Her brows knit together at the simple explanation. What did violence have to do with it?
"A difference in skill, perhaps. Definitely not over violence." She was a battle mage; she was used to it. "My training, specifically, revolves around that. Not just an offense, but it puts me at the front lines more often than not."

Cultural, then, or personal. She wasn't sure which. It was also ridiculous. The notion of not fighting a woman because she's a woman was an old one, and one that would have had her studying something else other than what she felt was a natural inclination and desire.
"And if a woman comes at you with a weapon on the field?" She's frowning now.
