[Sessha]

Sessha crossed the yard towards the Academy, her bright eyes taking in her surroundings.

Funny, she thought it would have felt far more exciting and new...and yet it almost felt like she already knew where she was. Not like home, but as though she had come through here once in the past. It was impossible of course, she'd never left her territory until now. Still, it was a strange feeling.

Without realizing, she had stopped walking altogether, staring at the building silently and motionlessly. Like in a daze.

[Pride]

And Pride was staring at her head tilted. Horns, but he didn't recognize her. And it was unusual to see someone walking around with their monster form showing outside of a fight.

"Yooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

He'd call out to Sessha waving.

"Where you from?"

And he'd start jogging over to join her!

[Sessha]

Sessha would snap out of her daze, not quite jumping, but she gave her head a slight shake.

She would turn to look at who was calling out, flattered to see he was calling out to her specifically!

"Haua!" she'd smile and wave back!

"I am from the Mountain of Gods! It nice to meet! I am Sessha!"

[Pride]

"Mountain of Gods? Wheres that?"

He'd never heard of that, but he was interested.

"I'm Pride, and Nekronaro. Do you know the name of yours? Or are you guys not friends?"

[Sessha]

Sessha would lean to the side like she was trying to find the second person he introduced.

Then she'd walk all the way around him in confusion.

"It is 241! It is helpful?"

She wasn't sure if the number would clear it up much more. But more importantly.

"Mine? Is friends? It is hard to understand. I am sorry?"

[Pride]

He shook his head. He didn't know a lot of the territory numbers. It was a weird system.

"Nope, never heard of it. But Gods, that's pretty cool. That means you are a God?"

She wasn't sure what he was talking about with the monster form though. That made sense he supposed. Different culture. She might not know what it was.

"Your horn and scales. Your Monster, mine is Nekronaro, it's okay if you don't know the name of yours though. Most people don't."

[Sessha]

Sessha would shake her head.

"Not YET. It is choice that take hard test. I have no made choice. Very hard!"

A problem for the future Sessha. She knew how important it was to many of her friends, but she always felt a slight disconnect with it, herself.

Monsters on the other hand were WAY more interesting!

"Oh. So I am not monster? There is monster that do this?" she'd point to her horns.

[Pride]

"Bummer, I was gonna say. I've never fought a God before. Could be fun."

He grinned.

"I mean, isn't there? Ever feel a voice or presence inside of you? Talking to you, wanting you to do stuff? Probably with you your whole life? At least mine and Joy's was. And if you let them, they will let themselves out through you."

His skin started to harden as it turned white like alabaster or porcelain. Unnaturally smooth and hard.

Sessha would match his enthusiasm with a smiling and nodding at the idea of fighting a God! It WAS a fun idea! She was always told she wasn't ready but that could change pretty soon!

The girl would give out something of a thrilled shriek as Pride's skin changed, doing a strange motion with her hands like she wanted to touch it, but also figuring it wasn't polite to just touch people without their permission. But he didn't seem like the kind to mind. But that doesn't give you permission to do it anyway.

"I see! I see! I am not knowing about voice? But many times there are things I am knowing without the teaching? I also speak words that no one teach? It is monster?"

She'd knock on her own head.

"Hello? Hello? You do not speak?"

She only got silence.

[Pride]

"Maybe? Mine doesn't behave that way. But they are all kind of different. The one my Sister has is a real asshole apparently. I made friends with mine. Most people are not as friendly with theirs as I am with mine too. So it's possible."

He didn't know though, he'd never heard of strange languages. But there were only a couple of Monster users alive at a time. So he didn't have a really great understanding on how it worked or anything.

"You can try unleashing more of it? Can you make yourself more monstrous? Or maybe less? Why are you walking around that way without being in a fight anyway? Isn't it exhausting?"

He was both surprised and jealous. He'd also lean in really close to look at her scaley bits. Personal space wasn't a big thing for him.

While considerate of other people's space, she didn't give much thought to others invading hers, allowing Pride to observe as closely as he wanted. Sessha just tried to stay still as a courtesy.

"Hmm. I am like this all times. It not go away. Never ever."

Speaking of jealousy, Sessha felt a touch of envy that he could speak to his AND be friends. And that even his sister could at least communicate with hers. Was she just blind to it because she'd been like this for as long as she knew? Maybe she was lacking a certain sensitivity, now?

"There is no tire. It is just being like fingers and toes."

[Pride]

"What about if you are hurt or angry or scared? Does it spread?"

So weird! SO FREAKING COOL. It was taking everything he had to not grab one of her horns and just start yanking on her head.

Sessha would just start laughing.

"Hmm, do not feel these things!"

Well the latter two she doesn't feel strongly, at least. That could change with the right kind of situation, but until then, very little fear or anger. Was that maybe her problem?

"When hurt or very excite, sometimes I am doing the melting gas without meaning."

She gives his arm a little poke with her finger. She couldn't help it.

[Pride]

His arm was super smooth. It felt glossy like finished pottery but dense like stone. He took it as permission to touch her back though and would tug on her horn a little.

"You don't feel angry or scared? Ever!?"

That had to be the problem. Totally.

"You can do a melting gas though? So what does that feel like?"

She was surprised to find it felt both fragile and really tough at the same time. She was willing to bet it wouldn't break easily at all, though.

The little yank made her head tilt in the direction he pulled, and Sessha could only give a shrug at his incredulous questions. Maybe her parents had been too easy going so she picked up on it. Maybe her privileged life kept her from those feelings. Maybe BOTH! Either way she was starting to feel like maybe she was missing out.

"The feeling for Sessha is like big cough and then the relief feeling. For others it is very burn."
