[Lucifer]

The man chuckled and motioned for him to take what he wished.

"As you wish. I still have my faith."

[Xapham]

Oh yay. A religious man... Xapham sighed and looked at the mans wares reaching out to grab an ornate necklace only to hesitate for a moment. He rolled his eyes and instead grabbed the small wooden cross he saw half hidden on a shelf. Placing the Pearl in the mans hand.

[Lucifer]

The old man would take the pearl in between his finger and thumb, and without so much as looking at it, he would crush it!

[Xapham]

Xapham's eyes went wide! And he would reach for the blade in his jacket.

"You had better explain yourself quickly before I send your soul to whatever fate should befall you in the after life!"

Xapham hissed.

[Lucifer]

"Bah, it was worthless. Costume jewelry. We both know you don't care about the pearl. And you can keep the cross. Consider it your freebie."

[Xapham]

Xapham relaxed. But only a little.

"Costume Jewelry or not, I needed it order to find an assassin."

But logic quickly caught up to him, and he sighed.

"But, if it was costume Jewelry then the man either didn't buy it here, or he was swindled, and in either case it is unlikely I will find my answers here."

Xapham gripped the bridge of his nose with his fingers trying to quell the headache he had brewing.

"I don't suppose you might have any information from that fake to help me?"

[Lucifer]

"Information is something I have been known to dabble in. What is it that you really want to know?"

He leaned in, the lenses over his eye sockets rapidly shifting up and down with different filters.

"Don't be shy."

[Xapham]

"I want to know who assassinated the Crow, and where they are located."

Xapham would say bluntly crossing his arms. Now, for the cryptic old man to say something that doesn't make sense that I will subconsciously look to make connections with until I find something and he can sit back and say it was divine wisdom when it is all just a sham. He had known too many of these, self-proclaimed, "Prophet's" this one would be no different.

[Lucifer]

"Your Assassin's name is Rich Bennet. And he is currently in Zekunft."

The lenses all stopped, fixed on him while the man continued to smile at Xapham.

"It was a good question to ask, but a poor idea to not negotiate a price beforehand."

[Xapham]

Xapham raised an eyebrow. Wait...

"Price?"

[Lucifer]

The man just continued to smile. All of the lenses motionless. Frozen.

[Xapham]

Xapham pinched the bridge of his nose again, sighing. This. This is exactly why he didn't want to come here.

"Frankly, I have no guarantee that any of your information is correct. And I'm not about to be swindled by an old man who just said a name that he could've made up in a territory that is large enough to search for days, weeks even, and turn up nothing. Which will give you plenty of time time to escape any repercussions."

[Lucifer]

"Believe what you wish. I gave you a true answer, and my price has been paid."

[Xapham]

"What price?"

Xapham asked confused.

[Lucifer]

"Nothing that you need to worry about. It won't be missed."
