The day was early, making it all seem like a musty sandy day in the land of Chalk Drawings Long Beach. With the sun as high as it could possibly reach, it would only seem natural that people would be out and about, possibly having lunch, possibly doing whatever they were good at doing. The dawn yesterday had treated everyone with a nice mist to coat the city with a good shower of clean humidity today, and with that, nearly everyone was out..
Things to do:
1. Get up. 2. Shower. 3. Check wounds. 4. Go somewhere.
Well, checks were placed on numbers 1-3. It was now officially time to DO HIS OWN THING. Which was one of the best parts of the day, especially on a weekend. When there was nothing to be done and all the workout had been finished, it would now be time to do what every teenager would do best when it came to life skills.
-- Slack off.
About that statement earlier however, it was true, there were obviously a lot of people hustling and bustling about.. Emphasis on the hustling as it seemed. Cody continued down the musty streets that smelt odd with the placement of tarmac.. It was certainly city life alright. But.. Something just didn't feel right, as the blond wore that supremely hot aviator jacket, this would be the first time in weeks he'd have stepped outside of his home, the gym.
With those semi torn jeans, and that exact thick shining blond hair, Cody decided on food for the morning, before simply wandering around. However, this was no ordinary wander around, no.. This looked like there was a festival going on! The entire street closed itself off in order to pull some sort of entertainment, which was obviously.. weird. But, the curiosity peaks, and there you have it. One more drone to line up!
Oddly enough, there were a lot of stands that were set up on the side that Cody had entered.. And they looked like they were serving something completely weird.. And yet, they looked familiar..
Unbeknownst to Cody, they were mini French Cafe's. You know, like the ones that they have in all those fancy French settings for the movies?.. Nevermind. Cody could just simply raise an eyebrow. However.. There was something.. Very delectible! Yes! It smelled very good! Cody's nose twitched and sniffed and it brought him to a baked goods stand..
And here's the fun part.
Cody simply looked down at the bits of bread, but they smelled soooo~ good. His stomach growled as the vendor watched him closely, smoking a cigarette.. Stereotype enough? With a black beret on his head and a black and white striped shirt, he watched Cody carefully, almost as if he had some sort of grudge.
Cody's eyes found their way to a odd shaped bit of bread, that had several different layers on it so it seemed. And it was in the shape of some sort of.. C? Yeah.. That's definetly what it looked like.
Cody pointed to it.
"How much for the C bread?"
The frenchman eyed him up and down slowly, passing him a cold glance.
"Eet iz pronounced Croissant.."
"Craw-what?"
That gaze got sharper, as Cody was obviously having a hard time recalling his Canadian-ness.
"Croissant! Eet is called Croissant!!"
His eyes widened as the French salesman became more deterred with his customer.
"Cru.. Cruh.. Look can I just buy it?!"
Cody held out his arms in confusion. The sound of his past jingling in his pockets.
"HMPH!" The Frenchman scoffed, throwing his cigarette down and stepping on it.
"You filthy American! You pig! You may NOT buy my food until you pronounce it proper!!"
Cody was taken aback by his statement.
"Now, hold on.. I'm not American, I'm Canadian!.."
The frenchman scoffed once more.
"Hmph! Even more of a reject! You're lucky I'm even TALKING to you right now!"
Cody gritted his teeth, this guy obviously had pride on the brain.. His words had more brute in them than Cody had physically.

It was such a beautiful day out! The sun was shining, it was nice and warm and slightly moist so the air didn't burn when it entered your lungs, and on top of all that, there was a French festival on the pier! If the French girl didn't feel at home here...
She quickly found out which stands were legitimate and which were full of phonies, trying to pass off their goods as authentic in order to make a quick buck. Either way, it was really enjoyable.
Clad in a light blue dress that complimented her eyes, the wind tugging at the hem around her knees, she made her way through the stands, taking in the sights and smells and..arguing?
"Croissant! Eet is called Croissant!!"
"Cru.. Cruh.. Look can I just buy it?!"
"HMPH! You filthy American! You pig! You may NOT buy my food until you pronounce it proper!!"
"Now, hold on.. I'm not American, I'm Canadian!.."
"Hmph! Even more of a reject! You're lucky I'm even TALKING to you right now!"
Clearly, there was something not right here, and the sophomore's gaze drifted to the source of the commotion. A blonde haired boy was arguing with a stereotypically French vendor who seemed to be getting red in the face over his merchandise. Arielle stepped up to them, insterting herself into the conversation before it got unnecessarily violent.
"Je plains mon ami ici, il a été mépris. Peut-il avoir un croissant s'il vous plaît?" I'm sorry for my friend here, he was mistaken. Can he have a croissant, please?
She asked sweetly, giving the man a kind smile.

The young man attempted to hold his temper in check, but even he couldn't hold it that long in the face of such adversity.. Such arrogance. It was almost as if he was doing this on purpose just to piss him off in a very peculiar way. Like he was getting some kind of freakish enjoyment out of it that really only some certain psychopaths were interested in.. And furthermore that outfit.. It just screamed.. Hey! Look at me! I'm a big as--
-- Right, point made. The guy was a jerk.
And furthermore, all he wanted was a piece of that.. Croissant. Or whatever he wanted to call it, or pronounce it for that matter. Now.. Things were about to get ugly, ugly indeed.. Cody still mustered the ability to just barely grit his teeth holding his slender thread of patience in check, before just rolling up the sleeves on that fur, brown, leather jacket before slamming him right in the face and onto the ground.
.. I mean.. Who in their right mind wouldn't?..
.. Right?
Regardless, the cold gaze was held by the two.. "Gentlemen" for lack of a better word, obviously they were going to have issues between each other. And it was all over a simple lack of pronounciation. Sure.. Cody was Canadian, and he knew a bit a French.. Or at least, from what he could remember. That wasn't exactly common knowledge. For him, common knowledge would be to keep everything in ship shape and in check.
But.. There was always that little addition to the equation that caused sidetracks.
"Je plains mon ami ici, il a été mépris. Peut-il avoir un croissant s'il vous plaît?"
Immediately, a small voice reached out, almost grabbing the stereotype by the jaw, and prying him to the eyes of the small maiden that had reached out to the conflict with her voice. Similarly, Cody did the same, as he took a quick glance at the smile of the young lady prying herself into this helpless situation with her near flawless speech.
With the realization of who she was, and the way she sounded, he immediately turned that scowl into a pleasant smile. Of course, totally ignoring Cody in his point. He simply clapped his hands together.
"Ah.. Ha Ha! Oui oui, ma cheri! Une momente.. Apres vous.. Un croissant!"
Yes yes, my dear! One moment.. Here you are.. One Crossaint!
He held out the largest bit of bread to her, with a giant smile plastered on his face, almost as if he was showing up Cody to the point of sheer ego buffing.. But Cody wouldn't be snuffed so easily.. After all it was for him anyway. He cleared his throat as the Merchant quickly tossed a glance his way.
".. Ahem.."
".. Ah.. Yes.. Eight dollars.."
Cody sighed, in his mind, he began ranting.
Eight dollars for a odd shaped piece of bread?! What is this?! This is highway robbery that's it! Why I oughta--
.. Anyway.. Cody then briefly dug out his wallet, paying eight dollars for the small bit of bread, before the salesman simply left it there on the stand for him to pick up. He snatched the eight dollars away, before Cody took the bread in hand. However.. The salesman wasn't apparently done with the peacekeeping girl yet.. He turned his attention immediately to her, passing a smile. Before digging into his cart..
"Et vous.. Une gallete! Pour la bonte a ta.. Moins intelligente ami.."
And for you.. One Cookie! For your kindness to your.. Less intelligent friend.. He was handing it her, free of charge! Cody couldn't believe what he was seeing! This was.. Obviously very rude, but.. She did deserve praise for saving anyone from getting hurt that day, namely Mr. Arrogance. Cody sighed and rolled his eyes as he cooed in happiness over the French - Speaking young lady. Cody simply just looked off to the side as he was simply brushed off.
And he didn't have a clue what they were saying anyway.. Well other than the occasional agreement.. But that was about it.
Watching all of this was rather.. disheartening though.
Almost didn't want the Croissant anymore, as he watched the Frenchman attempt to become friendly with the nice young lady.

Pleased to have avoided a violent confrontation, Arielle's smile widened as the vendor brightened up, fetching a croissant for the blonde haired boy. They hadn't lost all animosity between them, though, as the exchange was rather cold and brief. However, as she was about to thank him, the vendor gave her a cookie...for free!
"Vous remercier autant de ! Et désolé pour le monsieur d'ennui." Thank you so much! And sorry for the trouble sir.
She took the cookie gratefully, the surprise adding a faint pink to her cheeks. She turned to the boy, looping her arm in his and muttering to him in an undertone.
"Juz't play along."
Her English was not as flawless as her French, her accent rounding the vowels of her speech. If he would humor her, she would smile, waving gently with her cookie hand to the vendor.
"Au revoir. Apprécier votre jour." Goodbye. Enjoy your day.

If Cody could remember and of his French, it would do him good right about now. Obviously since he didn't understand a word that they were saying between them, especially the vendor. But that wasn't the point. The point was that this.. Jerk was seriously trying to get attention, but in a bad way. But still.. There was always the bread to eat, anyway.
"Vous remercier autant de! Et désolé pour le monsieur d'ennui."
Still watching them talk in another language, it really feels like you're being left out entirely. Especially since you don't know what's going on, what's being said. But watching her as she took the cookie, it was obvious that she was going to eat said cookie, and enjoy it too. Cody could just simply look down at his little bit of bread, and then look at that delicious cookie. It looked so much better than his little curved bit of pastry.
However, that's when the unexpected happened.
WHen a sudden force came and wrapped itself around Cody's arm unexpectedly, Cody couldn't help himself but look down to see that the girl had latched herself to Cody. He looked up, and then back towards the vendor with a sudden look of surprise. After which, he looked at the vendor again, with a bit of red showing on his face. He looked like a total fool, but obviously it was something good. Watching the vendor's jaw drop at least half a mile down his face was ever so pleasing. Putting a smile on Cody's face, one of victory.
"Juz't play along."
He heard a slight chirp from her to confirm her little scheme, and obviously it was working, he would for the time being, watching the vendor's face writhe in a bit of dissapointment.
"Au revoir. Apprécier votre jour."
With that, he watched as the young lady waved to him with tat cookie in her hand, as he looked so peeved, Cody then turned away from the vendor with her, making sure to get one last look back, as if to say, don't play smart with me. The vendor said nothing.
After getting a short distance away from any sight of the vendor, Cody would still be holding that victorious bit of bread in his hand. But there was more important things at hand first, and that was proper introductions.. Or at least a simple thanks. He turned himself slightly towards her.
"Thanks for that.. He was really trying my patience back there."
He sounded relieved. And of course, who wouldn't be after having to deal with such a jerk. After all, all he wanted was a small piece of bread. The wind slightly blew, letting his hair blow a bit.
"I mean, all I wanted was a bit of bread! Goodness, my stomach would have been louder than him!"
He chuckled lightly, as he sighed.
"Sorry to get you involved in that. I probably shouldn't have wandered down here, I don't remember French for the life of me."

"Thanks for that.. He was really trying my patience back there. I mean, all I wanted was a bit of bread! Goodness, my stomach would have been louder than him!"
Arielle laughed at this, the exasperation in the boy's tone over the vendor's behavior. She agreed that it had been a little too much, hence why she stepped in to help him in the first place.
"Sorry to get you involved in that. I probably shouldn't have wandered down here, I don't remember French for the life of me."
"You deedn't get me involved, I volunteered."
She smirked, taking a bite of her cookie. It was delicious, and she was certain the vendor had tried to be sweet on her like this cookie, but she wasn't interested. It had been really nice of him though.
"Unfortunately, my French eez better zan my English. Mon nom est Arielle. Pleasure to meet you."

Well at least she laughed at his joke, that was a plus in itself. Also one of the main reasons why he cracked the joke in the first place. Henceforth, why it was called a joke? Get it? No? Go to a comedy club!.. I kid. I kid.. Wait.. What do you mean, that wasn't funny?! I take that back! Well still the point was she laughed at his joke, or at least.. His attempted joke, anyway.
"You deedn't get me involved, I volunteered."
Finally, he could hear her words a little clearly, and it words he could understand too! But.. Her point was still there, even though her vowels rounded off her speech, such was the result of the French heritage after all. But it was nice to see that someone had such good samaritan skills like here.. That was very rare nowadays.
Heck, look at Cody. After all, he thought he was the only "Good Samaritan" left. Out of all those people anyway.
"Unfortunately, my French eez better zan my English. Mon nom est Arielle. Pleasure to meet you."
Cody laughed a bit, this was funny, at least she was practicing English and in a very well suited tone too. That was the good point of people that were dedicated.. Or just the people that didn't really have a choice and had to submit to the doings of society.
Ha.. ha..
He raised his arm with the croissant in it, the one that she helped him obtain by dealing with a really annoying vendor. Interestingly enough, she handled him quite well.. And got a cookie out of it! That's quite a score!
Lucky girl.
He took a bite out of his bread, it tasted, somewhat fluffy, yet bland. With strong tastes of butter lingering out of the bits and peices, it was adequate and would suffice for his hunger right now. But right now, his hunger would have to wait.
Swallowing the tiny bit in one bite, as not to seem rude, Cody quickly went to object on her previous statement.
"Now that's nonsense! Your English is great! I have no idea what ever made you think that way."
He offered that smile along with words of encouragement. Of course, when she switched tongues it took Cody a bit to remember what Mon and Nom meant.
Oh.
Her name.
"Anyway, my name is Cody, and still, despite your volunteering, you helped me out. Thank you."
He took another bite of his bread.
"If you hadn't have helped me out when you did, I probably would have been crowded by several others of his friends and been forced to do miming for the rest of this.. Uh.. Festival."
Even he wasn't sure what this was.
"And besides, this probably isn't the place for people like me anyway, I mean.. I can't.. Remember French for the life of me, other than "Yes" and "No!".."
Obviously he was poking fun at himself for his lack of social skills among these people.
"You must feel right at home here! I mean, I've never seen this before!.. And since you speak the language.. Man what I wouldn't give."
He paused for a moment to take another bite.
"I mean.. I couldn't even say Cruh.. Craw.. Creh.. Ehh.."
Tongue tied again.. Cody you idiot..

Arielle smiled when the blonde haired boy said her English was great. She had learned a bit in France, but had only started to use it primarily when she came to America two years ago. So this was a real compliment for her, and she really appreciated it.
"Anyway, my name is Cody, and still, despite your volunteering, you helped me out. Thank you. If you hadn't have helped me out when you did, I probably would have been crowded by several others of his friends and been forced to do miming for the rest of this.. Uh.. Festival."
"Pleasure to meet you, Codee. You are very welcohme."
Her rounded vowels twisted his name slightly, but not so much as to completely butcher his name. She hadn't minded helping him out, after all she got to meet him, didn't she? Being new to the West Coast, she hadn't made many new friends yet. She had met that German boy, but she could hardly call him her friend. Even 'acquaintance' was a stretch.
"And besides, this probably isn't the place for people like me anyway, I mean.. I can't.. Remember French for the life of me, other than "Yes" and "No!"..You must feel right at home here! I mean, I've never seen this before!.. And since you speak the language.. Man what I wouldn't give."
"Oh come on, festivahls are foh everyone! It doesn't matter whut language you speak. If you want, I can trahnslate for you."
She smiled reassuringly.
"I mean.. I couldn't even say Cruh.. Craw.. Creh.. Ehh..
"Croissant."
She pronounced for him, saying it slowly so he could imitate the vowel pronunciations, her smile widening. It was kinda cute to see him struggle like that, but it was all in good humor. She took another bite of her cookie.

"Pleasure to meet you, Codee. You are very welcohme."
He smiled, at least she was trying to work as best as she can which is what he was different from her. At least she was trying to make her way past the english language, Cody felt like an idiot trying to pronounce French, but such is life. Sheepish smile just cornered itself from cheek to cheek pretty much.
But, his point about the festivals, maybe he shouldn't be here, after all. It was funny to see how a normal person without.. Well, some experience. It seemed that the pair were at least somewhat in the same boat.. Somewhat.
Where she was still getting used to the English language, and getting really good at it too. Cody wasn't used to this at all. And it was all the more halarious to see him try and at least pronounce something.
"Oh come on, festivahls are foh everyone! It doesn't matter whut language you speak. If you want, I can trahnslate for you."
Cody was shocked, she would translate for him? He smiled lightly, but at least she was willing to help him out, maybe then he wouldn't look like such an idiot.. But even then, he couldn't trouble her anymore than he already was..
"Croissant."
He smiled sheepishly again, he would try again.
"Crowssant."
But after hearing that, he knew that if he wanted to go anywhere down on the French lane. He laughed at himself.
".. Oh.. Well, um.. I couldn't possibly trouble you any more than you've already helped me."
But..
"But.. If you insist, I'd be happy for your help. I'd look like a total idiot if I didn't have you around to help me!"
He thought to himself for a moment, now there must be something..
".. But.. How can I repay you for all of this? There must be something you want.. And I won't take no for an answer!"
He smiled, that way he was repaying what kindness she had offered him.

A light humored giggle escaped the girl as he repeated after her, handling the awkward vowels a little bit better, but it still sounded funny. It was cute though, and she was glad to see he was trying.
".. Oh.. Well, um.. I couldn't possibly trouble you any more than you've already helped me."
She smiled mildly, and was about to object when he continued.
"But.. If you insist, I'd be happy for your help. I'd look like a total idiot if I didn't have you around to help me!"
"Oh, eet eez no trouble attol. Really."
".. But.. How can I repay you for all of this? There must be something you want.. And I won't take no for an answer!"
Arielle thought for a moment, chewing on a bite of her cookie.
"Well, I am new to Long Beach, ahnd I haven't met many people or made too many friends. Purhaps you can teach me a bit about Long Beach, ahnd maybe...being my friend."
She smiled sheepishly.

Well this was certainly glad to know that she wasn’t totally embarrassed with his standing in his English – French language. Certainly there wasn’t any barrier there at all. And he was most glad for that. Of course, he just was a little worried that he would be bothering her, after all this was taking time out of her day to make sure that he wasn’t getting beat up by several different Frenchmen in the meantime. Certainly..
"Oh, eet eez no trouble attol. Really."
Oh, well in that case..
Still an offering of some sort of a reward MUST be had, there was no way he could tolerate that by just simply having her lead him around aimlessly, and was willing to do anything that she asked. After all, she did really help him out, albeit in a shapeful way. In her own little way that is, without other people getting hurt. Obviously she deserved a reward.. That was much better than the cookie that she obtained from Mister Snooty Salesman.
"Well, I am new to Long Beach, ahnd I haven't met many people or made too many friends. Purhaps you can teach me a bit about Long Beach, ahnd maybe...being my friend."
Huh?.. She just wanted him to show her the sights and be his.. Friend? Well that didn’t seem like much of a reward, not to him anyway. But if she really want a friend, well.. That shouldn’t be much a problem at all! Especially since that was all she wanted.. He thought to himself for a moment before making a reply.
“Hmm.. Well! Okay! I’ll show you around, and of course I’ll be your friend!”
He answered with a wide smile. He was obliged to become such a helpful person’s friend. But of course there must have been a different way to repay her. He thought for a moment.
“But there must be something else I can offer in repayment, something else you would like? Anything at all?.. If not.. Well, I suppose you can lead us around! But be warned.. I will get you something!”
He said with a laugh.
He paused, and waited for her answer.

“Hmm.. Well! Okay! I’ll show you around, and of course I’ll be your friend!”
"Oh, fantastique!"
The French girl smiled genuinely, possibly the brightest smile she'd given him since they'd met. It really meant a lot to her to have a friend here, she felt so alone, having left her home and friends and most of her family except for her mother behind. The transition had been difficult, but now it was starting to look up.
“But there must be something else I can offer in repayment, something else you would like? Anything at all?.. If not.. Well, I suppose you can lead us around! But be warned.. I will get you something!”
Her cheeks pinkened slightly.
"Ett ees not necessary. I cannot zink of annyting else I want."
She laughed sheepishly, shrugging her slender shoulders. Perhaps it would be good to change the subject.
"Let's go zshall we?"
She finished off her cookie, moving on down the stands of the French festival.

Well it was nice to see her smile brighten up with that contract of friendship that they had formed, he was pleased with it and with the look on her face, she looked very happy about it. Thinking about it now.. She probably didn't have very many friends, if she was asking HIM of all people to be her friend. In all reality nobody would really want to be this guy's friend at all!..
But.. Maybe it could have been just that extra little push that forced her to ask him about being her friend.
That..
Or she was new to the city and didn't know very many people anyway. He was betting it was probably the latter of the two hypothesis. Especially since she said so, and that was that.
"Oh, fantastique!"
Even the enthusiasm in her voice was pleasant, that signaled that she was happy, but there was sure to be antics on this day that would probably make things even more interesting. I mean.. It was a French Festival after all. And that made things all the more fun, sights to be seen.. And even maybe get her something like he promised.
"Ett ees not necessary. I cannot zink of annyting else I want."
He raised a brow, and couldn't think of the last time that anyone wanted to turn a present down from anyone for lack of a better term. But even so, there was that little bit of good in her that Cody hadn't most likely seen yet, after all there were other things to be seen that she didn't know about Cody. But perhaps in due time she would figure it out.
Especially why in God's name he was wearing that scalding hot Aviator's jacket in THIS kind of weather.
Who knew?
Regardless, He WAS going to get her something, weather she liked it or not, kindness did not go unrewarded after all, but before he could respond..
"Let's go zshall we?"
Eager beaver, eh? Well She wanted to go, and follow he would.
FRENCH GIRL ARIELLE HAS JOINED THE PARTY!
Wonderful.
Excusing the Final Fantasy and basic RPG genres for now, Cody would simply follow her throughout the crowds, observing everything as it was in a different language. Sticking close to Arielle as people talked and laughed in a different language, it was enough to make Cody feel like the ugly duckling, but this was probably how Arielle felt when she first came to Long Beach. Hell, any person that moves would feel this way.
There were Mime's miming.
Vendors shouting..
It was all new to him. Enough to make a man feel.. Almost less intelligent.
But that's besides the point.
However, there was something that caught his attention on the way down the street, a small tent had been pitched up with a pair of fine dressed men directing a large amount of people to their tent. It was colored red and green with stripes. With a massive sign hanging over the entrance.
"Hey.. Arielle.. What's that? Over there?"
He pointed over the large crowds of people to a sign that read.
'Les merveilles du monde.'
The Wonders Of The World.

Arielle was indeed curious as to why the boy was wearing a hot and possibly uncomfrotable jacket while she was comfortably warm in a baby blue tanktop and white peasant skirt...but to each their own. She wasn't the type of person to question someone's fashion taste, especially not a new friend! Now if he looked clearly overheated or uncomfortable, then she would ask. Because then that was a health issue, not a question of fashion preference.
And besides, he looked cute in it. Tough.
Walking through the festival reminded her of festival days back home, and that made her smile. It wasn't every day back in France that mimes walked around and music played, there were open air markets that were represented hereby the vendors, but nothing this extensive. Not that she was complaining, this place was marvelous.
"Hey.. Arielle.. What's that? Over there?"
Azure hues followed the boy's pointing to read the sign, 'Les merveilles du monde.' It was hanging over a tent with a lot of people around it, and the finely dressed men at the entrance seemed to be running the show.
"It zeems zat dey have found the wonders of du world...inside. Do you want to go see?"
She asked him. Arielle had no idea what they would have inside, probably anything along the lines of a two headed turtle to a man who can squeeze water from a rock. It seemed interesting enough, which was evident of all of the people going in an out.

Cody continued to read the sign and tried to understand what was going on just by body language or other useful hints alone. This would be certianly very strange as it could be picked up by anyone as something different. This would conclude to Cody thus being as stupid as a rock for trying to even comprehend what the heck is going on. And that was the tough part. Of course, there was no way to tell directly what was going on right from the start of the attraction. And that was the odd part in itself, the fact that Cody was actually trying to comprehend what exactly WAS going on.
Oh well.. There was little hope for his brain anyway.
Regardless, this was where he would turn to the young girl for assistance. Obviously she was more of the expert in these kinds of situations.. Obviously.. Because she spoke and read French! Duh! And if you readers didn't know by now.. Well she was a lot more proficient than Cody by the least.
Even so..
His mind did wonder a few things, like.. Where was her family? Was she just out on her own trying to make new friends by herself? She was a brave one if she was, a really brave one at that. It was that quality that clearly seperated her from everyone else.
"It zeems zat dey have found the wonders of du world...inside. Do you want to go see?"
The wonders of the world? Really? They actually still carried those things around in small little tents. This perked the young man's interest, before perking into a smile. Or maybe this was some sort of gimmick, as shown.. There was no outside attractions after all, maybe this was some sort of crime or perhaps something really, really cheesy.
Yeah, cheesy sounds more like it. But heck, what the hey? Why not take her along. Perhaps they could both learn something new about each other's culture.
"Yeah! Let's go have a look!"
With that, Cody would eagerly force his way through the crowd to make way for the little French Tour Guide that was now his new friend.. And just so she wouldn't have that much trouble. After all, who wanted to mess with the guy in the starkingly hot jacket? Nobody.
Fun fun.
As soon as they made it to the door, there would be a man who would be directing the people.
However, before they were allowed to go in, there had to be a brief waiting period for the next group to exit after all, so Cody took it upon himself to examine the small posters and advertisements they had lined up for the show.
The first one of them was a picture of a guy eating a sword.
'Le mangeur étonnant d'épée'
The Amazing Sword Eater.
Followed by the traditional Bearded Lady, didn't need an explination for that one.
But the last one.. The last one was the one that caught Cody's eye the most! He pointed out, holding himself from laughing out loud but chuckling to Arielle still..
"Hey! Check that one out!"
'Le hamster et la grenouille humains étonnants'
The Amazing Hamster Human and Frogman!
Cody couldn't help but laugh, this was going to be an interesting attraction.
"Wow, I don't think I've ever seen anything like that here!"
He stated to Arielle, with great curiosity, still trying to hold his laugh in.
".. Do they really have those things in France?!"
