She turned to Drake after seeing Spike run off. "You don't know my position... Jericho and I are people of the Blood Territory and she is our current leader after Raikotsu died... we have no other... If I leave her to die I could be branded traitor. I would hope as much sacrifice as we have already made Jericho would understand." still it felt wrong hearing it come out of her mouth. The deviance from the standard meant potential. Jericho carefully searches the pockets of the attire, keeping his other hand close to the back of its neck in case of movement. Now that he wasn't hitting his bones against metal, he called out "I am here." in 7 second intervals.

Celia gets to figure out how the heck to use a crossbow, because it's definitely not just lift and shoot!
And Alice gets shot at! She jumps and turns, back facing the hold Drake and Dime disappeared into and Grackle got beat up some more.
Because she's totally covering them. Totally.
"Come on!" Good god if they hit Alice they were gonna die.

Jericho wouldn't find anything in the pockets. But Dime and Drake could see him ruffling through the well-dressed man's pockets.
The Gackle would get kneed and would reach back with its disjointed joints to grab Spike by the head and try to lift him up!
Alice gets shot! A massive hole appearing in her stomach once again, her eyes widening as she fell against the wall, slumping to the ground in a rapidly growing pool of blood. Her body slowly turning translucent.
"W-why...?"
She'd weakly ask, tears filling her eyes.
"W-why does no one like me? Friends... Daddy... Why does everyone hurt me?"
Her hand moved to her stomach weakly, fading away a little more.
"I just want to be loved... Just... Once..."

"You'll always have at least one friend, Alice. Do you remember his name?" She didn't want to know what happened to Daddy or the others, whom she assumed were the kids outside.
"He'll always love you. People will have good memories of you. Like the party you gave us today."

Jericho's attention peaked at the sound of the shot. He began moving toward the sound cautiously, searching diligently, returning to his clanging.

Sessha turns away from the dying girl since she's in subpar hands, and good hands.
She gets up and backs away from the Gackle and Sage, watching for now since she doesn't want to get in the way. This is part of his plan, right?

Drake would say looking at Jericho. Then he would turn to Dime.
"Now I see why you wouldn't care if he died. Well. He's alive. Best go check how everyone else is doing especially after that shot we just heard."
With that he would turn and walk back towards the group. It was in this moment things would click.
"Wait... did you say something about Raikotsu earlier?"

The Gackle is captured in the net while Daniel reloads!
Alice reaches for the blood-soaked bear but her hands go right through it.
"I.... I...." and she would vanish, the walls of the house crumbling and falling as the darkness engulfed and enveloped everyone. They would awake in their beds, Cecilia and Sessha bleeding from the wounds the Gackle had given them.
Spike would hear the chittering of a mouse just out of sight.
The flail was still gripped in Drake's hand when he awoke.
Dime was left with more questions than answers, her heart split between her loyalties.
Daniel would always carry the feeling of focus with him that he held at that moment when he shot Alice.
And Jericho, for just a brief moment Jericho could see yellow eyes watching him from the shadows in the corner of his bedroom. Only able to be seen from the corner of his eyes, until the day he dies.

Celia picked up the bear to hand to Alice when her hand went through, not understanding but not being able to turn away from a sad and lonely, dying little girl. She stood to address the Gackle and the people she met, but then the world went dark.
She awoke in her bed with a gasp and the smell of blood. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she reached out a hand and pulled it back to reveal not her imagination but actual blood. She stared in silence, unable to process what she saw, and struggled out of bed. Her limbs felt heavy, her vision blurred as every footstep she took to get medical aid added her own blood to the Crimson Castle.
A single sob broke through the knot in her throat as she went, otherwise silent.
