The heavy breathing in the background of the room was a tad bit unnerving to the young warrior,of course he'd been in tougher scrapes against those with guns and weapons that would easily end his life, this one however was just a cretinous group of gas sacks. Jaus grinned thankful for that. Dirty work tended to be his better traits, he'd be quick with them. Tied to the chair he had very little chance of any attempts of an escape. However he was resourceful as a warrior.
*Snap*
The fading grin shifted flipping out of the chair as flesh split across the room all happening in a flash, the bulb breaking and JAus walkig out of the burning house with but a scar beneath his cheek. The Satyrans wouldn't get away in this town, the templar had control here. And Jaus was their strongest warrior, aside from Gabriel of course.
Appearing downtown at his center of business, a rundown boxing arena JAus appeared with but a scratch at his cheeck and sweaty worn don cloths, of course he had a bit of a perilous day ahead of him, training was a must. He'd go a few bouts on a punching bag perhaps find his own little punching bag to test on.
Grinning he'd get to work not bothering to change into his trainign gear, he preffered all natural, getting caught in the action would prove more convinient concerning the changes.

Matrim was checking out some of the local dives, looking for another place like the one that Masters had ran, perhaps someplace a little more legit though, not as much into the betting as the fighting. Also he was always on the prowl for places to train others and himself, so he found a pretty promising place downtown, a boxing place that while in rough shape definitely held some promise to what Matrim was looking for.
Walking into the place as if there was nothing to it, he looked over to see a kid working on a punching bag, and since he was the first person he spotted, he called over and said, "Yo, you know where I could find the owner of this place?" Matrim said, walking up, if the kid kept working at the bag Matrim would hold onto it for him to give it stability.

Jaus was hard at "work" or so it would be called by the others here but of course the actual maintenance people weren't about, their lazy asses were probably lurking about in Gabriel's stead. All the while Jaus trained to be better at some point than his predecessor. Hopefully someday.
"Yo, you know where I could find the owner of this place?"
Jaus' attention turned upward recognizing the familiar figure for an instant. Odd yes that he'd find the ex-ex-ex- Captain of Point Hope here. Certainly odd how people managed to keep appearing from the past.
"Nope he's out at the moment, but what can I do in his stead? Matrim..." Jaus managed easily.
It'd been awhile since he'd seen the fellow thinking back to the last time he'd seen the guy, either back in the snowfields in the paint ball war or maybe Keira's Pillar training regardless it'd been some time.

"Nope he's out at the moment, but what can I do in his stead? Matrim..." The guy had said, and Matrim looked over at the guy, and looked around, not really recognizing who he was. Maybe there was something but... it felt like... hmmm... he'd think of it later he knew he would, but he couldn't tell where he must have known this guy from. Oh well.
"Looking for places to train, fights and such," Matrim said, "Don't suppose there are any strong fighters in here worth challenging?" He asked, holding onto the bag with one hand, since it'd probably be enough to hold the bag if the kid kept working at it. "I've got a couple people I'm taking up as students and I'm on the lookout for places that I could use, the cost doesn't matter if there's a membership fee or anything like that."
He looked at the bag and said, "Where do I know you from?"

"Point Hope..." Jaus stated simply indifferent to whether he remembered or not, unfortunately he'd been gifted with a near photographic memory.
"Hmm if you're looking for a challenge I'd stake your chances against my own, been looking for a bit of hard work for awhile." Jaus stated fearlessly.
Little did he know how much Matrim had grown since the time they split ways. And here he was feeling proud that he'd matched that level. Pressing aside the punching bag Jaus moved a few battered bags out of the way should Matrim end up taking the challenge after all.

"Point Hope..." Matrim too, photographic memory, but sadly anything before his detox had been blurred. Events of the past aside from generals were pretty skewed. "Hmm if you're looking for a challenge I'd stake your chances against my own, been looking for a bit of hard work for awhile."
"Sounds like a plan," Matrim said. Trying to remember.... and got a flash of it, "Sniper rifle. You had the sniper rifle, Jaus. Sorry I uhh, I took up drinking for awhile and when I tried to quit things got a little blurred when it comes to Point Hope. Don't know how long you've been in town but I'm sure I don't have to explain how easy it is to take a few hits to the head around here in addition to all of that."
As Jaus cleared the area he would walk over and stretch his arms having remembered the guy, this was interesting, it was a fight that he was both unsure about, and had to think. He had to study his opponent, know his opponent, and given that he didn't have much memory of him other than a few occasions, and the time difference from then till now, he would definitely be at a disadvantage. Luckily, so would the boy. Either way, this would definitely be fun.
Getting into a defensive stance, dropping his right foot back, hands in claws, right hand at his hip, and left hand forward, he would wait for his opponent. He wanted to fight more like he used to at Point Hope to some extent, but the fact was that he wasn't the person he had been then. The change in Qi was proof of that. "Whenever you're ready." He'd say, giving him the chance to initiate combat, but if he waited long enough, Matrim would take the offensive first.

Jaus nodded clearly remembering the weapon he'd used, yes that was quite a fun class however it was fairly unfortunate that #259 didn't have that sort of budget nor landscape to pull off majorly large battles of paint ball invasions over night, would certainly get some attention.
"Alright."
Jaus would be the one to start this though he didn't suspect he'd be getting to far with the coat on, having had two fights already here, he was no match for the faster foes however he would try his luck at it for a short while before the time called for his true abilities to be revealed.
Charging at a relatively slow pace in comparison but by no means average Jaus would streak across the minimalized battlefield his left fist extended out aiming for a short jab to the upper torso while following that up would be a right hook to Matrim's face should it be unguarded.

"Alright." The kid said before starting things off. His speed was unimpressive, in fact he wondered if the kid was a smoke or something the way he moved, and as he shot off his left punch, Matrim took it, barely feeling a thing as he threw a right hook into Matrim's face, again he didn't feel anything from it, and felt rather disappointed at the fact that he felt like he was fighting a young girl. Maybe something was draining this kid or something....
"What's holding you back?" Matrim asked in his ignorance, he didn't know if this kid was weighted down, if this kid was going as hard as he could, it just didn't feel like that considering he was one of the ones from Point Hope, he should be stronger by all means. So he would with all of his speed kick upward in a diagonal direction with his right leg, aiming to snap his foot out against the center of the torso as he did so, extending the foot pretty far up before bringing it back down in front of him so that his right foot was now leading having pivoted on his left foot.

Jaus took the kick on gruffly stumbling back as though he were in a daze, it was extremely powerful, he didn't quite remember anyone ever being that strong back at Point Hope, in fact oddly enough Jaus had been one of the stronger few. He shuddered there for a quick moment recollecting himself clumsily before being able to properly speak.
"Doing a bit of weight training..." He'd say easily before peeling off the coat which when removed fell to the ground with a rough bang.
"Seems wearing it against you would only massacre me." He shrugged before charging once more performing the same attack this time with a hint of more power in his assault.

"Seems wearing it against you would only massacre me." And the boy came at him again, but this time Matrim would be taking the first hit alone, the left fist hitting pretty high up on the chest, and as the right came in for a hook, Matrim pulled his torso back to let the blow go right by his face, his right fist would aim to slam at Jaus' exposed right side, just a quick jab before kicking him on the ass with his left foot to make his momentum continue forward.
The idea wasn't to knock him forward, mostly just to make him stumble forward. Matrim quickly learned this fight was rather one sided from the looks of it, though he wasn't a native to Point Hope power, this kid must have a Qi, it was one of the only schools he had been to besides 650 that literally had it in it's curriculum, "Use Qi," He said, "If you're capable of using it you should, I can take it."
Matrim's fists would be up now as opposed to his older stance he'd adopt more of a boxing once since that seemed to be this kids style, sticking with a punches and throwing the same combo. He expected some more striking moves from this kid of some sort, waiting for the kid to come at him once again by staying where he was. Matrim's philosophy had always been if they are stronger go in be offensive, if they aren't showing equal strength hang back, let them come to you. After all he wasn't out to hurt this kid, so he didn't want to be overly aggressive.
He's definitely better with those off, hits hurt a hell of a lot more, and his speed is far greater.....

(ooc: Sorry for the delay, was waiting on approval...then I realized I didn't actually want to use it yet....*head desks*)
Jaus stared sternly at him, the guy was nice enough not degrading as the rest of his fights had been he considered him to be a fair opponent well versed in a warriors code of conduct. And if Jaus didn't pull it all out here he suspected a short end, or at least it's what he'd hoped for in the end, to save the humiliation. Of course his pride was what drove him above all else.
"AHHHHH!!!!!" (ooc: cue constipation moment)
Jaus felt his power level rising, the sudden surge of force in his muscles as he bellowed tirelessly. Only to come up on the other end a bit tired from the exchange, he hadn't reached that level yet, there was something that needed to press him over. But he could still manage some swift tactics.
Charging forward Jaus' Qi would work as an electrical manifestation around his right fist as best he could manage considering this wasn't a full out power up. With the fist he'd sprint forward and jab for Matrim in the face.

Matrim sidestepped the attack on the outside of the jab so that he was facing the outstretched arm. The hand closest to the wrist would grab it while his free hand would palm straight at the outside of the elbow in order to bend it the opposite way in a matter that might possible cause the arm to break. It was the same way Matrim himself had is arms broken by Amtrum.
"You really have some work to do kid," Matrim would say, stepping away after the attack, "You need to get stronger to survive her, a lot of sharks around here. Things here are a lot tougher than Point Hope. "If your arms seriously hurt you should go to the hospital." If it wasn't Matrim would raise his fists, "And most importantly, develop your Qi a bit more if that's what that was."
Matrim would wait for the kids reply before taking any action. He wasn't actively trying to hurt him but if he kept coming Matrim would keep fighting. He held his Qi back as he did with most opponents unless it was deemed necessary or completely wanted, but with this one he just wanted to give him a taste of the world he was now in. And if his Qi was that under developed than he should probably go back to training with Lunari for a bit.

"Gahhh..."
Jaus fell forward catching his inverted limb feeling it in splintering pain. It ached beyond belief at this moment and was without a doubt surely broken. He breathed labored breaths trying to control himself. The power of his Qi reverting, yes he was done for today, perhaps he'd try again after he was healed yet for now he was in no shape to compete even if this was a losing battle he didn't consider himself out of the fight. There was always a pleasure in fighting those stronger than you, if not to win than there was defiantly the thrill of the fight, the challenge of surpassing your old qualities and learning a thing or two here.
"Ha... Thanks...I'll be sure to keep that in mind, thanks for the refresher course."
Jaus said still breathing with difficulty as he held his limp right arm in his grasp totting it uselessly as the rest of his body carried onward to the hospital. It wouldn't be much of a problem, cast for a few weeks sure.
