Katsuri was waltzing about the halls of this place, having recently just rejoined the college meant he had more a reason to walk about, although, the fact that he was still aimlessly walking about as if he had no care in the world was probably an issue. Since he was back in college though, it also meant that he could leech money off his family, not much, but enough that he had no need to eating herb covered slop everyday either.
Hence that suit covered man currently walking down said hall, with a fresh made panini, salami, tomato, red peppers, roast beef, pepperoni, and just a hint of jerk seasoning, his own blend, coarse black pepper, salt, onion, thyme, cinnamon, allspice, cayenne pepper, and dried jalapeno. A couple of bites were gone from the thing, but not a single piece allowed to touch that finely pressed black and white covering his body.
Earbuds were also in the same spot as always, blaring the sounds of music into his ears. Eyes seemed to be drifting, watching everyone as he passed, but at the same time he was essentially oblivious in the way of caring, his own little world of toasty goodness.. there was a good chance he would plow into someone that skipped his field of depth, but he'd probably be in the midst of a bite it that did happen.
Although, the chances of someone running into him, were not exactly astronomical. Eight foot of muscle and bone, a face that always seemed to be construed in a distinct lack of emotion, or if riddled with it, gloom, not that he was trying to convey that mind you. Then there was the suit, marking him apart from the outlandish styles or just more 'efficient' types in the usual jeans and t-shirt. No. He was odd, and because of that and his size, it was not like someone was going to run into him unless they too were extremely distracted.. probably by nummy goodness.

Take it in stride. It'd been a couple hours since she'd been able to take life peacefully so any opportunity was better than none at all, Jessica's escape from it all was the hemorrhaging sounds of music in her head. Though the Indie-Scene was mostly where her forte had settled upon now she was restricting herself to a bit of Seether.
Chewing at the inside of her lips whilst fiddling with her coat pockets flipping them inward and then out with a bored expression flitting upon her face as she crossed the halls. Primarily dark colors left her unseen and unacknowledged aside from the strange gawking look downward at her bright neon green shoes that made everything appear a shade lighter. With large headphones absorbing a good portion of her head it was obvious why she was so out of it before crashing into the nearest large object which was big enough for her to simple recover quickly.
"Would it hurt for you to suggest hiring someone around to shout 'Wide Load coming through?' or is that out of the question?" Jess would clamor up without even acknowledging the giant.
Jess would simple side step him without continuing the conversation and proceed onward around his lumbering girth taking towards the water fountain before stopping to help herself in a drink. She was really the strange passively confrontational type. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Jayr on the other hand was not as accustomed to not having Jess at her side. The two had more or less been inseparable since the little accident a month or so ago and she'd not adapted to the little bit of me time that was suggested when Jess had disappeared behind the guise of a hammering musical interruption. Jayr had accepted this and simply popped in from time to time to peek in and see if the girl was adapting fine but things seemed to be just the opposite. A distanced gaze and a smile. Two things that were almost never present in the normal life of Jessica.
Jayr relied on keeping to herself only meeting up with Jess at the water fountain with an excitable glance when she saw the girl still at a loss for reality.

When one solid object met with another, the typical reaction was that they collided, exchanged energy and promptly bounced in the opposite direction of another. However, when a smaller object met with a larger object, the reaction was far more one sided, with the small object exerting all of its energy into the larger object and subsequently bouncing back, meanwhile with enough velocity, the larger object continued on.
If the larger object in this case was not sentient the poor girls words would have been drowned out by the sounds of eighteen inch rubber soles grinding down into feet first, then several other body parts equaling in a particularly nasty finale of face and foot. Aren't physics fun!
Instead though, the woman plowed into the large man, whom was as equally oblivious as she was, and he promptly stopped, so slight a shake in his stature in reaction before he was as rigid as he had been once more in the blink of an eye. "I ap-" Looking down at her he rose a brow, her reaction getting him to pause for a moment.. blinking. Typical teenagers really, so often spouting off nonsensical bullshit rather then what was the proper thing to do, and that was apologize for the incident unless it was on the whole one sided..
Then she promptly walked off.. sidestepping him. He glanced to his sandwich, then back to her.. and in a blink the large man would have caused it to disappear like a magicians trick. Harsh swallow, wipe of lips, and he was off. Those large feet easily allowed him to follow after her, stopping only when she did. "The appropriate response when you plow into someone is 'I apologize' or 'I am sorry.' Not some wise ass comment. If you were a man I'd have promptly shoved my size 36 AA's up your ass. I doubt others would care as much, so I suggest before you walk into someone like that again you have the proper response glued in that skull of yours or someone will slap the taste out of your mouth."

Speaking of appropriate. Jess had been all too inclined to get through the day unbothered as she leaned at the side of the fountain slurping in long winded mouths of water making no mind to be polite about it. The way she thought was, how was there to be etiquette to drinking out of a silver platter? It much more so mirrored the display of a few pigs slouched around a trough despite the fact that people played themselves off to be the civilized sort. She thought herself the deterrence to normality and would stick with that conjecture.
Jess would turn around bumping in once more to the big man who was now towering over her, his mouth running but nothing but a mixture of mumbles playing out. She gave him an objectified expression taking it as though she was listening but she wouldn't hear a word from his mouth merely tilting her head to the side wondering if he was that dumb. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "The appropriate response when you plow into someone is 'I apologize' or 'I am sorry.' Not some wise ass comment. If you were a man I'd have promptly shoved my size 36 AA's up your ass. I doubt others would care as much, so I suggest before you walk into someone like that again you have the proper response glued in that skull of yours or someone will slap the taste out of your mouth."
Jayr would take that as an outlandish gesture of brutishness. She didn't see the whole issue unfold but she could conjure such ideals in her head and justify them regardless of how much Jess was out of line, and granted most often she was, that was no way to speak to another. Clearly someone hadn't had their mouth washed out with soap as a child.
"Hey." Jayr would step out in between the big guy and Jess slowly edging her back from him while placing a hand on his chest to get physical contact and not so much shove as incline him away from the situation. "Chill out she can't hear you."
Jayr would motion a hand to her overtly large headphones nearly impossible to miss as they stuck above her head like antlers. Jayr would be the wedge so to speak in distancing the crowd about them from danger so to speak qualifying everyone as a potential threat but the same a potential victim. Even still she didn't regard the large man Katashi as the one to lash out over something as small as that. Even still he was a potential victim too so she had to be understanding and just.
"There are better means to teach a lesson." Jayr would scold him nonchalantly with a smile not feeling the effects of fear.

The fact that people in Guatemala heard him, that, and several people had turned to watch the 'altercation', was lost on those headphones it seemed.. he sighed, again, and close his eyes, counting to ten very slowly, because that brow of his was already twitching in anger. Then another popped in, and the words, with a hand, got eyes opening once more, flicking to her dully. He stared, for a moment, not moving, his breath even seeming to have ceased before he just shook his head.
"Attitude is a chosen trait, not learned, to chose to be rude, is a choice in the wrong direction as far as I am concerned. I do not try to inflict fear merely because it is effective, I try to inflict fear because it is what comes from being rude. Overbearing, loud mouthed, infantile children incapable of anything short of a breath of air sucked in through their mouths, and a tumbling ball of spewed words that are nothing but anger and hate.. If nice could get the job done, then I would do such, unfortunately, thats not the society we live in. Life isnt nice. "
A glance down to her hand, then back up to her, albeit, in a way both of them meant he was still looking down on the obviously smaller female. "Still. If anger falls on deaf ears, it lays way to nothing but violence, as no matter how loudly a vicious dog barks, they've been conditioned one way or the other.. in some cases, she'll lose her fingers, in others, the dog will flee with its tail between its legs. Its never good to gamble on which of those two will confront you." A glance to the other, he'd seen her so often around Jayr often.. although, he could not place a name himself to either one of them. Hmm.

Battle of Words? Innocent enough still as Jess was pushed away by Jayr backwards into the crowd of people as a defensibility tactic it would appear to be Jess would feel slightly belittled. Of course she knew that was just Jayr's way, a seemingly older sister sort of thing ever since the incident of the Tower Knight on school grounds but she didn't need to always carry on like this. Through a slanted sneer Jess would follow the conversation if only briefly through the motion of lips. Eventually it turned into a music video in her head playing in tune with the lyrics.
Man Ogre face talked a lot. Jess sighed quietly still bobbing her head senselessly to the beat without an inclination of what she had become a part of. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Jayr would listen respectably, knowing clearly thats what she'd have wanted from him if she were so opinionated as to speak though she couldn't find any reason to his words. They seemed so deprived of passion and lacking such connection that they must've been built off of a purely media driven craze. While she knew that his relation to people as being hungry dogs in their own right could be true by necessity he also lacked another side, what happened when there were those who proved that wrong.
"If you want to talk semantics I suggest another time and another place." Jayr interjected taking what he said and irrevocably rejecting it.
For that was the world that he lived in, dismal and depressing or perhaps exhilarating for him, but for her, neigh she couldn't live in such a world deemed to be ruled by a neutral mum quote that lay of the land was justified by how brutal you were. Be it as it may she strove for ambition and passion in a world driven by the cruel indoctrinated elite of society and sought to make something not only of herself but those around her.
"Until you find such a time and place we'll be on our way, thank you." Jayr would retract the hand that would otherwise have been used defensively and extract it in return to shake a hand in a friendly terms. While she couldn't agree with what he said she could at least make an effort to understand.
Otherwise shake or not she'd be on her way, turning about with Jess at her side to their next class.

What was the common word? Sheep. He found that amusing, given ever last person on this planet was like a wolf hiding in the skin of a sheep. Following blindly? No. No one followed blindly, at least, not to the degree that common belief would have you fall into the rhythm of believing. As she rejected the pouring, at least, attempts at an explanation of why it was so relevant to scold the girl in such a manner, they were quickly diced and dashed away.. pretty words and curt manner. "Let me ask you just one question."
"When you can't even see that the wolf is banging at your door, asking so sweetly to come with me..." A little closer, taking her hand, gripping it nice and tight, not so tight that he was trying to break the lithe appendage in his hand, but tight enough that his point could be made.
"A soft little whisper, a gentle caress.. the same words the wolf has told hundreds of others. Human nature as a group is finite.. so what do you do with a pack of wolves? When alone one may be so loving and embracing.. with others.. well. You get the idea. Think about it. You don't need to answer me now.. but I do expect at least some consideration as to why its relevant."
He chuckled a little and just smiled at her. "By the way.. seperation of a target from the seeker is only good if the seeker does not care for the mutilation of others to succeed.. something else to contemplate, but with that, I bid you a good day, since obviously my presence here is disturbing and preventing you from doing what needs doing." A little bow, and in the same motion, he'd rise, release her hand, far more gently then he'd taken it, and began making his way through the students interested in conflict, now far too busy whining and discussing other things to care.

Analogies best served when attentive. Perhaps it wasn't the reply he wanted judging by the fact that he pursued them after having turned about on their heels. Jess already a step or two ahead of Jayr while she defensively took up the rear. Perhaps she was growing a bit jaded and fearful of the reality of things. Perhaps that was true but all the same she still clung to her naive dreams of advancement without fear of being chastened.
"Let me ask you just one question."
A slight fret as Jayr continued on not inclining her head to address his attention only presuming that he was keeping pace with her, not a difficult task judging on his leg span.
"When you can't even see that the wolf is banging at your door, asking so sweetly to come with me..."
A grip of her hand, even rough to a point. Jayr only stopped out or mild irritation more than anything else. Was this the show he was getting at. A means to feel her up or otherwise get her angry. While he was probably strong in his own right and maybe smart in the use of argumentation he clearly was preaching to some extent on a topic he clearly had mixed roots in.
Jayr would interject swiftly, "And finite it is Mr. Katashi, then I shall make of it what I can rather than fearing a figment of my imagination such as the bogeyman." Jayr would only concede in her own laughter before pulling her small hand free and pacing her way off allowing for hi to continue in his pursuit or find other means to escape.

"I have no issues with trying to make of it what you will.. only I would not be so sure that the bogeyman is a figment of your imagination, particularly with the type of students that have inhabited these halls at one point or another. You see average teenagers, I see rabid pitbulls, you see a calm sweet way of understanding, I see the mutilation thats come because those understandings are just not understandings, you see a figment of your imagination.. I see several figments walking about these halls everyday. A wild animal 'tamed' or not, is vicious by instinct, just because you pet them like a puppy and think they are cute.. does not mean your arm won't get removed one day."
Oh.. He followed, mostly because optimists tended to grate at something in his mind that made him want to argue. It was sort of a sick situation if you thought about it, because being that he could not really have much optimism he had to try and strangle the others that could live life with that optimistic outlook, so they would recognize that he was right.. and to some degree he was.
Everyone was different, some humans truly had evolved behind the instinctual need to play the role of power to its up most.. but most had not, regardless of what the outward appearance that put up or not.. Hell Katsuri was not even above it, and he still gladly preached that it was around.. and he knew it as well, which was more then he could say for most.

Animal An he followed, it could only be expected when you'd been put down in one way or another, his own logic being tended against him as people were after all like animals. To use it likely his instance were they dogs a stray would come back to the same place to regain some sort of instance in pride. Jayr simply continued her walk away barely hinting at him all the same but smiled respectably.
"I have no issues with trying to make of it what you will.. only I would not be so sure that the bogeyman is a figment of your imagination, particularly with the type of students that have inhabited these halls at one point or another. "So I can't bank on it that you have any aspirations but muddling the population to take after you?"
Jayr would giggle slightly again this time wiping her hair over her shoulder with a humored exterior. "They call that a God-Complex in Psychology." She'd turn her head back and give a small wink.

"Muddling the population? Mm.. Lord no. I just like to argue hon, fan of my own voice and all that. My aspirations are three simple things, music, good booze, and the company of a beautiful woman. Maybe the occasional fist fight here or there.
I've been down the road of dealing with those with god complexes before, the name Gabriel comes to mind, I am sure you know of him unless you've lived under a rock.. Scene is another. There are plenty living and breathing.."
No acknowledgment of his 'own' god-complex, which at times, in the heat of adrenaline he would not disagree with, lord knows he'd done something similar at times. In the end though there was nothing but a smile, and a wink, those hands of his looped so neatly in his pockets. "Although. The first thing I told to your friend there.. is in and of itself the truth. Plowing into someone and not apologizing is rude, and it WILL get her hurt one of these days, I know for a fact, a certain person would probably stab her in several places with a spork.. and we don't want that do we?"

Talk about small world A recurring story of his past, though she'd assumed it was the short part judging upon the briefness of it all so she didn't take his message all too heart. Learning was a thing in her opinion only to be taken from experience, hearing stories about it only lead to seclusion and often ignoring such tales.
I've been down the road of dealing with those with god complexes before, the name Gabriel comes to mind, I am sure you know of him unless you've lived under a rock.. Scene is another. There are plenty living and breathing.."
"No, known all too well of the former recently." Jayr would smile quickly rolling her eyes and continuing on.
Granted Gabriel did have to have a God complex, she didn't know him too well in person seeing as their past few meetings had been brief and short lived seeing as the man popped in said something, punched her and left. He was very good at remaining off the radar. Then again she'd seen his house too with Donnie, he did have some pretty big pictures.
"Although. The first thing I told to your friend there.. is in and of itself the truth. Plowing into someone and not apologizing is rude, and it WILL get her hurt one of these days, I know for a fact, a certain person would probably stab her in several places with a spork.. and we don't want that do we?"
"Hmm sounds serious." Jayr would say sarcastically continuing to walk seemingly without direction before she'd notice she'd lost track of Jess. That girl was too damn small for her own good. Eyes would dart across the room trying to remind herself of direction.
It was 1:30, that meant lunch was over as was her next period that meant she could leave. Yes. She'd forgotten why school felt familiar enough that she could live here if only for a proportional amount of time.
"Well if you have any more tidbits on the vain of humanity please do go on, though I don't suppose you'll get through all too well I've been told by my mother since as long as I can remember that I'm stubborn."
Jayr would say in obvious sarcasm letting her index finger tap at the bottom of her lip before tilting her head away and skipping out to the parking lot worry free.

The girl was... confusing in a way. He smelled each piece of that nasty little sarcasm, and with it, he just shrugged it off, it was borderline rude without being over the edge. "Mm, funny that.. sarcasm is more of a vinegar type of thing." Oh, now that was a grin. As confusing as this girl was, she was interesting as well.. because of the confusion she created. Sweet, soft, blinded outlook on life and yet, at the same time she had the poisonous hooks to match her otherwise carefree and 'regal' demeanor.
"Although, saying that I believe humanity is vain.. mm. Seems our communications must be crossed. I do not believe that humanity is attempting at nothing. No. See, there is a large difference between understanding human limitations, as they stand at the moment, and believing that nothing could ever come..
The actions of an individual. A singular. Sole. Person. Those actions, can be akin to the saints so many make them out to be.. but people.. " A shake of his head and he just chuckled. "People are not yet ready for such a responsibility, and I honestly doubt that they will anytime soon.. maybe in the future." A shrug. "For now though, the animosity, the brutality, the cruelty, of humans.. is all too finite. If it is not poverty, rape, pillaging, and war.. it is greed, gluttony, spite, and class-ism. These things are here. Regardless of rather a pretty set of eyes wants to glaze them over with rainbows and puppy dogs."
He followed her.. of course he did, although, it came in part due to her beauty, which was now something very high on the list given she had captured his interest for things other then the visceral.

And so continues to banter Having made it to her car in one piece she came to realize he probably wouldn't stop talking about the dismal position humanity was in even if she'd left. He just seemed the type to carry on a conversation even when no one was around or cared to listen. Seemed resonate of those other types she run into the day Kiyoshi sparked the riot, though he might've seen himself from a different light he might as well been just the same.
Unwavering and pig headed unwilling to listen to other people's perspectives past face value, and certainly unable to imagine for the most part. Thats where she was proud to an extent that she was still naive, granted with great opportunity to change things out of that very realistic outlet. She'd grin despite the tumorous factor.
A quick turn back to him as she leaned against the door of her Camero. A cocked smile settling in place all the same.
"Awww, so there is an optimist in you after all." She'd smile and lean forward to pinch his cheek if he allowed her too if not she'd settle even for a poke on the nose. It was all in good humor so she thought. "Well Mr. Katashi it was great meeting you and having this deliberating discussion be glad to carry it on someday, hopefully when things have turned around."
She'd grin at him offering her hand this time to shake respectably. Though perhaps to him humans were wolves and dogs and whatever other analogies he could manage relating them to but to Jayr humans were as they were and each deserved their measure of respect regardless of how dismal their outlooks were.
"And wouldn't you know it I plan to bring it about."
Jayr would smile and perform a quick curtsy before slinking off behind the wheel, buckling up, and driving off towards home. Still the lingering hope in her eyes.

He rambled because he enjoyed rambling.. it was... why he rambled. Although, every word he spoke was from experience, not just from some random materialized sense of pride that was pulled solely from his ass. Either way. She just got a smile, hand taken into hers, a shake? No no. He just shifted, bowing head some a soft little kiss to the back of her hand, the car unlocked? He'd open the door for her, allowing her to step in before he lingered with the door for just a moment.
"Just one more thing. If you listen to anything I've said today, please make it this. I am aware of your position, I am aware thats what you mean when you say you're going to 'change' things. Do you know what Gabriel, Scene, Reign, and any number of others I've known in the past have in common?
They all thought they could change things, and they all failed. Regardless of your assumptions, regardless of your optimism. Take this to heart. I do suggest you keep your back very closely guarded.. as the most 'sincere' of people will stab you in the back." A shut to her door, and he'd slip hands in pocket and turn on a heel, heading back off towards the front doors.
