Making heads or tails of it! (Sessha/Preston/Open)

[Onides Une]

Oni slung a light back over her shoulder going through a mental check on everything she needed. With everything coming together it seemed to be looking just right and it was just about high noon. She had messaged Sessha about when to start getting ready a day or so ago. She had hoped she had time to recuperate. Oni would feel pretty bad if Sessha was being dragged across Ayatlan with sore feet.

She would meet Sessha at the train station and just see how it all would go.

[Sessha]

Sessha would find Oni at the train station, looking like her legs had healed up nicely, but now she had bandages on her shoulder...

Unlike Oni, it didn't seem like Sessha really brought anything with her.

"It is most exciting! We are to be doing this and it is feeling like it arrived quickly!"

[Onides Une]

"Yeah I don't expect it to be a very long trip but they might have us do some tests, if we don't get the results today then I am sure they will be forwarded right to us." Oni would be making the trade for train passes and after heading to the appropriate car they will be departing in. "Honestly I am a bit nervous, excited! but nervous..."

Still, she was not sure if anything would make her feel differently she would return her attention of"I see you have been taking my advice," she pointed to Sessha's wrapped shoulder. "Who have you spared with lately?"

[Sessha]

Sessha wasn't much used to traveling in these so she was perhaps more interested in trains than most would be. Once they were seated, Sessha would glance at her shoulder from Oni's question.

"Oh! It is such strange thing. It is like dream? But it is real! I am child with many other children, and we are attacked! But kitty with the body of human! Big claws! Like this!"

She curls her fingers to demonstrate such claws. It's not a great example.

"It leap from ceiling! And plunge great claws into the shoulder! Very naughty. It is a Grackle?"

[Onides Une]

"A grackle??" Oni tried to imagine what those were. Not something she could recall being that devastating unless it was a Qi beast in itself. "You said it was a dream but you actually got injured? With other people too? Anyone, you knew?"

[Sessha]

She tries really hard to think if she's ever seen them personally...but she admittedly didn't know that many kids outside her town.

"No." she shakes her head somewhat in disappointment. "One said he is S-sage? Susage?? Another say she is Celia?"

They weren't names that rang any bells for her, but, since they were now acquainted she supposes she technically knew them now. "Knew" them.

[Onides Une]

Oni tried to make heads or tails of the names Sessha remembered but she was not sure if she could be a hundred percent sure she knew who they might be.

"If you met someone who called themselves Sage at least... I might know of them?" nothing substantial however. She shrugged it off. "Anyway people are making reports of similar happenings all over the land. I wonder what could be causing them..?" as of this moment she cant say she has had one of those experiences.

[Sessha]

"Oh? You know?" she perked up.

Despite not one person owning a name in the world, it wasn't one she assumed was supremely common? So there was a chance the link was real.

"If it is happening to many, then I am happy. I am not of losing my mind. Still not crazy."

[Onides Une]

Oni shook her head. "Many strange things happen in this world without logic. Someone just might truly be powerful enough to not only be teleporting but altering appearances of people to test or... I don't know... Just play a twisted game?"

[Sessha]

"But not always the same people..." Sessha says thoughtfully. This had been the only time she'd been pulled away like that, from memory. At least, not counting talking to the snake...but there were no others in that situation.

"It is very strange. Maybe ask the Sciencers about this too."

[Onides Une]

"For sure something to ponder." the train had started and was well on its way to Ayatlan.

It got Oni thinking about her transformation into a Qi user. As already a confusing of a time as that might have been Oni grew more nervous on if they will find something... Wrong with her.

[Sessha]

"Mhm." Sessha would nod, giving it a little bit of thought but deciding she didn't know enough about it to really get anywhere.

As they started moving, Sessha would casually glance out the window, interested in watching the scenery change little by little.

"It is like what? This place we are going?"

It might be good to know how to behave over there.

[Onides Une]

"Hm..?" as if snapped from her thoughts she took a moment to register what Sessha was asking. "Oh... Well it is strict. I've only visited once or twice for a vacation. I actually didn't get to see a whole lot, but its quite magical. Ayatlan is the leading researcher of Mana, what we call Qi they call Mana all the same. They are scholarly and studied. Compared to the brutish nature of Cabal they are the exact opposite. A whole territory of Wizards who take pride in authority, decorum, and most of all enjoy forever learning."

[Sessha]

Sessha gives a sheepish laugh.

"Ah. I will have to be trying hard not to displease."

Not that she was manner-less, but, coming from a background full of combat, she might be a bit rougher around the edges than some. Let's not forget she jumped on a dinner table recently...

"They...are nice?"

[Onides Une]

"Well High Chancellor Preston is... we hung out on an occasion or two even though I look the way I do and ended up on the middle-class end of the spectrum... he never separated that from treating me as a person better yet a friend." Oni smiled.
