Getting Your Hands Dirty (Event)

[Donovan]

Donovan's arm closes back up and returns to normal, except that now steam is rising from it as it attempts to cool off. He follows Stigma, because she is sometimes suicidal, and thus needed to be looked after.

Preston examines the warning of an error to try and determine what is having an error, and what he can do with whatever is malfunctioning.

[Allison Kazim]

It's definitely a lot to take in. Ali goes over to the hatch door to inspect it!

Player One pokes their peepers in on these pod people!

[Triton Augustus]

What a sight he beheld! Before him were many men, created not by the hands of the Creator but by the hands of mainlanders. The structure he stood within harbored the vessels of bodies, and it also was a testament to man's ability to construct. 

"How shall we proceed, friends?"

[Thorn Wyatt]

The vat itself is difficult to see in, but there is a small glass area to peer through near the top. Inside, there seems to be a reddish-brown liquid. After a moment, a small hand bobs to the surface, before sinking back under by the metal paddle stirring the concoction.

Preston finds the error message has some tiny fine-print, stating “Delivery System Damaged”. Close to the glass view of the men in pods, there is a small control panel. Most of the buttons and sliders are pretty non-descript, but there are three large buttons that stand out. One blue, one red, and one black.

The hatch itself is sealed tightly, however there is a panel on the wall next to the hatch with a clear button for opening/closing.

Stigma squints as a hand bobs up. Did it look like it was melting in the concoction? Or...forming?

[Preston Salabim]

Preston would continue to try and figure out what the machine did so he could make an informed decision on what to do next.

"It seems the contraption is damaged. I haven't deduced just how to safely shut the process down yet."

Yet.

[Allison Kazim]

"The hatch seems simple enough to operate." Ali would leave it alone for now because there's enough other stuff in the room to investigate, looking at the vat and its contents to help Stigma!

[Donovan]

"Someone is in there..."

Donovan would say to Stigma.

"But who, or what... Do you think we should open it?"

[Player 1]

Player 1 presses the red button.

[Triton Augustus]

Triton remains in his pondering, knowing there was naught for him to do.

[Thorn Wyatt]

Stigma can tell that hand was definitely melting.

In fact, those who are looking at the vat can recognize some of the clothes from the villagers who had been dropped through the hole by the hairy monster earlier.

Preston can tell that the blue and black buttons likely have to deal with the men in pods themselves, given their placement on the control panel, while the red, due to being separate, is likely to do something different entirely.

Then the red button is pushed.

Alarms ring out throughout the room, and likely throughout the rest of the construct itself. Yet despite how loud they are, heavy thudding can be heard from the other side of the hatch.

Then the hatch bulges outwards as something strikes it from the other side. Then again. A third time sends the hatch flying outwards, straight into the stairs the group had descended from, while out strides a creature that roars menacingly!

[Donovan]

Donovan was about ask Stigma her thoughts again when the alarms went off. Then the creature. Not good. As much as he enjoyed a fight, he enjoyed fighting humans. Monsters... those were dangerously unpredictable. Donovan would leap down to the base of the Vat.

"Oi! Ugly! Come on over here!"

Donovan would say banging on the large metal tank with his metal arm. Letting it ring niiiiice and loud.

[Stigma Wyatt]

She'd turn to answer Donovan, but she too was interrupted by the alarms sounding off.

That creature was not one she'd seen before. Was this made here, too?

With Donovan going off to get its attention, Stigma take out her sword, waiting for an opening that he may create.
