Somewhere along the lines got skewed.
Jayr didn't take too long on her end, she figured even though she didn't have an essay to reply with on the subject a small blip of information was indeed better than nothing at all. Sitting back upright without the nervous stress piling down on her Jayr took a second to look back as the 'tough guy' in the back made his show for attention eying up everyone to show them who was boss. It disgusted her, whoever said that bad guys were what girls were all about had something confused. She'd bite her lip as the show went on and Alexis began collecting papers ignoring his fit.
'She's so cool.'
The subtle thought in her head about the way she dealt with him, when tough guy wanted attention she gave him the exact opposite. A cold shoulder was hard to fight.
"You?"
Jayr ignored him to slightly turning with an emphasis on cocking her shoulder to give him the sign that he'd get none of it from her, somewhat in a way trying to mirror Alexis' fortitude under the circumstances.
"You?" The tone changed somewhat as she nudged back looking over her shoulder as the boy made a physical statement of being 'bigger' than the poor boy "Adam" who inherantly hadn't spoken much since they'd met.
A loud screech from the desk as Jayr backed up edging the row to slant and probably knock the boy out of his seat if he was leaning over enough, if not that than at least throw him off a tad from his "relaxed" stance.
"Stop Picking on him," Jayr would stand up and turn adamantly a stern look on her face before looking back with an apologetic glance mouthing the words 'sorry' at Alexis trying to be the good girl but still play the role of heroine. She didn't necessarily expect a reaction, or much hoped he had one because in her head she always won and when those words were spoken the person would inevitably back down. OR so went the play by play.
She'd tense up nervously and show enough bravado to hold a stance at the very least till he sat down and left the boy alone, but her breath was lost to her. Fear again being a common motivator. The speech in front of a class to save a classmate. But regardless she'd turn back to her chair and sit, though not before Lucan.
"Wow.... I'm really excited to teach you guys...best set of students ever." The words no doubt breaking a silent note in the room assuming a fight hadn't broken out. "Alright so two of you got some right."
"One of you put down gender roles. Yes...you had to be a man. Men played women... You know how it was... Second someone put down the skill to read... that too is right...how else do you know your lines if you can't read them?"
Jayr sat nervously fidgiting between crossed legs to a wide spread legs, to sitting on her legs till they fell asleep, and that was simply with her lower body, her hands tried remaining still but they were too busy at times to groom herself plucking at her hair concerned about the weight of eyes at the back of her head wanting her by necessity, 'dead.' A sad providence that she couldn't enjoy herself being right and now had to bother with the prospect of getting stabbed with a shank.
*sigh*
The large gulp of wind as she took a strong assertive breath nuzzling down into her crossed legs normally this time finally settled and unmoving. She'd remain with her head forward calmly asserting herself that it was the right thing.
"You needed to have good diction as well.... now... as for fame... not really.. around this time was when actors began to start getting famous... before that they had bad reputations as rogues and theives... Now the others that no one got were fencing, singing, and dancing."
Jayr hardly even noticed as Alexis walked by that now she wasn't being watched over by a teacher and that still felt unnerving. She needed to do something. She'd manage a friendly smile and then turn to her right to look at the boy with the eye patch and give a friendly, "Hi." With a bit of bounce to it. What?
"Unlike this day in age.... people weren't scrutenized for being able to do all those things... they needed to have those skills..where as today....people prefer you to stick to one profession....Now... who can tell me the name of Shakespeare's company and what was the most known theatre they would preform at?"
"I have to make them suffer..."
Alright now Jayr was going to ignore that. And better yet....not answer.
