His eye would glow as the black mark spread over his face, his grin twisting to be almost sinister as he extended a hand out to Malice. Energy building in his palm, a mass of ever-shifting colors would fire from his fingertips to the warrior. Pride would show him what he could do.

"Oh yeah!"

Malice would punch the energy beam coming at him. His fist meeting the mass of energy as arcs of energy separated from it running down his arm and into his shoulder, a few tendrils licking at his face as both the momentum of his punch and the energy mass seemed to halt in momentum against each other before Malice took another step forward and forced the mass to the side flinging it into the distance to be someone elses problem.

His arm was red like a severe sun burn, and he had a few stripes of red on his face like he had been slapped a few times by a small stick leaving welts. His grin was still there though as he held his right wrist in his left hand, the arm shaking a bit from the damage and exertion.

"HAHA! Well my arm is kind of numb. Now my only question is how tough are you?"

With that Malice's right hand would clench back into a fist and the shaking would stop before he suddenly moved, but he moved in such a way the edges of his form seemed to become vague blurs as he threw a clothes line with his right arm at Joy, while spinning with a heel kick to the side of Pride's face!

[Joy]

With her claw still active, Joy drew the larger arm across her body to help shield the blow that was more like a blur. She could barely make out his form as his arm came at her, knocking her back with a grunt that sent her flying backward as the force of his impact caused the bones in her arm to crack in a painful way. Her fingers flexed and dug into the earth to slow the rough landing, but it was clear he caused damage that she couldn't match.

She pushed herself up with her good arm, forcing air into her lungs with each heavy breath.

Pride said as he stepped into the kick. The Alabaster shell over his skin would crack, his cheek bruising from the impact, but he was still standing.

Malice would begin laughing.

"Yes you are. Well, you get points off for being Qi users, but you won't be turned away. You get points for being in control of it. I'd say you fit in just fine."

[Joy]

"Good." Joy's voice retained its even tone, but there was a glint of satisfaction on her face. After all that fuss, it would be stupid to turn them away now just for qi. She rolled her shoulders as she approached again.

"When do we leave?"

[Pride]

He shrugged as the mask on his face slowly began to shrink.

"We make do with who we are."

[Zack Asiv]

Malice would nod at both as they gave their piece.

"So here everything you want is won in combat. Anyone and everyone can become Vindicta's ruler by defeating the King of Fighters. While we may fight between ourselves it is never malicious, or with intent to murder or maim. You pick out your own land here, build your own house, and do trade as you see fit. Live your life how you want. Join the military, go on a journey, but always know that this land is your home. Your only disadvantage is your Qi, it is seen as a cheat, or crutch for a lack of true physical ability. So using it in a dispute may get you the win, but it will be seen as dishonorable in the eyes of the law. Beyond that, what would you like to do?"

[Pride]

"Sounds like I gotta fight for some land. Can't have a life without a home. Point me to who I gotta punch to get something near a river."

He'd say with a wicked grin.

[Joy]

She could get behind that.

"Sounds like I'm going to need to get supplies for it." Assuming whoever it was wasn't going to fight both of them. And unused land was a waste to everyone if there wasn't shelter.

[Zack Asiv]

"You are in luck I would say. The majority of the population lives in Border City. Sitting on the border training day in and day out, hunting bandits and praying for the day someone is dumb enough to attack our country."

He would shrug but also add.

"There may be abandoned buildings by some rivers, or just plain unused land."

[Pride]

"Well, that works for me. What about you Joy?"

Joy nods in what is probably the simplest and easiest agreement Pride's gotten out of her in years!

"Let's see what they've got."
