Shin would grin and let her have her moment standing tall and proud in front of Malice before Alex gave a bow and walked off to make the call for the hospital workers to come quickly, which they would, being there in a matter of minutes kind of used to showing up when Malice calls.
Shin would carefully lift Ali and carry her inside the mansion to the main lobby with the floor of cushions to set her down. The liquid she drank would numb some of the pain, and help the healing process and slow or stop any real internal injuries, keeping liquid in her lungs to a minimum.
Shin would stay near by when the hospital workers began bandaging her, though all the males respectfully left the room when it came to covering her ribs. She was given something akin to armor to protect her ribs while they healed and wrapped to make sure everything stayed in place. Made it difficult to breath, but not so much it was a labor. Eventually everyone would be in the same room, some of the mansion workers having returned to hear the story of Ali versus the leader of Vindicta. Malice may have embellished a bit of Ali's achievement to add suspense and drama, but it would be a spot of fun before the inevitable need to depart tot he next land.
"Well, Malice. Thanks for hosting and making sure Ali got medical treatment, but we do need to leave to our next destination."

Somehow, Ali coudln't imagine the staff not being used to the need for medical care after Malice was done with a fight. She let herself be carried without complaint, head resting against Shin as they entered the now busted manor, glad for the numbing effect and healing as she was resituated.
"Please tell me I didn't get you in the blast, too." She frowned as she looked at Shin, concerned about injuring an ally as the team fussed. She didn't worry much at the wrapping on her ribs; she'd had worse in the same area and bore the burn scar to prove it.
Malice's story was a bit more fanciful than what actually happened, but she knew the merit of a good battle tale and found a faint blush spreading across her cheeks at being the center of one that someone else's version of it. And would swear every second of it was true. But the luxury didn't last long, and the redhead nodded as Shin spoke of leaving.
"Thank you for honor and aid, but we do need to move on."

Shin would answer Ali.
"It wasn't your fault. There was no safe spot for that fight, you both are pretty scary when you get serious it seems, heh."
Shin scratched at the tip of his nose, but smiled. Malice would stand as Shin offered to help Ali up. He'd also offer to help Ali out, but either way would walk them both back to their jeep.
"Hopefully the other leader's can help you grow as well."
Malice would say as he stood outside his mansion to watch them leave. Shin would help Ali into the vehicle before going to drive again.
"Where to this time?"

Ali would look towards the west side of the manor when the intense fight was mentioned, silently agreeing. Taking Shin's hand as both escort and first to offer, the mage rose from the pillows with as much dignity as she could manage and suffer any additional pain or discomfort in silence as they went.
"The future is full or surprises." Ali would nod to Malice in farewell, wondering about the phrasing for a moment and little more. It was hard to say what growth would come out of expanding her horizons.
Sighing as she took shotgun, she pulled out her PT again to mark to distance to their next destination as well as prepare for some quick research.
"Next stop, Zekunft." She wasn't sure how she'd feel about the place. On one hand, it sounded like it could be a lot like home. On the other, it would likely mean more rigid social class and expectations. Again.

Shin would start up the engine and drive off to and head to leave Vindicta and head towards Zekunft.

They drove in silence for a bit! Yay!
"Sorry if I was abrupt, earlier." Meaning when they first met Malice. The words were as stiff as her posture. Like Michael, Shin had been elevated in her mind to a different status, and though she was mostly gazing out the window, she did look at him from the side. Not to mention how rarely she apologized.

Shin would nod.
"No biggie. The mission is pretty important. Though you will probably have the lead in the next location. I've been to some fancy events and can handle basic etiquette, but I'm a soldier. Delicate isn't exactly my strong suit, so if you don't mind I think I'll be the silent puckish rogue at your service for this trip."
Shin would give a wink.

Ali nodded, accepting her role in the next area with a silent sigh. It was important, and she would see it through, but she would also be the one talking her way into or out of any misunderstandings. Which meant it could go either way at a given moment.
"Don't worry, I'll protect you," she mused with a bit of good-natured sarcasm.
"Do we know of anything major going on in the territories there?" Again, pulling up the PT to check herself as they talk.

"That actually makes me feel better."
Though when it came to her question, Shin had to think about it.
"I think currently the big thing is the death of the Dragon who joined Zekunft and his territory being shifted to another Zekunft noble. Otherwise it's the usual peace and pacifist ways."

The poor man was going to take comfort in a barb wire trap, but Ali opted not to say as much. She shifted instead, the smile fading as she considered what they would be walking into, instead.
"That should be relatively simple to avoid, then." It was a pretty big deal, considering the Dragons had been branded traitors, only to have one turn around and join a different territory's protectorate.
She was content to let things be for now, feeling herself drift a little.

As an eventuality they would reach the border's of the first Zekunft protectorate. The land had been separated somehow with a large ravine with some sort of controlled Qi scar inside of it as a mote. The truck would fit nicely on a large bridge crossing over a few royal guards would stop the truck. The uniformed, soft spoken and blank faces of the royal guards approached the driver window.
"Reasons's for travel."
The monotone soldier would say before Shin would respond.
"Emergency messanger status to the territory leaders on behalf of King Oleander, President Asiv, and High Chancellor Salabim."
The soldier would whip out a PT and mark down the reasons as well as identity information.
"Proceed."
Shin would begin driving. Shin would decide to explain ahead of time.
"Zekunft preaches and teaches pacifism, but they understand safety and the need to protect yourself. Though loathe of violence they send off volunteers or criminals to be trained and turned into Royal Guards. For every thousand citizens they say there is one royal guard. While the border hosts only a hundred or so Royal Guards they are from the stock of multiple different Nobles, as each Noble is allowed a certain number of Royal Guards for personal protection as a sign of status. However they don't claim to have a standing army for all of Zekunft the Royal Guards combat abilities would rival some of the higher up's. Where as you were once or had seen rookies at Cabal or Ayatlan, there are no rookies in the Royal Guard. They come out of their training as if they were war hardened veterans capable of holding their own against Hero level members of the Gods, or Black Ops."

Ali looked over the border with mild interest, noting the qi scar and, more specifically, how well tailored it was adapted to. As much as the architecture did, however, she couldn't help but notice how uniform the royal guards were. Meticulous, taking notes, and aware. Names and titles that mattered. She shifted in her seat as they were given the okay to proceed, more than happy to let Shin do the talking as he explained about the soldiers they saw.
The focus was admirable, but something about the monotone responses they'd been given made her uncomfortable.
"They're that strong?" She blinked, looking at Shin in disbelief, then looking in the rearview mirror to get another look at the guards they had passed. There were that many of them just about? Though they clearly had the discipline, from the sound of things. She couldn't think of many who would have that power and have such a passive view. Some, but not many.
"So it's probably safe to assume the high nobles have more decorating them." You could hear the mental eyeroll.

Shin would drive them through a few more check points, there was one seemingly every protectorate as a show more than anything else you could be sure. It wasn't security it was an announcement that a noble owned the lands you were on.
"Yes, they are a show of your nobility. The more you surround yourself with them, the closer you are to Lady Angelonia's inner circle. There are rumors they also represent how wealthy you are within the nobility. You may know that they trade in these odd colored pearls here as currency and within the territory the regular money everyone else accepts is useless."
Eventually tho they reach the royal palace, a large building adorned with the colors of her family house, white and gold. A procession of ten royal guards stood like statues, yard ornaments peering outwards like gargoyles. Shin would get out and open the door for Allison, holding a hand out for her to take and stiffening it so she could use it for support without being obvious if needed. Looking up at the stairs to the front doors to the palace they would see her. Lady Angelonia Kaizer.
"Welcome, I felt it prudent to come and welcome you on your arrival personally. The royal guards at the border alerted me to a situation that sounds like an emergency. Please, come inside and let us talk."
Two royal guards would open the large doors and hold them in place waiting. Angelonia herself would also be waiting.

She nodded, imagining the difference. Every gate was an announcement that made her stomach churn, destroying some of the scenery she might otherwise have enjoyed. At least Shin was decent company. It was odd that there was no actual currency outside how the pearls worked, wondering how prudent it might be to get one as a form of currency and bring it back to Ayatlan...
She'd worry about that on the trip out.
Nobility or not, she couldn't help but appreciate the palace itself, the splendor beyond opulence to the point it felt like she'd just crawled out of a mud puddle to greet Lady Angelonia. It made her insides squirm. Still, she took the offered arm when Shin opened the door, looking up to see the ruler waiting for them already, the exact opposite of Malice in so many ways she lost count.
"Thank you, your Majesty." She nodded, a deep gesture since bowing was out of the question, silently praying she had the right title. Fuck. Who knew paying attention to that back at the academy might save her from falling on her figurative face after she left.
Why were they waiting?
Giving Shin's arm a small squeeze, Ali would proceed towards the palace, head held high as if there was nothing wrong with her. Preston's seal was with her this time, though she wouldn't present it just yet.

Inside they would be led to a conference hall with one royal guard inside for anything they might need. Allison would be given a nice seat and Angelonia had a large back chair with a desk between them. Shin took the fact there wasn't a place for him to sit as a go stand with the help gesture and he would. He'd go a stand next to the Royal Guard.
"You may call me Lady Angelonia if you like. May I know your name and title?"
