When Blake awoke the day after the Castle fell his heart still ached. What had happened across the sea had been a disaster. He had achieved his objective but the cost had been high, so high that he feel like he lost more than he gained. At least on a personal level.
Getting dressed he would look out of the windows to the rising sun. The emptiness in his heart aching as he found himself more alone than he had been in quiet some time.
"Virgil... why did you do that?"
He asked himself. Thinking about Virgil and his sacrifice.

A light would flash from behind Blake as orbs gathered and Virgil reformed.
"Because it was the best option I could come up with."

Blake spun around, his eyes wide at seeing Virgil. Time stood still for what felt like an eternity before Blake grabbed Virgil and pulled him into a tight bear hug.
"Did you know that you would come back!?"

Virgil was caught off guard by the hug, but reciprocated with an awkward back pat with his arms trapped at his sides cause he tensed up when he was grabbed. However the question made him tilt his head to think.
"I did not know if I would come back or not."

"Are you okay?"
He asked. Stepping back to give Virgil space.

"Yes, I am back and in perfect condition."
Virgil would nod.
"Did we succeed?"

"The castle fell, yes. Do you know if the Monster and Quinn survived?"

"They did both survive. The Monster forced The Frost King to retreat with Quinn's help. However Quinn was badly injured during the battle. They both live."

He breathed a sigh of relief. That was one thing off of his chest. But it wasn't the only thing weighing on him. Virgil was back, but neither of them knew he would come back. He gave his life for Blake and Aurora. He gave his life for the mission. Virgil deserved more than he thought anyone really gave him credit for, Blake only knew there was so much he didn't know about Virgil and the others.
"Virgil, I have a question. Are you happy here? What do you want to do with your life?"

Virgil's eye brows would rise from the questions, but he would consider them, looking down and to the side.
"Yes, I am happy."
The other one though.
"I'm unsure what I want to do with my life. That doesn't seem to be a question with a definitive answer. However, I do wish to see how far this kingdom can go."

He frowned slightly at the downward look but nodded. He hoped Virgil was being honest with him.
"What can you tell me about this stone from the Contract Crystal that we destroyed?"
He asked, holding out the pebble.

Virgil would reach out and hold the pebble for inspection.
"It seems to be mutated crystal. Kind of like the Qi Beast Crystals Prota use except this one is full already. It's not a Qi Beast, but it is something."

"Do you know what is in it? Or how I use it?"

"You need the other two pieces."
Virgil says as he rubs his temple.
"There is... Strain in learning about this crystal."

"That's okay. If you can't learn about it, that's fine."
He was honestly just happy to have Virgil back.
"Where are the other two pieces then? Does the Conqueror have them?"
