"We have no use for weak soldiers." Stigma would frown.

"They were easily dispatched and killed, and the cost was the lives of people who may have had far more potential if trained."

[Thorn Wyatt]

"I can, of course, improve them. They weren't designed to defeat, only delay. And even so, every loss they suffered was easily replaced, whereas those that were killed by them weren't so easily replaced in turn."

W doesn't sounded offended by Stigma's analysis, but rather, proud.

Elias glances at Stigma, then at Rose, for once considering more than just his own opinion.

Stigma would look at her dad and shake her head. She didn't trust him AT ALL. Especially since she had no idea what he was implying about her family being his works. Diluted or not, she could understand if she and Thorn were a by-product of something if it came from one parent. How was it that BOTH her parents were something like that?

Rose would stand from her throne, walking towards her family so she doesn't have to raise her voice when speaking. She would gently pull her daughter into her in a side hug, but keep her eyes on W.

"What exactly would it take to make them?"

Stigma would look at her mother incredulously.

Elias frowns a bit when Stigma shakes her head, but still doesn't say anything.

"Space to work, and time to grow."

W gives a bit of a bow to Rose as well, showing respect.

"The raw materials are born from Qi crystals, which also power the machines which grow them. The very basic arms I provided them before allowed me to create them so quickly, but higher quality creations, in turn, will take longer to produce."

Thorn is completely lost, and just stands there like a lump.

"So, are you saying you won't need to sacrifice more people to make them?" Rose would ask, which was more so what she'd been looking to find out initially.

[Thorn Wyatt]

"...I never needed to sacrifice people to make them. Oh dear."

W looks sheepish.

"I was collecting genetic samples from various parts of the continent in order to see how certain bloodlines may have evolved or been extinguished."

[Stigma Wyatt]

Rose would pat Stigma on the head, as if that just solved all of the problems she assumed her daughter had.

"Then I don't see an issue here." Rose would say, looking at her husband.

Stigma wouldn't say anything. She didn't like that their people's lives were an even trade for her father gaining a new power but...she also wasn't the one in charge here.

[Thorn Wyatt]

Elias nods.

“Then you stay. As long as you remain useful, you will have our protection. The moment you become a burden, however, I’ll kill you until you stay dead.”

W nods, apparently fully expecting this.

“Very well. I’ll begin preparations to bring my equipment here presently.”

He presses a spot on his forearm, then turns.

“May I go inspect the grounds?”

“Ryder will go with you.”

Ryder nods, then escorts W out of the throne room.

Stigma watches them go before pulling away from her mother so she can look at both of her parents again.

"Just like that? We don't even know what he meant about us. Or anything about him for that matter..."

[Thorn Wyatt]

"He wasn't going to tell us right away."

Elias shrugs, watching where the man had left from.

"But as long as he's here, we can find out. There's no point in throwing out a potential resource if we can use it."

[Stigma Wyatt]

Stigma frowns behind her mask, but, trusts in her father's decision. Even if it makes her uneasy.

"Is someone always going to be with him?"

[Thorn Wyatt]

Elias glances at her out of the corner of his eye, looking amused.

"I assume you're not volunteering?"

[Stigma Wyatt]

She glances down.

"If you would rather I do that than attend Cabal, I will."

[Thorn Wyatt]

"What do you prefer?"

Thorn asks, causing his father to frown at the interruption.

[Stigma Wyatt]

She looks at her brother in surprise.

"I...don't know. I'm worried about Gaia. But I don't want to abandon what we were doing."
