Roy pouted.

"It continually appeared. It seemed weird."

It was as honest as he could say.

[Novocaine]

Nova just kinda nudges Daniel.

God, just apologize or something.

[Sir Galahad]

"I'll make a note that you think pie is weird. Even if I researched what your favorite pie was..."

Roy would clears his throat.

"So, Miss Vivienne, can you explain what you think your mission objective was and why?"

[Gunslinger]

"....m sorry."

Daniel mumbles.

[Novocaine]

"Judging from the map and what I found at the designated location, I was supposed to do something with that child in the canister. My assumption was take it as I was given no instruction on retrieving merely a sample. As for why, I suppose there could be multiple reasons. We were either reclaiming something or there was something of significance with that child."

Something that needed research she gathers.

Roy was still too upset to accept an apology. But he would nod at Nova.

"An astute observation. Yes. Though, that child was only half your objective. Granted that isn't your fault for not knowing, as previously stated I was testing your skills to see how far you would get before failing. This was a new impossible task to win. Anyways, that Child and it's mother, are both Prota's property, she abandoned her squad in the field sought out an illegal scientist and wiped her programming and almost killed that infant that we... well lets just say we are well vested in the child's future and in it's development. I want you two, to collect them, both. And return them to me alive and intact. But such a task is impossible for you two right now."

He would let that sink in before asking.

"So, I'm curious. How far would you say your skills are, individually, and as a team, from achieving your mission?"

[Gunslinger]

"I have a long way to go, personally."

David admits.

"I'm not at the level of a Reclaimer yet, and if she were to be protected by others, we would face an uphill battle."

[Novocaine]

"Indeed."

Nova would bring a hand to her chin in thought.

"Considering their abilities, numbers and speed...at minimum we would need to be twice as powerful as we are currently. Perhaps more..."

She didn't get to really test it out, but the ease in which they caught up to her was telling enough.

[Sir Galahad]

"Indeed. You both seem to understand what you are up against. Good. Then, what would each of you like to focus your training on? And would you like to train together or separately?"

[Gunslinger]

"I want to be able to do more damage."

Daniel says flatly.

"I've shot people twice, now, and they've basically ignored me."

[Novocaine]

Nova hides her amusement at that.

"I'd like to focus on my own strength. My Qi is a useful tool, but I don't want to rely on it too heavily. Actually, a balance would be ideal."

And since Daniel didn't answer the second question.

"If it must be one or the other, I would say together. It sounds like it will be crucial to work together for the future task you have assigned us."

[Sir Galahad]

Roy would smile.

"Then I suggest a trip to Vindicta for the both of you. Fight with them, learn from them. Use your Qi as little as possible. This will help you get strong and deal more damage. I'm sure."

[Gunslinger]

"What."

Vindicta was for scum.

[Novocaine]

"Hm. We can just waltz in there, then?"
