"I would hardly call that living. You can't build a life if you've already given it to someone else to take away at a whim."

He didn't understand these people or why so many of them were so willing to just hand over their lives and freedom. The numbered were all crazy. It was the only explanation.

They hadn't exactly made a move to cover their tracks, but Celia was more curious about who was coming than she was afraid. It was...an odd feeling. She expected fear: fear of being punished, mostly, rather than harmed. Even without her guard, they couldnt' exactly claim they found her in teh trainign grounds itself. No one would believe it.

"Mitsuki, Zola, make yourselves scarce for the moment," she murmured, sliding on the ring she'd received as a gift. She'd never thought to need it, but it was better to remain unseen than dragged back. "I want to see who is following us." Perhaps one of the men at the front gate? Either way, hopefully it would be enough to be hidden as she took another couple of steps back.

Valerian shakes his head.

"No, I mean, who could control you? Without your permission."

[Zack Asiv]

"If we were to settle anywhere else we would be hunted and slaughtered anyways. Or we will be used to start another war. And to answer your question sir... The scary part is we don't know who or how many can control us. Any scientist that helped make us, the man who started the war himself. Any high grade experiment designated to do so that is still alive. Anyone with access to the data or process to do so."

Silver seemed annoyed, but also in a sad way explaining that.

Zola contorts and uses her claws to slip into some panel behind pipes on the ceiling while Mitsuki outright vanishes. Celia notes it's the red head and blue haired guys from the main gate.

"She is pretty crafty for a Zekunft Noble, ya'know?"

"Yeah isn't often someone just outright sneaks off and doesn't take the direct approach."

"Oh hey, we are at the village. Maybe she exited and is mingling."

"Yeah probably. Let's just head back. No point if she is already out there. Her buddies should be out there anyways."

"Yeah alright."

They turn to leave.

"If you are hunted for settling somewhere else, then defend your chosen home. This is a choice born out of fear."

Valerian frowns so hard at that.

It's clear he hates the whole situation.

Celia held her breath as the voices grew louder, their words spiking through the peculiar din that rattled in her mind. Like something was off, but not quiet. Little distractions that sounded like murmurs in fleeting seconds. Nothing and no one else was there with her other than the two guards.

She held her breath, remaining as still as possible as the two turned to leave. What else was there, if they figured she was already in the village with the others?

It took a moment for her to realize that they mentioned her companions, and her brows rose. They managed to fight their way through?

She continues to wait until they're far enough away not to hear her!

Silver would smile at Pride.

"Your vigor reminds me of the new generation. If we went rogue it wouldn't be as simple is fighting on even ground. The entire force of the four great nation's would fall upon us to finish purging our kind from the land. Many soldiers still alive today remember the war. They don't blame any mind control orders we followed, they blame and hate us. From every man and woman, to every newborn our kind has. Have you ever faced a force that large? We would no doubt kill many, but there is no future with that choice. Wisdom is something that comes with time."

After a little bit the two would not even be a noise in the distance. Celia would be free to move around again.

[Pride]

"If you face them in a line maybe. Choose a home you and yours can slip in and out of, where their numbers weaken them. As it is now, you are just waiting for a leader who hates your kind to be the one who gets to decide to execute you all, since you have all willingly placed your heads on the chopping block."

Celia let out a quiet sigh of relief, clearing her throat as she pulled out her PT and tapped the wall with her finger twice.

"You may return." She would plug her PT into one of the terminals again, pulling up her location on teh map again if possible, as well as the displays of the crystal and mysterious weapon. If possible, she will try to capture the images of the information to store it on her PT!

Is she any closer to either?

[Valerian Blackburn]

"You should be dedicating yourselves to finding a way to counteract that kind of conditioning, so you don't live like this anymore."

[Zack Asiv]

Silver would smile at the duo.

"Yes, that's what we did during the war. Until you stare into the glowing eyes of a seeker from Cabal, you really don't know what you are talking about."

He'd sigh and rub his temples a bit.

"That is why we educate ourselves. The programming for the mind control is in our genes, it's part of us. We don't know if our offspring have it or not. We'd have to trust the man who started the war to test it out. The man who put the gene in is. He either can not or does not care to try to remove it. It's not like we can ask him either. We could kill one of the children and allow the corape to be dissected by Cabal scientists. Allowing them to either find nothing, or the secret to controlling us. If they don't already have it. Our agreement allows us to exist and work for them to keep from turning feral."

Celia is able to snap a shot to save to her PT. She is closest to the strange weapon. Zola falls from her spot and Mitsuki pops back into existence.

Celia disconnected her PT, nodding as Zola returned, though she puased as her head came up. She was supposed to find the experiments in Cabal, and had. There were children, learning as many did on teh other side just a short distance away from her, and it sounded like the others had found them, as well.

She reappeared, removing the ring as the strange feeling of hushed voices clammored at her, relief showing on her face for a moment as she looked tow where the waepon was.

"We need to see this weapon." She frowned. "If there's a chance it's used, it'll go to teh village. We may be vulnerable as well." She would lead the way towards where the weapon had been indicated.

"And if they just decide to kill you all?"

Regardless of their answer to Prides question, Valerian nods.

“I hope you find a way then. I truly do.”
