Zachary wanted to be away from people, so he decided to take a walk through the park late at night. He decided it would be a good time to think about his life, about what he would do with himself. The cool breeze brushed up against his face as he walked, and his eyes were closed. He still knew where he was headed, as he'd taken this walk so many times, that he'd memorized every step. His arms were in the pockets of his black jeans, and his black shirt was flapping around on his sides. His grey undershirt kept his arms warm, though.
He heard a noise behind him, so he came to a sudden halt. He turned his head around, his bangs slightly falling over his blue eyes under his black ball cap. He looked around, and saw no one. Still, he knew some one was there, so he turned all the way around. From behind him, you could see a cross shaped scar near his neck. I know someone's out here... I'm not an idiot...

La la la la~
Skipping through the night, Jenesis had managed to sneak out of the house in her pajama's - long black sweats with a pink T-shirt. No doubt, she was cold, but she hardly noticed with all the facinations she still had about this place. She was a scientific experiement, sheltered from the outside world until just recently. Why wouldn't she be facinated? Anywho, she hummed a simple song to herself as she skipped along a path she hadn't walked through before, and the stars were just brilliantly beautiful.
Then she saw a boy, ahead of her. Curious if he had snuck out as well, she skipped along the path, following him, until he turned around. She froze, and hid behind a tree for some odd, unknown reason, but when he turned all the way around, she figured she got caught, and came out of hiding, revealing herself, along with her two, rather large wings, stitched to her back.
"H-hi... Did you sneak out too?"

Zachary hadn't noticed the girl until she had appeared from behind a tree. Hearing her question, he was wondering what he should tell her, if anything. Normally, if something like this had happened, he would have ran away, but the girl with the rather large wings didn't look like an aggressive person, so he wouldn't run away from her, unless he felt like it. "Run away? No, I didn't. Besides, I wouldn't need to, anyway."
Why am I talking to this person? I should just continue my walk... but... what if I may find someone that I can actually have a good conversation with...? I'll take the chance.
"I'm Zachary. What's your name?" he asked the girl, keeping himself from staring at her. His sight drifted down on the ground, and he watched the grass move as the breeze pushed it.

"Hi, Zachary! Jenesis is pleased to meet you!"
Oh, another thing - she speaks in third person. She walked closer to him until she was only a couple feet away, and gave a light hearted, childish smile. Her blonde hair was up in two, long pigtails, her curious, big blue eyes staring up at the night sky, amazed by the stars and how bright they were over in this area. Her smile only grew as she looked over to the moon, then over at the Zachary. He seemed nice enough - he didn't make fun of her, so that was always a good thing, right? Right!
"Did you come out here to see the stars too?"

She seemed really nice to Zach, and he smiled lightly. This was the first time in a long time he'd ever said anything to anyone. "Yeah, I did. When I can't sleep, I often lay awake and count the stars. A humans life is too short to count all of them, but I want to see how many I can count." Zach was only giving part of the answer. What he didn't tell her was that he was pondering how he would get over his mother and father's death. He turned to the left slightly, and looked upward. His bangs fell downward, over his ears instead of his eyes, and his sky blue eyes seemed darker in the night.
So far, Zach had counted about five-thousand in the past two nights. He had them tallied in a black and brown drawing pad he was carrying with him. He took it out from under his left arm, and took a mechanical pencil out from his pocket. He opened his pad to a blank page, and began a sketch. Some people thought of Zach as weird, since he drew a lot of people he saw, and had seven full seventy page pads at his house. Currently, he was making a sketch of Jenesis, and the sketch had seemed to look very real. It looked like she was going to jump right off of the paper.
I wonder if I should show her or not...?

Counting the stars? Curious, she looked up in the sky while Zachary started to dry, and began to count. Soon, she lost her place, and forgot which ones she counted, and which ones she didn't. Thinking to herself for a moment, she started all over again, until she got around 70, then lost her place, again. Giving up for the time being, the blonde haired girl turned to look over at Zach to see...him drawing? Moving over to where he was, she attempted to look over his shoulder, but didn't succeed.
"What are you drawing?? Can Jenesis see?"
Yes, Jenesis is a very curious girl. Very curious, indeed.

"Err, well... If you really do want to see it, I'll show you."
Zach turned his pad over, opening it back to the page where he had drawn her, and showed it to her, holding it with his left hand. He looked down at the paper, making sure he didn't do anything wrong on the drawing, and took his mechanical pencil, and placed it back into his pocket. His arm was a little shaky, as he'd never shown anyone his drawings before, and he never knew what the person he drew thought about it.
"I hope you don't mind, but I drew you. I have a little thing for drawing people I see. What do you think about it?

"Jenesis wants to see!"
She said excitedly, a bright look in her eyes as she anticipated the moment of looking at the drawing. When he showed her the sketch, she was in awe - even in the dark, he could draw so well! She stared at the face that looked identical to her own, the wings, her body form.. So well proportioned, and well drawn, in such little time.. It was so realistic, so..perfect. Her blue eyes blinked in awe, before breaking out into a light hearted smile, and looked up to meet his own blue eyes.
"Wow..."
She whispered, then looked down at the drawing again.
"Where'd you learn how to draw like that? Jenesis thinks it's amazing...!"

"..My mom taught me how to draw like this. She was so much better than I am."
Zach felt nostalgic, thinking about all of the time he had spent with his mother. Still, he smiled, and closed his pad quietly. He was happy that he had found someone who didn't make fun of him for what he did, and how he did it. He finally found someone he could show his art to, and he was very happy.
"Thank you, by the way. You're the only one who's ever complimented me since... I came to this school."
He kept from sayingsince my mother died, since he didn't want to talk about her anymore. If he had said another word about her, it would be harder for him to forget her.

One thing she noticed was how he said his mother was so much better than him. Did something happen to his mother...? Still, not wanting to pry, she gave a big smile in an attempt to continue on the conversation.
"Your mother must be very proud of you..."
She gave a sad smile - her mother was never proud of her, nor was her father. They were always disappointed in her, because she always did the impropper things. Like her speech - talking in third person, instead of first. But, she didn't mind - it's not like they hated her guts, right?
"No, thank you, Zachary, for showing Jenesis the picture...and.. And for not making fun of Jenesis' appearance."

"I wouldn't make fun of someone, especially not something like appearance. It doesn't matter how someone looks, how they act, or talk. All that matters, is the way they truly feel about someone, or something.
Zachary smiled his biggest smile in a long time, he had liked being around Jenisis. For some reason, he felt good around her. He realized that she must be cold, and he was pretty concerned. He put his pad beneath his arm again, and put his other hand on his hip.
"You must be cold. If you want, we can go and continue this talk over at my house, or wherever you want to go."
I like this feeling... the feeling of actually being seen, noticed...

When he stated he wouldn't make fun of people because of their appearance, she knew instantly that he was one of her friends. Sure, there was the guy with the skateboard, who told her candy was only for Halloween time because she was hyper enough, and yeah, there was Hero, who saved her life, but was she really friends with them? Hm... Sure! Light smile on her face, she barely noticed that she herself was actually cold, until he mentioned it.
"Oh, um... Sure!"
At first, she wasn't sure if it was a good idea, because her sisters didn't know if she snuck out, but as long as she got home before her sisters woke up, she'd be fine.
"How far is your house??"
