It was incredibly rare to see Mitsukai shopping at all. It usually was not something she liked to do, the only time she ever went was when she needed to buy food for her pet cat or when she HAD to buy new clothes. This time however was different. This time she was not looking for basic necessities what she was looking for was a book...well a couple of books really.
She had stumbled upon this bookstore a few weeks ago during one of her runs and never had the chance to check it out. Mitsukai thought now was a good time to see what they had, she had read most of the books she found interesting in both the public and school library and was running out of things to read. She had even brought out a little list of novels by her favorite authors that she couldn't find anywhere else. She was bound to find something this time.
Feline eyes scanned through the shelves, looking out for anything that caught her interest. So far she found quite a few things on her list that at least was good. There was only one author missing now, maybe she was somewhere down on the bottom shelves.
Crouching down for a better view she started skimming through the titles below. Hoping that she might find something from the last person of her list, her mind completely absorbed in it's task.

OOC Note: This is the second/third draft, due to how the PS3 tends to work. XD Hopefully it'll be better for it."...I Wrinkled The Page." Malls are wondrous places. They can literally draw people in with their energy for shopping, looking, hanging out, eating, flirting, socializing, and for some just walking. In other words, its not unheard of a person going to go to the mall for the mall's sake, for the hope of curing personal boredom. Coincedentally, that's where our German steps in. At first glance, there was no immediate reason, no plot, no why as to how come "Unfettered" had come to the mall, hence the aforementioned potential situation of the "why." And that's where things usually got interesting, as typically, no book was worth buying simply for the sake of its cover, but rather the contents within the novel that could twist in unexpected ways.
Adorned in a simple white t-shirt, blue jeans, some black sneakers, and a watch, his typical swatstika eye patch was replaced with a simple black one so as to not scare away the average public. The eye patch as well was also hidden beneath a tuft of his long white hair that incidentally gave him a slightly emo look---though whenever his head swayed in sharp directions, a glimpse of the eye patch might be seen. Truth be told, it truly looked as if he was prepared for nothing---he had not been carrying or wearing any of his items from around, as of late, but he did still walk with a slight limp that was far more painful then the limp suggested---or perhaps not. At any rate, it is uncertain as to purpose the German chose to suddenly walk into that store at that moment, at that time, but he stared at her for a moment, from a distance, and looked away as were the habit of the typical guy---only to notice from the corner security mirror that she still hadn't looked back at him, unless she sneaked one at him very briefly.
Yes, he was checking her out.
...He was also possibly still trying to overcome his newfound irrational fear of women after his incident with "her" just prior to his discovery of the impending departure of the other "her."
Confusing things, women. "Unfettered" couldn't allow himself to become a misgyonist, though, due to his other "roommates" back at the home base. Hence, while it may have appeared to be juvenile and purely with malcontent reasoning, the German slowly made his way to walk up beside the girl---and then crouch next to her with his hands on his knees, facing the lowest part of the bookshelf (which admittedly pained his right knee to do with such suddenness, but nothing showed on his face). Staring at the books with a seeming amount of as much absorption of interest---except without knowing what he, or more importantly, she was looking for."Lots of books, ja?" he'd note simply of the girl carrying the books while she continued looking.OOC Note: Sorry. Lately there's been a lot of run-on sentences and more grammatical errors then usual. I look forward to the continuation of this thread, though!

"Lots of books, ja?"
The sound of a man's voice broke her out of her concentration. The sudden intrusion had almost made her jump, she usually had a good sense for what was going on around her. The fact that she had not even sensed this man's prescene was rather quite surprising.
On second thought it might not be THAT surprising, she had a bad habit recently of getting to absorbed in the things she was interested in at that moment that passion was novels. Anyone could have sneaked up on her right now and she probably wouldn't notice anyway.
The question remained though of why he had approached her in the first place. She certainly didn't know the guy, though there was a chance he might know who she was. Though she normally was quiet and kept to herself she was one of the pillars, either ways she grabbed attention no matter what she did. It was not out of the realm of possiblity though the chances were this was not the case.
Mitsukai studied him carefully for a moment seeing if there was anyway she could figure out his motives for conversing with her from his body language.
Like most of the people she had ever encountered he was much taller then her, well over a feet in height. Long white hair concealing most of his face from her at the moment from his current position. From the heavy accent it she guessed he was german.
".....yeah." she said turning back to the the shelves. For the moment it didn't seem like he was looking for a fight. Perhaps he was just trying to be friendly. It might be rare but on a few occasions Mitsukai had been approached by those type of 'friendly' type of people. The kind that could never leave those that rather be left alone without trying to be friend them simply out of pity.
If that was the case it wouldn't take too long for him to lose interest and go away. She had never been the talkative type so it would be a challenge to keep up a conversation. It was only a matter of time till he left. They always did.

OOC: SEVERAL YEARS LATER! Sorry if its a bit short, but it should get progressively longer over time. Also, at friend's house to do this.Observations Of The Smiling Kind ".....yeah." Reserved, he noted, with a curious grin at her and the upward lift of his brow. But that wasn't saying much, considering his initial first impression of himself for her.---That's when he paused, eying her very strangely, or more particularly... his eye was going down to her arm. To anyone else, it might have looked like he was checking her out, and that wasn't altogether untrue.
She didn't jump and her response wasn't overly feminine. Already two signs of connection that alerted "Unfettered's" sneaking suspicion. His hand would reach towards her arm, subconsciously, before he stopped himself.
If she didn't notice and decide to prevent it, he'd poke her shoulder."Sorry, but could I see your arm?" he'd ask in genuine curiosity.

With her focus back on her previous task she did not even notice when his hand reached out towards her. The lack of focus to what was happening around her was not a good thing. If this kept up then things could turn very ugly with the wrong guy. Good thing in this case that would not happen....
"Sorry, but could I see your arm?"
Again the newcomer would break her out of her little bubble. Blinking in confusion she'd finally let his words sink in before she would look at him questionably. He wanted to see her arm? Why the hell for? there was nothing really special about it, no tattoos or scars of any kind that marred her skin. Nothing at all really special about it at all. Could this be some kind of trick?
Don't be a fool, if this guy really wanted to hurt you he'd do so long ago.
"Sure I don't see why not." she replied, holding her free arm out a bit for him to inspect to his hearts content. There was nothing wrong with him taking a look at it right?

"A Few Years At 259 & On The Run Will..." "Sure I don't see why not." A quiet smile. Nodding to her while still in his crouched position, the German took his hands to slowly touch upon her extended hand, his fingers playing at the muscles, slowly applying pressure right before releasing it just as slowly and moving his way up her arm, tilting his head and muttering to himself with his hair going more over her face---and therein her arm, which may have tickled a bit, pending on how sensitive she was.
That's when his hands would grow colder. If she had sweat at all this whole time, that sweat would turn amazingly cold, to---ice!?
If, though.
Otherwise, she'd only get a strange, cold sensation from this fellows hands, but there would be no movement towards hostility towards her.
Playing his tongue, he clicked twice, before looking up at her---just before he used his right hand to grip on her bicep and used his left hand to move up her forearm for an artificial flex---He expected to bring himself to ask her to flex for him, but the muscles that suddenly swelled within the grip of his right hand made his eye widen, before he attempted to apply a bit more "cold" pressure on it."...Curious..." his eye finally playing up to hers. Smiling again with that brow raised.
Was he sensing Qi?
No. Though it certainly wouldn't be surprising."...That's a surprising amount of muscle for a girl of your stature.~"And it wasn't even the size or how much of it that he was feeling, so much as the quality of muscle that he felt. Strong, yet fast, capable of exploding into large amounts of strength at a moment's notice...
Yes, a smile that was laced with suspicion was her greeting, as his eye didn't waver, tilting his head to the side---
Revealing the fact that he was wearing an eye-patch over his left eye. Considering her rather conservative response to him, it was probably good that the swastika eye patch wasn't the one he wore today."...By chance do you attend a Public High School around here? Particularly one enforced with corporal punishment?"...As if there were many that were not. Still, it took him this much to figure out even an estimate of how strong she was...
She was suddenly interesting. Very interesting.

She watched as the stranger began feeling up her arm for a lack of a better word. A strange cold sensation running up her arm from the touch as he was prodding the muscles as if testing for something. It was strange but she did not pull away.
Her gaze shifted back on the man's face as he continued with his task as she tried to figure out what he was doing. Why was he so interested in her arm for? Was he testing it out for something and if so for what? Her line of thought was more so on the curious side then the suspicious one. She was sure that this guy was not going to try and rip off her arm or anything like that. He could have easily just grab it and hurt her without having to ask for it. She was particularly curious about the coolness of his touch. Was this some sort of Qi or something that he was using for this?
"...Curious..." "...That's a surprising amount of muscle for a girl of your stature.~"
He met her gaze, a smile upon his lips that caused her to blink in surprise. It was not the friendly sort of smile she would expect someone to have. No it was more troubling and for a second she was worried. Was he really up to something and she just fell into some sort of trap?
Don't be an idiot, your just over reacting. she assured herself. Yeah there was nothing wrong here, it was all odd but no reason to get all panicky about.
"...By chance do you attend a Public High School around here? Particularly one enforced with corporal punishment?"
"....Yes" she replied coolly masking any hint of unease that she had moments before. "How about you?" She had already guessed that he might have been a student at 259, at first it was simply because he looked around that age group and there really were not a lot of different high schools around. But what really made that thought sink in was his reaction after his little 'inspection' there had to be more too him then met the eye. And of course there was that eye patch she had just noticed. The chances were he might have lost it during a fight in school. Not very surprising thanks to the level of violence that went on in such a place.

...More Nostalgia Of Sorts "....Yes. How about you?" He smiled, tilting his head the other way to hide his eye-patch. No, she showed no signs of being perturbed at all. Unmistakable. And while he was uncertain if it was the most violent, it did have its own degree of infamy for the types of students that it tended to breed. Ha. "Breed." Thinking about his schoolmates like some sort of reference to different types of canine."Ja," he said, after a moment, still smiling in the same position, as he looked at her."Ze infamous Public High School #259..." he noted, looking away ever so quietly, as if speaking to himself then responding (which he was), searching for something, before looking back at her, raising his brow, with a "slightly" more serious look to his face."Though, vile [while] I appreciate your cooperation, you really should inquire more, next time someone askz to inspect you. Safety, ya know, ja?"Standing up, he leaned back while putting his hands on his hips, his mouth opening to let out a silent yawn, while cracking free several bones in his body, before lunging his upper body forward a completely erect standing position. Wrapping around his right arm to his waist, he rested his left elbow onto the wrist, while scratching his chin with an amused look taking hold of his face once again, as he looked at her, a few strands of hair rushing forward to cover his eye-patch again.
Thinking again. The thinking that was going on behind the smile as he looked at her, ever so curiously."Vould you care to join me for coffee? Or anything, really."No, he did not mention his name to her. Nor did he show any inclination towards asking her for hers, though he was just as close on surface value to asking her out to a date.
...This curious girl with ever more curious cat eyes...~
"Unfettered" would wait for if she could find the final book that the girl was looking for, though. From this angle, though, she just looked so similar to... her.

"Ja," "Ze infamous Public High School #259..."
So he did go to the same school just as she thought. Not very surprising since he did ask her about it first. He'd only think to ask if he himself went to that school.
"Though, vile I appreciate your cooperation, you really should inquire more, next time someone askz to inspect you. Safety, ya know, ja?"
"I'll keep that in mind." she said, a little jokingly of course. It was kind of funny to think of herself as being too trusting of others, especially since she was not much of a people person when she first came here. Things seemed to have changed though without her noticing, perhaps she should watch herself more carefully before she ended up in a dangerous situation.
"Vould you care to join me for coffee? Or anything, really."
His next question surprised her a little, it seemed almost as random as his first request. Was it normal for some stranger to ask her to hang out with him? The only time a guy normally did that with a girl was if it was a d-
Ha, no way would THAT ever happen. she assured herself. Mitsukai was not the type of girl guys would be interested in anyway, not like that so there was no point of even thinking about it. Besides this guy was unique to say the least, he would never ask her anything like that there perhaps was a different reason behind that.
Yeah.....the look in his eye as he looked at her said he was thinking about something. That confirmed it.
"I don't know, maybe you have some secret agenda or something." she teased, he eyes going back to scanning the shelves for the last item on her list. "I'm joking....sure I'll come with you." There would be no harm in that right? All she was doing was hanging out with this guy for a little while. She had nothing else better to do and it would give her the opportunity to know another student. She had to get to know the rest of the student body better since she was a pillar, it was part of the job.
"Just give me a second and I'll be right there." It did not take her too long to find the last book, it was surprising that she managed to find it at all. Today seemed to be her lucky day.
Adding the last book in her little stack Mitsukai would make her way over to the cashier with or without the German in toe. After paying for her books she would turn to him (or walk back over to him if he didn't follow her) and introduce herself. "By the way my name is Mitsukai, who are you?"
She might as well get his name, it was easier to call him by his name rather than 'hey you.' or to refer to him as 'that guy'. She was going to spend some time with him so it didn't hurt to ask.

Enemy? Friend? Or...? "I'll keep that in mind," a statement that provoked a cautious smile from the German as he nodded at the girl's good humor."I don't know, maybe you have some secret agenda or something." More laughter from the German... More natural, genuine laughter...~"I'm joking....sure I'll come with you." Laughter, a mean of expressing one's self to something a person is afraid of, something a person doesn't understand, and many other things. A way to react to things in life. Or perhaps... Yes, he quieted himself, smiling a bit as he kept his hands in his jeans' pockets. "Very gut, very gut," though he was immediately thinking back to the fact that he was just telling her not to trust complete strangers such as himself so easily... Though, in truth, this was one of the only ways to do things, yes? To get to know people?
...Was he secretly trying to warn her not to trust him?"Just give me a second and I'll be right there." A nod, and he looked at her, watched her carry herself with her books while she moved on. It was amazing to him that such a dainty, petite girl as herself could have such wild eyes and a strong, muscular build. She reminded him of someone---a stupid thought, though, really. Steadily, with his hands still in his pockets, he began to walk parallel to her, just a ways away before walking towards her in a stride-like mannerism as her purchase was complete, keeping a very casual, hopping gait to his feet. Seemingly bouncing from hip to hip, he cocked his head forward with a curious, amused look on his face."V---" "By the way my name is Mitsukai, who are you?" ---The German froze, mid-smile, mid-sentence, mid-word, as it took his eye a moment to re-adjust. Only half a second, but it was a noticeable pause. Slowly straightening his back upward, he cocked his head the other way, staring at her, no smile on his face.
...Kind of checking her. But only for a moment.
Shaking his head, he smiled sincerely again, this time, with a tinge of nostalgia on it and a... mixed look in the miasma of his eye."...Pardon me, I could have sworn that you said your name vas Mitsuki---Nevermind," shaking his head once more, dismissively.
...Almost as if some bit of him actually wanted her to be... her, if only for a moment. To apologize. To confess. To hug. To...
Heh. Same old pathetic German, he thought to himself. Cursing himself. Smiling to himself. That completely threw him off... Damn."I vould... prefer it if you called me either 'Thrush' or as... 'Unfettered,' if you could humor me," he'd say, extending his hand out for a shake, bending his head forward, slightly.
...Trying to bring his hair in front of his head to cover the small blush he had over the imaginiative possibility that Mitsukai could be Mitsuki if only even for a moment.
If she took his hand, he'd only nod his head forward more, trying not to think on it too much, before taking a silent breath and standing himself upward more, this time with more genuine intentions."Vell zen, coffee?---Although, I hear ze red velvet muffins here are delicious (if slightly detrimental to your health...)." he'd say, sweeping his hand towards the food court."I've... admittedly a lot more to ask you then I thought I did."And if she would still accept and walk? He'd start and keep pace with her.

Mitsukai blinked in confusion to his reaction. Had she said something wrong? All she had done was introduced herself and ask for his name. I really can't converse with people properly can I? she thought to herself. God if she fucked up somehow she wouldn't know how to make up for it.
"...Pardon me, I could have sworn that you said your name vas Mitsuki---Nevermind,"
Oh....was that it? It was her name that caught him off guard. So technically it wasn't her fault. She could see why he thought for a second her name was Mitsuki. Though her name was not very common even in japan it did sound similar to 'Mitsuki', no wonder he was mistaken. She had to wonder who this Mitsuki person was and what kind of relationship she had with this man for him to react in the way that he did.
He shook his head as if dismissing the whole issue and Mitsukai too just brushed it aside. She didn't know anything about the girl he mistook her for and for now it didn't really matter. At least for now it had nothing to do with her.
"I vould... prefer it if you called me either 'Thrush' or as... 'Unfettered,' if you could humor me,"
A nickname huh? well it was a little bit of an odd request but if thats what he wanted then it wouldn't be too much trouble to go along with it. Now just to pick one to use...
"Nice to meet you Unfettered." she said, shaking his outstretched hand. She could not see the blush on his face thanks to his efforts to hide it. Even if he didn't try to hide it she probably would not figure out what he was thinking. When it came affairs of the heart Mitsukai could be quite dense. Whether it was out of simply ignorance or denial we'd never know.
"Vell zen, coffee?---Although, I hear ze red velvet muffins here are delicious (if slightly detrimental to your health...)." "I've... admittedly a lot more to ask you then I thought I did."
Questions? Well guess it wouldn't hurt her if he asked her a few things. "Yeah lets get going." She said walking along side him to their next destination. It was only then did she notice that he was walking with a slight limp. It had gone unnoticed to her before since she had only seen him crouching or standing, but now that they were both moving it was noticable.
"how did you hurt your leg?" She asked curiously. The chances were it was from some recent fight, he was a student of 259 after all but she found it better to ask than to assume.
