Whats it mean to vanish?
Rumors had spread that David had gone missing, the last Tier One Dragon to be seen in a very long time. In reality, he simply stayed from the lime-light. Unlike most of the powerful dogs feasting on the students this school seemed abundant in, David acted like one of them. Avoiding familiar faces, straying from any altercations. Even coming without his Dragon patch. Why? He wanted to study. Not in a schoolwork sort of way, but study the student body. See things from a side of the fence he wasn't use to.
It was an interesting perspective, and vastly different than he imagined. Students were far less concerned about them then he first imagined. Of course, they all kept up with the news, the recent rumors. But the only time they ever showed fear or admission was when they were around those of high caliber.
Today, he came to school wearing his coat. It wasn't anything special, but it had his name and title attached to it in bold flame, across the shoulders. Black flame, precisely, and a white coat. A stark contrast to the colorful world around him. Needless to say, eyes were cast his way. He ignored them, walking through the doors with his black backpack slung over his left shoulder.
He headed down the hall to his direct left, making way to his locker for his second semester as a college sophomore.

Just having a busy day Alice had been keeping up with Jayr's pace the longest today, it spoke well for her and her newly inserted position as Jayr's assistant. She knew well enough that she was new to the pack and worked well enough to keep up trying to give in as much as she took from it. Not only that but it would seem as though everyone else around her seemed to taper out after a good forty minutes. It wasn't that she was annoying its that her energy seemed infinite the way she went about things tirelessly and with the same energy with each activity.
"Alright so what we need to do is associate some form of student body, large scale I'm thinking but I don't know who's apt enough to keep up with such things, maybe Tsuname, jot her down."
Jayr would go off quickly micromanaging things as she quickly exited her classroom and into the hallway accidentally bumping into a larger man, though by many standards about this school he was a good average and homely sort. Conflict it seemed would be unending here. *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Jayr held true to the whispers as she sought the school for some assistance in altering things around the school. Her confrontation with Katashi had proven just that, she wanted to prove him wrong that there could be change but it wasn't only for herself where that energy came from. It was for a handful of people. There was Jess, Tsubame, Donnie, even annoyingly enough for Gabriel as her mentor stuck his nose in at any chance he could get now that she was in his class.
Her pace however would be disrupted by a very familiar body as she went face first into his shoulder. "Ouch... I mean sorry." Jayr would bring a hand up to rub her face noting that he was pretty sturdy could even be a wall for that matter if it was anything else. Her eyes slowly clearing and realizing just who it was.
"Oh hey there, long time no see David. How are you?" She'd smile stretching her arms out for a hug. Okay so when he left they weren't on hugging basis but Jayr was getting to be more of the huggy forgetful type of person as the days went by.

David stopped, looking down at the person who bumped into him. He had been gazing off down a small intersecting passage, watching a kid slink down the wall with a black eye. He was stressed, obviously scared. Nothing new around 259. Of course, when something hit the compacted muscles in his shoulder, he assumed it was someone trying to pick a fight. Perhaps the same person who picked a fight with the boy in the side hall. He hoped so. He'd like to show that one what a black eye really looked like. Noticing, however, that it was Jayr with a friend of hers, the coiled frame relaxed with a small smile. Nothing drastic, but enough to give a friendly appearance.
"Hey..."
It was...a little unusual for someone to want to hug him. In fact, he hadn't held anyone since his fiancee, some weeks earlier. Still, it wasn't like he really cared, and so he would bring his free arm around to her back as he bent forward in a hug, the kind you gave an old friend or someone potentially a friend.
"Actually, I was just heading to my locker. Care to join me?" He would begin walking should she agree. "I've been alright, for the most part. It's 259, though. Nothing is ever really great here." He would give a little smile, knowing she would probably have an idea of what he meant. It wasn't suppose to be a pessimistic statement, but one more garnered to chuckle at in a knowledgeable way. He would pop open his locker and set his bags inside, looking over at her occasionally as she talked.

Sunshine and Rainclouds "Hey..."
An awkward hug, but a hug nonetheless better of a start then she'd gotten from too many others around here though she'd take as many a chance to divulge in such opportunities as best as possible considering a war could break out at any moment it'd seem, least around here that is.
"Actually, I was just heading to my locker. Care to join me?"
Jayr would grin and nod freezing momentarily to turn back and address Alice quickly with a thankful tone, "Thanks for all the help today Alice I don't know how I'd get through it without you, my place later?" Jayr would speculate quickly towards the girl returned with an indefinite yes through a nod as she turned about hurrying back to catch up with Dylan and the others who must have given up trying to match pace and considered eating instead.
Jayr would have to move double time to catch up to David as he was already at his locker by the time she had finished her little moment with Alice.
"I've been alright, for the most part. It's 259, though. Nothing is ever really great here."
Jayr would nod silently, she knew all too much what that was like, this place was so much different from 774. Things were much darker in a way, it left her worried at times just how much good she could do.
"It wouldn't be so bad if it couldn't be fixed. I mean K'mon a bit of elbow grease will do wonders." Jayr giggle lightly trying to lighten things up a bit, she was very much the sort of optimist that couldn't stand to see people looking down when they could do wonders looking up.

He sighed a little, tilting his head with a half smile, half wince, nodding.
"Yeah, i suppose. A lot of people have tried there and failed, though. Its not an easy task cleaning up a place when everyone just keeps throwing more garbage on the floor, if you get my meaning."
He shut his locker, turning the dial a couple times to mix the tumblr, Turning around, he leaned against it, staring at a guy who walked by, glaring at him in a mean-muggish sort of way. David didn't glare so much as stare in total disinterest, directly into his eyes. It made someone feel worthless, like a mindless nobody. The kid shook his head and talked some trash to his friends- but he kept walking. That was the important thing. You can talk all you want but if you ain't got the balls to stop... he brought his eyes back to Jayr, pointing with his chin at the kids back. He was all the way down the hall, now.
"Take him for instance. Thugs roam 259 in droves. You'd need a hard army to route them, or a strong pillarship, and this school has neither. Not since Mitsuki, anyway."
he included himself in that equation. He had been Captain five or six times, and every time he failed to do what he needed. Yeah, he was strong, but in truth, he just couldn't handle the hot seat- too much attention for his liking. He held out a hand, gesturing to Jayr before he put it back in his pocket.
"So whats new with you then? Life here everything you dreamed it would be so far?"

Heres to trying. "Yeah, i suppose. A lot of people have tried there and failed, though. Its not an easy task cleaning up a place when everyone just keeps throwing more garbage on the floor, if you get my meaning."
Jayr could understand where he was coming from, all the same it reminded her of a dismal conversation with Katashi just a tad bit on the more unsatisfied side. At least he was trying, that much couldn't be said out of a lot of people she'd met over the past month who'd all but given up.
She'd follow his vision to another guy, the male bravado ridden testosterone scale going up, up and up to a point where she could feel her ears ringing but all she'd address it with would be a typical smile almost taunting his little showmanship of tough guy to a humerus extent.
"Take him for instance. Thugs roam 259 in droves. You'd need a hard army to route them, or a strong pillarship, and this school has neither. Not since Mitsuki, anyway."
"They're only thugs if you make them such." Jayr would comment quickly turning slightly to mirror his motion leaning against the locker. She came off a lot more sultry than he did, long flowing red dress with heels, not to mention the curves to her body as she watched.
"If I were an expert I'd place Sophomore still trying to be noticed. See the label brands he wears." Jayr would point out the subtle hints to his personality in the form of clothing quickly laughing at herself for making a reference to cloths and fashion as a means to insight character.
"So whats new with you then? Life here everything you dreamed it would be so far?"[
"Its getting better, I know when I came here people weren't taking me seriously, but I guess I'm getting through even if its a small step in the right direction, its a step right?" Jayr would look to him like a mentor in a way to approve of her actions but all the same unafraid to continue down the same path unhinged by his opinion.

"Heh. Yeah, guess so. Growing up with something, its hard to let go." He touched the Dragon patches on his arms. "Besides, these things been with me through some tough times, and i've gone the past few weeks without them." He shrugged. Perhaps it seemed petty for someone in college to hang on to high school ideals, but it was all the same school, all the same processes. He wouldn't be out of it until he was out of school, and if wearing clothes that signified who he was in a few simple words...well.
"Besides, i don't wear them to taunt. I wear them to announce." He tilted his head back against the locker. "It sounds corny, really, but i don't put my name on my clothes to be cocky, and yet i do. It's to tell the few who are good in this place that i am here, and willing to help." He chuckled a little, hanging his head.
"People use to come to me asking for help. Hell, they still do. All because they see the name." His smile slowly faded as he remembered Gilgamesh, Gabriel, Amtrum. "They are also a magnet for the strong. To test myself, sure, but to also keep them from the weak." He smiled, glancing over at Jayr a moment before tilting his head back again.
"Told you it was corny."

Aspirations Jayr would smile having heard his part, though she really did intend more for him to take a look at those he was protecting, there were those who needed the help and often weak but were those not also the same people who later grew up to favor one side or another? It was an often times grey area so to speak how could one get everything right of course.
"Heartfelt yes, Inspirational maybe, Corney definitely." Jayr would laugh a tad before turning around the face him again leaving the common observation in the past before figuring this to be all just another big conversation.
"Though I suppose they're thankful for that, in one way or another. That hand I mean." Jayr would blush slightly turning away to gather her composure slowly bringing a hand up to press a lock of hair from in front of her face over her ear settling it there neatly.
"Though you put too much weight on yourself, do you think its time that the students looked after themselves?" Jayr would say with a bright inclination to her voice. She did after all had something in mind for this. "Perhaps it won't be a quick change, but things always do, they just need a push in the right direction."
Her smile would seem to brighten up everything around her as she did so, so blindly optimistic some would say, then again they didn't know Jayr or the effort she put forth for those bright dreams to come true.

Too much weight?
He stared off a moment, trying to give it serious thought.
"No, i don't think so. I mean, i put weight on myself, but its not just for them. I...like to fight. As hypocritical as that sounds. Fighting is fun, in many ways. You can learn everything about a person through how they fight. Everything." He smiled. "As for students looking after themselves...did you ever meet Mathew Amtrum?" He looked over at her. "No, i suppose he was before you. Well, Mathew was strong. very strong. And he just loved ripping kids up. People like Leon and others couldn't fight him...everyone just stayed out of his way, while he tormented and abused people weaker then him day in and day out." He looked away.
"I'm not saying im here to hold their hand every second, but if someone far stronger comes along and decides to have a little fun just because he knows how to throw a punch? Well, i'll make sure he knows how to take a few too." He sounded passionate, for a moment, before letting out a breath. "Its hard to explain, but im driven to protect those who are weaker then me. Not because im better then them as a person, but because i have the strength, and because if i dont...well, who will?" He scratched his hair before looking back to her.
"Thats probably the longest speech i've given in months. Feel special."
He smiled, in a nice way, trying his best not to sound like a muscle head who just did what he did to show off.

"Mm. Same old tried and tired ultimatums eh?"
Of course that was in response to David. Though, there was glance given to both before he focused on the male of the duo. A wink, and a flick of a grin. "How well do you still take um tho?" A hand was moved, to Jayr, an attempt to gently guide her out of the way so that he could cock his head and then jerk back.. a split-second existence as David would have seen that the behemoth was not just big and strong anymore. WOOSH. Fist would have hurdled right at his chest, aiming to plaster his body into the lockers.. oh. He'd not forgotten the man, and he was owed one of these.
When he recoiled back, he'd have cracked knuckles and shook his hand a bit before tipping his head in a slight nod of respect to Jayr, "You can resume your conversation when he gets out of the rubble, knowing him he won't be hurt too much." and then was promptly on his way, or at least attempted to anyhow.

Feeling Special. "Not Really."
Jayr would reply bluntly with a slight tilt to her head more in a cute disposition than anything else. She really didn't mind hearing everyones opinions like this it was just hard to find a way to please everyone. Perhaps thats not what she needed to do after all, knowing that much from the beginning but gathering a better realization now. Katashi, he enjoyed arguing he said; David, enjoyed fighting. She'd assumed that everyone else had some strong desire to do something one way or another when things suddenly struck her.
"Hey!" She'd exclaim excitedly with the wild fire burning in her eyes. "You just gave me a great idea."
Jayr would turn around quickly to make sure no one was looking over her shoulder respectably, though not as if it would matter considering how much Jayr got around with her schemes and plans it was like a party every day with her.
"Well seeing as you like fighting, I'm sure there are many others who fit into that boat, as well as a few other things here and there. And you can't exactly control it all, nor can you just sit by and watch it all go to hell." Jayr looked at her notepad quickly blurbing out her stream of thought, "What if all you need to do is keep people busy?"
Jayr would look up speculatively for some feedback if he was after all following her.
"How well do you still take um tho?"
The relatively familiar voice butting into an otherwise forward conversation. Jayr would be forced to roll her eyes as he tried edging her out of the way with a hand. She would have none of this. Granted that her position was close enough to Katsuri so that speed wouldn't have a huge infliction on interception she'd covertly sweep a foot to catch under his large legs with enough force to knock him from his feet, and if not that deter his blow to miss David completely.
"Sorry about that Mr. Katashi but its also rude to interrupt without asking permission." She'd reply in a composed sort of way as though it was justified.

Sweeped. The big man fell. Hard. Except. His leg went up as well.. despite Jayr's interception, there was now a heater of a heel soaring up right at Davids chin, aiming to send him through the ceiling above.. and probably a little more past that. Due to her previous interaction, she was a little too low on the ground to be intercepting the big mans foot as well as getting back upright to do so.
As for Katsuri? He continued to fall, that large form of his landing into the tile, head bouncing a bit. Arms fell back and he'd have planted them into the floor, aiming to push himself up, a bit before he dropped again and used the motion to snap back up to his feet, winking at Jayr.. again. A good guy thumbs up to top it off, and then he was off, walking down the hall in some random direction..

David, listening to Jayr, would be suddenly distracted by the monstrous figure stepping up to him. He took his hands from his pockets, pulling down his hood and staring up into the beasts eyes without fear. Katsuri was a lot of things to a lot of people, but scary to David was not one of them. The man planned on punching the Aetheral Dragon, and David didn't plan on having any of the dish the fella was wanting to serve. But, rather then be able to counter, he was forced to watch the big man fall. He stepped forward, read to act. By doing so, and by bending his upper body forward a little, the kick would land lower then expected- around the sternum.
Hard.
Not going straight up though. The angle his body was bent at would send him up in a diagonal, plowing clean through the wall just above the lockers and into the next classroom. He turned around, planting his hands against the opposite wall as he hit it, dropping immediately and landing lightly. He took a deep breath, a dull throb in his chest now. His ears perked, listening closely. The man was back to his feet, walking down the hall. not so fast. David walked like a ninja, light on his feet. He moved through the connecting doorway into another classroom- a Lab area. Perfect. Large and filled with nothing but space.
He went to the far end of it, leaned back and charged forward, sprinting full speed, like a bullet. The classroom was pitch black, but the light shone in, so he could see through the small windows that lined the upper side of the wall. The big guy would have a tough time seeing him, since the glare on the glass would hurt the eyes. Not to mention, he had no real reason to look that way. David would plow through the wall and attempt to hit the giant with enough speed and force to send a small car tumbling.
If it hit, David would speak.
"One upped, bitch."
And he would walk away, back toward Jayr, brushing off his clothes.
"What were you saying, now?"
As if nothing happened.
Yup, just an average day at Public Highschool 259.

Boys and their Toys Jayr would of course have had the unfortunate opportunity of better aiding Katashi's strike, even if it was a random strike at that, his foot lurching up and applying harshly to David's sternum. As she came up she'd simply flip her hair over the shoulder and look back noting that each of them had been floored before Katashi was back up on his feet grinning with a thumbs up. She leveled an annoyed glare at him like he was her mother getting into her business and just being a nuisance more than anything else but couldn't help but think it was a tad bit funny. Rejecting the physical impulse to laugh all the same turning to David.
"Mr. Katashi you are just a pest aren't you." She'd manage to squeak that much out with whatever seriousness she could manage.
That was before she heard the obnoxious steamroller coming back through the former hole to otherwise get even. Looking now to David as though he were but a child. Another day at 259 perhaps it was but this was so much stacked upon the schools' shoulders painfully so. Jayr glared in response, not at Katashi but at David.
"What were you saying, now?"
Her arms would cross over her chest and a foot tapping on the floor as her cheeks grew red. She was considering how many ways she could belittle him now, painfully so that he'd feel ashamed but quickly redirected her vision down the hall and tromped off with a loud "Humff." Expecting him just as much to follow as she'd continue a sort of rant she was slowly starting to develop in times like these.
"Oh nothing, something revolving around how the boys should tromp around school and slap each others behinds while the rest of us remain unseen and unheard and pick up the mess and provide sandwiches." All the while doing so with her hand gestures portraying the blight of existence in a sarcastic tone.

"Pest? What do you take me for? I am a professional annoyance connoisseur, and I prefer doing my business in such a manner."
Said with a humpf, and nod of his own, at least before eyes lit up and ring ding ding, he was plowed into by the steamroller, sent tumbling off in the distance.. Down the hallway, doing some weird twirling, flipping motion at an angle. It did not stop until he had taken out about ten students on the way to the end of the hall, and finally planted a hand down on the tile, skidding himself to a halt before rising up to his full height.
He looked back at the damage, straightened his suit, and cleaned any debris off of it, then took one of those large clodhoppers and pressed it down in the direction of the intersecting hallway. He'd leave it be for now and go find something else to do.. at least until he next decided to randomly kick David in the face. Yay!
