Up in smoke (Invite)

[Lucifer]

The strange vehicle was unlike anything ever seen.  There were no tires upon it, and it would float above the ground, hovering a few feet above it.  Able to travel quickly and smoothly over any terrain.  Or at least it did when it was working.  The vehicle was now on the ground, a small house cat perched on it's roof as the well dressed woman  peered under the hood.  The two big strong men with her were giving her, and the strange vehicle a wide berth while they set themselves to work looking menacing. 

[Kaia Galanos]

Kaia would stop in her tracks as she'd spot a...thing. And a woman working on it.

It must have been something of value since there were two big guys guarding it. Whatever it was. It looked kinda...alien, to be honest.

"Huh. What is that?" she'd murmur.

[Lucifer]

The woman continued to fiddle under the hood. Stopping only to hike her dress up to almost halfway up her calf as she leaned into the machine deeper. The men just glared at Kaia, super menacing like. The cat, however, would stretch itself and hop off the car, trotting over to Kaia with a purr, rubbing against her legs. She would find the sphinx cat had something on its forehead that allowed two large lenses to stay over its eyes like spectacles.

Kaia thought about nudging the cat away with her foot, but, the spectacles caught her eye.

She'd squat down to pat it, since it was being nice, before looking up at the guards and sticking her tongue out at them.

She could take 'em.

"You're an interesting bunch." she'd note to the feline.

[Lucifer]

The cat looked up at her and meowed.

Meanwhile, the lady would straighten up from the vehicle, brushing her hands together and shaking her head.

"Well, so much for the might of Zeus. All-flash and no bang. Guess now we know why Hera is always frowning, aye boys? We are just going to have to sit here for a little bit and wait for his glory to finish fading away before I get us up and moving."

Turning around is when she would see Kaia, and her precious cat.

"Oh, well hello there. I'm terribly sorry, but our vehicle isn't going to be able to move for a little bit, I 'm sure you understand."

[Kaia Galanos]

Alright, the cat was cute. Fine.

She'd glance up at the lady as she started talking, doing her best to follow all the comments and jabs as she narrowed her eyes. So much so she didn't even catch the part where the vehicle was either some sort of ride somewhere or an attraction.

"Were you talking about Zeus' boner?" she'd blink, trying to get down to the real stuff. Obviously.

[Lucifer]

"Oh heavens no! Zeus is not nearly as clever as he'd need to be to get that far. But we did strike a deal where he imparted several crystals infused with his might. Though his performance has left... something to be desired."

She'd say with a small smirk.

The cat would start to nuzzle Kaia's legs purring aggressively.

"Why, Mr. Snugglepants has taken quite a liking to you. Be honest, have you smuggled catnip on your person? Normally he is quite content to lounge around unless someone remarkable has caught his interest."

She asked with an amused smile, placing her fists on her cocked hips.

[Kaia Galanos]

"Oh."

Ohhhhh. Not that she'd ever be shocked at Zeus dick being a topic but...yeah. The comparisons were not lost on her.

"I'd say remarkable would be the proper reasoning." Kaia would smile, standing up despite the fact it'd stop her from petting Mr...uh...Snugglepants. A fitting name if that rubbing meant anything.

"What exactly is that?" she'd point to the vehicle. "I've never seen anything like it."

[Lucifer]

She giggled as Kaia motioned to her vehicle.

"No, I don't suppose you have. This is just a little project I have been working on in my free time. My mind wanders when I get bored, and so many men are so dull and listless. I can only have the same conversation so many times before I can't be bothered to even pretend to care anymore."

She stroked her vehicle gently with the back of her hand.

"And so I came up with the design of this beauty. A vehicle that can travel quickly over any and all obstacles and terrain. The final hurdle I have is a proper energy source. I had hoped the proclaimed King of Gods would be able to provide, but the spark just wasn't there."

The lady would lower the hood of the vehicle before sitting down on it, giving Kaia an appraising, weighing look.

[Kaia Galanos]

Kaia's brow would furrow briefly at the look, but would leave it be for now.Instead she would start to approach, wanting to get a closer look at the thing, even if she had no idea how any of it worked.

"That's all it needs, now? A power source?" she'd ask.

[Lucifer]

"Well yes and no. Right now it needs to finish discharging his faulty power. Then I can get it up and running. However, if this is to be of use to anyone besides myself I will need to find a separate power source."

When she approached the men would close ranks, moving to stop her, but the lady just held out a hand.

"She is fine gentlemen. There is no need to get rough, she isn't an enemy. Isn't that right Madam."

[Kaia Galanos]

She narrows her eyes at the two big guys.

"Not unless they try to touch me."

[Lucifer]

The lady would giggle as the men went back to their posts.

"Oh don't worry about that. They are as harmless as kittens. Aren't you dears."

Mr. Snugglepants would leap up onto the hood of the car, letting out a single meow in what could be taken as agreement. Mocking or otherwise.

"So what brings a lady such as yourself out this way, alone with no vehicle or even a beast of burden to carry you?"

[Kaia Galanos]

"I'm not really accustomed to using steeds or vehicles when going around places." she'd admit. Her trip from the mountain down to Cabal had been a...nauseating experience.

Either way. Riding around just seemed kinda lazy.

"I was just getting to know this area to clear my head. It's really different than my home. What about you? I only know two places where weird tech like that would probably be. So you're either from there or actually a thief."

A smart one taking credit for that hovercar. But hey, if she knew how to fix it, she deserved the thing either way.

[Lucifer]

"Oh I see."

An amused sparkle lit up her eyes.

"I have been called many things before, but a thief. That is a new one. Tell me, Darling, where do you think I am from then."
