Country Roads (GM)

Cael had finally left Cabal behind with nothing but a pack of clothes and provisions on his back and a notion to follow the road wherever it took him.  He didn't have a destination in mind, and there was nothing specific that he was looking for, just the vague sense of needing to find a meaning out there in the world.  A sense that he could help someone, and that he didn't have to be who he used to be.

Cael randomly heads north, towards those territories that rim the border between the south and the Deadlands.

As he's coming across a small village, he sees billows of smoke rising from some of the poorly-made huts!

Cael makes his way toward the huts and the smoke!

There's several tanned men and women running about, setting fire to huts and dancing in delight! They seem to all be shirtless.

The people who had lived in the small village are all huddled in a group near the middle of the village, surrounded!

"Stop this!"

Cael shouted as he dropped his bag.

One of the women turns to look at him, then laughs and throws a torch towards him.

"Join in, brother!"

Cael would smack the torch out of the way and walk toward the group.

"Let these people go free."

There was little he could do for the huts on fire. He didn't have Lann's gifts, but he could protect these people at least. Where there was life there was hope.

They all stop dancing, and one of the larger guys starts walking up to Cael.

"Hey, you're not one of us... get in the circle."

He goes to grab Cael's shoulder to force him towards the villagers!

Cael would try to shrug him off.

"I said let these people go free."

His grip remains solid, and the man starts squeezing.

Cael just keeps staring at him, his eyes narrowing.

Clicking a switch at the heel of the boot turns the mini jets into turbo, allowing for a vast increase in speed according to the wearers power. Add energy to speed for five posts. Two of the villagers go to make a break for it, before several torches are thrown towards them, setting them on fire!

Strangely enough, Cael can tell they all came from the same person, who smiles at Cael.

Cael would extend an arm toward the people, adding space between them and the torches to cause them to fly off to the side away from them!

"Try me first."

His heart-shaped knuckles would appear on his fists, almost sparkling in the firelight.
