for her own location.

Frost didn't really have anything to say. She fell into an easy step just slightly behind Creepy Commander since he outranked her. Otherwise she had no issues with keeping up. She was well trained, but he would know what kind of rigorous trainings that she and her brothers had been put through. Not since they were young, because it was since they were born. As soon as they could walk, before they could really speak, they were training, they were learning. There weren't blocks and toys and fun. There was just training, sleeping, and training.

She was just a quiet person over all. Raised to know not to talk about of turn, raised to know not to talk needlessly, she just followed CC as he went.
