Getting Your Hands Dirty (Event)

Ali mutters a curse under her breath, now very distracted by the thing that looked like it may have been melted bits of person merged together! She draws her spear and steps back away from Stigma and the vat, also looking for an opening while Donnovan does his thing with...a metal arm.

Someone had been busy. He got props for not immediately charging right at the creature, which was a relief.

"Keep it away from the pods," she warned. Last thing they needed was more clones.

[Preston Salabim]

"Sean, help me figure out how to shut this whole thing down."

Preston said with a frown, adjusting his glasses as his familier popped up in front of him. He would try to leave the monster to the others while he shut down this operation. Preferably before things are made worse.

OOC: Sean can obtain information on just about anything, helping Preston with any research project or political conversation.

Sean can get a lot more out of Items, Gear, or Technology than your average bear. Giving Preston a bonus to using Technology, and enhancing Item effects by 25%.

Sean is a fierce combatant and should Preston need it he will switch with Preston for the remainder of a thread. Preston will be the Sprite and Sean the real person. Sean's stats will be Preston's stats equally distributed between all stats with all of Preston's abilities and gear. (All used Qi or Item uses will still be used and UP will be gained as usual.)

[Player 1]

Player One is absolutely spooked! Oh no! Alarm! Suddenly busting out hatch! Loud noises!

This is now Really Spooky Stuff. With the alarm going off they go to see if it seems like anyone is coming from the rear, and if they need to get that hatch out of the way!

[Triton Augustus]

Triton gazes at the creature, preparing for battle, but he is halted. The man with the arm of steel sought to steal its heed, leading it toward its own demise, truly.

Two other warriors readied for attack. The islander therefore awaited a time when his strength would be called upon.

[Thorn Wyatt]

The creature is drawn towards Donovan and his banging, stomping forwards before swinging its arm at him. The arm extends outwards, stretching like taffy as it thins in the middle in order to grasp for him. The rest of its body starts to expand almost like a balloon!

Sean, and by extension Preston, are easily able to tell that the console deals with the pods. The blue button has something to do with the programming of the men inside, while the red has something to do with their vital signs. There’s also a signal being broadcast to the surrounding area.

Player One spots a glimpse of someone with light hair and dark clothing working in the next room, as if the battle and alarms aren’t even going on. However, the creature is taking up most of the doorway, making it difficult to see.

[Donovan]

Donovan spins to the right. To dodge the arm as he unsheathed his sword and sent a blade beam to cut the vat about 2/3rds of the way up. His hope was cause enough of a hole to send acid spewing at the creature, but not fill the whole room with acid.

Lord of Rage Bastard Sword: +5 Atk


Once per thread this sword can slash a beam of energy that does Donovan's energy in damage plus his attack stat. Donovan can spend Rage stacks to add damage to the output of this attack, or spend 4 Rage stacks to be able to use the beam of energy again

Completely unconcerned with whether or not Donovan's attack works, Stigma was already leaping in to drive her sword into its head!

[Player 1]

Neat, neat, Player One is going to make sure no one's coming down the stairs, and maybe get that hatch door that was sent into it out of the way if they need to. Secure an escape route!

[Allison Kazim]

Whyyyyyy was it inflating? Ali activates her wings, unleashing the four blades at the belly of the beast and hoping to pop it like the balloon it rsembled as Stigma went for the head.

"Kek!" No playing nice.

Kazim Blade Wings (+12 Eng)- 2.) Fly forward individually like four sword sized arrows doing her energy in dmg + her Spd. (Does the same amount of dmg if hit by one or all four.)

Zero Ability: Manafication ("Kek") - Drawing on energy and channeling it into her weapon, Ali is able to add 100% her ENG to her attack. (Using wing blades as weapon)

[Preston Salabim]

Preston would have Sean help him try to work on disrupting the signal being transmitted. He assumed he could try to reprogram the people being produced, or shut down their vitals, but if they were acting of one mind the signal seemed to be the likely culprit for that, and disrupting that would potentially cause the most disruption to the hostilities.

[Triton Augustus]

Triton hardened his scales lest he be attacked, lept forth, and struck the beast's limb with his gauntlets of lightning!

ABSO Gloves (+1 to each stat) - These gloves generate electrical currents. When punching, do energy in electrical damage for up to three posts. Flipping a switch at the wrist increases the hardness of the gloves, allowing for easier blocking! Stack energy onto defense for up to three posts when blocking with hands. Must choose one at start of thread.]

[Thorn Wyatt]

Donovan’s sword cuts through the vat, spilling acid across the floor. It’s swiftly spreading towards both the middle of the room where the creature is and the entrance.

Stigma’s sword digs into the creature’s head, penetrating straight to the hilt, while Ali’s blades cut the sides of the creature. It begins to deflate, and a green mist seeps out of its wounds, rather than blood as might be expected. Triton’s gauntlet slams into the creature’s extended arm, striking the smallest part and cutting in it half. Green blood drips from its severed limb.

Player One finds that there’s acid beginning to cut them off from the hatch door blocking the way out, but there’s about ten seconds before the acid completely cuts off the path.

Preston and Sean find the signal itself is not powered from this console, making it impossible to completely cut it off. However, the contents of the signal, as well as the biometrics of the men inside the pods, are controlled from this console, leading to either the blue or red button. With the further inspection of the console over the past few minutes, Preston and Sean can confidently tell that the blue button is a sort of Default mode, while the red button activates a killswitch.

[Preston Salabim]

Preston would use the blue button, not wanting to terminate what was going on without further study if he could help it. Hopefully restoring things to default will stop the worst of the chaos going on. As the vat was spilled however Preston would hold up two fingers, placing them in front of him as he channeled his internal mana, converting his essence to wind.

"Wuroz". He'd whisper, letting his breath trail off with the final syllable of the word, a wind picking up to lift him and his allies off of the ground as wings made of wind sprouted behind each of them.

Qi use 1/30

Level 4 -Wind's Wings- Wind Element - Support Archetype - Preston is able to create wings of wind on him and his allies granting them all a +8 to their speed stat as they begin to levitate off of the ground. This also grants some resistance to Earth and Lightning based attacks.

[Donovan]

Donovan winced when he saw his plan flop completely before his eyes. However, the next thing that happened was a pair of wings appeared on his back allowing him to float up away from the acid.

"NICE!"

He didn't know he had the ability to fly! Sweet! With his new found power Donovan would attempt to fly as fast (and as best) as he could to try and ram the creature into the acid on the floor!

Zero Ability/First Gift (Upgraded): When Donovan takes damage that causes him to bleed a black mist flows around his body and his muscles become more refined and he has an increase in strength and Defense (and rage) +20 Atk +12 Def

Awakened Knowledge - Once per thread Donovan can check into the knowledge of Qi he has awakened enhancing a singular Qi ability by 25%.
