He shook his head.

"None for me. I see the value of becoming a symbol and representing something in that manner. And it's effective. Many leaders and famous figures do it. All of the Dragons for example, as well as the current leaders of the big five."

He'd press his glasses as his chin lowered ever so slightly, glancing at her with downcast eyes.

"I see myself less as a symbol and more as a caretaker. A preserver of knowledge, and an eager student of the mysteries this world still contains."

A symbol drew attention, it was immutable in its authority and unshakable in its foundation. He was no so, at least he didn't believe himself so. He was more willing to adapt to protect the knowledge that he was charged with safekeeping. Acting as both a archivist of it, as well as a gatekeeper as to who is worthy of said knowledge.

"I see," she mused softly, nodding slightly after his explanation.

"I think it's a wise way to look at things. I would have passed on symbolism not so long ago. Life has a way of surprising you. But those who preserve knowledge has some of the best insight and understanding." She would have loved to have that, but one couldn't stand peacefully by as a world of warriors encroached. She already had a champion to enforce the changes of peace.

Which brought something else to mind as they turned and the song started to slow.

"Pardon my forwardness, but might I be able to call on you in the next few days?" As much as she enjoyed the attention and conversation, Celia was aware of other people's interests. Preston wasn't going to be able to be her dance partner for too long.
