Sectos would hold out a hand and summon his Jack Fiend slowly, letting Preston see the way it's formed.
"This is an equation of elements with orders imprinted in the spell to give it seeming independence. It has it's own attack it can do and can be separate from myself for some distance. If you haven't noticed by now he has taken part of my total energy which is my ability to cast fire magic, he has taken my attunement entirely. However I can't make his summoning any more complex with more spells than his basic fireball with my current level of skill, so I'm attempting to cast wind magic into his fireballs to increase their size, potency, or change their speed. Maybe all of the above. I'm trying to find the medium between barely noticeable and not worth using to not turning everything in a five hundred foot radius into ash."
Jack Fiend Physiology - Sectos can create a magic circle which passes over him creating a singed and tattered cloak a pointed hat and a jack-o-lantern which allows him to use Fire magic that adds 1/2 his energy to his energy. Or he can summon a Jack Fire Fiend which can shoot fire balls at targets and move on it's own to fight even talk in broken insults and jeers with the damage output of the users energy plus his energy in damage. Summoning the Jack Fiend causes the user to stand in one place and maintain the concentration.
