Katsuri had been contemplating the current position he was in. Gabriel had decided that they would be moving into place soon, and that meant he was going to need to hunker down and begin training the people he had gathered up. The thought of putting them in harms way made him sick to his stomach though. Kevala, Amber, Mistukai, Drea. He did not think he could put a single one of them on the front line, but he had to show that he was amassing his own private army, even if it was of people he had the intentions of protecting.
Either way, he would have to get the show on the road sometime, it just did not mean he had to like it. A puff of that cigarette was taken, the tip smoldering a bright orange and slowly fading into gray as a sizeable hunk of the paper and tobacco inside disappeared into his lungs. Removing the thing from his lips, he exhaled in a loud sigh and glanced back down at the message he had sent the poor girl. For now he just wanted to talk, but the training he had in mind would whip them into shape quick.. even if it was harsh.
He was sitting ontop of what looked to be a rather tall building, a few other tables around him, and an open bar with a bartender behind it. This was a rooftop café. The resturaunt was below, and food was sent up, and there was usually a few other people in the place, but not today. The eight foot man had scared off everyone but the tender.

Drea stared up at the tall building from the ground below. She checked her phone once more. Yep, this was the right place. She sighed. She hoped she didn't look to out of place. She'd dressed a little differently from usual since she'd been in a more public location than high school, so she was wearing a form fitting, dark red blouse with a new pair of jeans that had been still warm from the dryer when she'd put them on. Sneakers and a wristwatch - and a small backpack over her shoulder - completed the look. Her hair? Well, her long hair had been braided and then looped up into a bun.
She stepped into the building and took the elevator up to the top floor, unsure of what it was her protector had called her for. She thought it might be to talk about teaching her to fight - which she really did need - but it could be any number of things... and if he was going to, wouldn't Kevala be there? Another moment reminded her that Kevala was pregnant, and then she shrugged.
Back to any mass of things, then. she thought, stepping out of the oversized elevator.
She was surprised to see that there was no one about - simply the bartender and Katsuri. Realizing how large he looked against the outline of the sky - as opposed to their usual scenery of buildings and trees and whatnot - she realized just how tall he was.
"K-Katsuri?" she called as she moved towards him. She was a bit nervous. After all, what if he'd meant for someone else to get the message?

A glance up from his phone would have had him meeting the gaze of the one whom he had sent the message to. Drea. An upturn, and a smile forming would have caused the man to slip that phone into his pocket, alongside that flask, and wave for her to come over and have a seat. “Mm. Rea. Its good to see you again.” His tone was soft, far more so then most people got from the large man, but that should not have been a real surprise, given the circumstances. Drea was unsure of herself, it showed in her voice, in her actions, it was not a mental problem. Katsuri was quite able to decipher body language, usually by stirring it on, but in this case, he could tell that the problems she had were in her upbringing.
The careful sense of manners, it almost sickened him, as he could envision the way she was taught, not to be a child, but rather to be a ‘mature’ adult while she should have been frolocking about with her friends at the mall or playing on Facebook, gushing about boys. Pah. He shifted his thought process and removed that cigarette from his lips, grinding it in the ashtray on his side of the table. ”Are you hungry?” He asked, figuring that it would be best if they had a little chat over food, as it often relaxed a person when they ate.

"Mm. Rea. It's good to see you again." the mammoth said, and Drea smiled up at him.
"It hasn't been so long that you should be saying something like that," she said cheerily. Several days of being looked after by the giant had taught her that his own limitations and rules were far less strict that her parents'. It meant that she could be a bit warmer and friendlier, and altogether a bit happier, than she might have to be at home.
"Are you hungry?" he asked, and she paused for a moment. It was true that she hadn't eaten - she'd had music lessons before breakfast, and then she'd been sent to her room without said breakfast for messing up during practice.
Lunch... Well, she'd tried to prepare lunch for her parents that day, but they'd been busy so she'd simply left the containers on the countertop, knowing that the servants would find some use for them. They seemed to like her cooking, though her parents frequently criticized her, explaining that she should never cook for someone other than her family for fear of what others might say.
Now that she thought of it, she hadn't eaten all day.
But it would be rude to eat before Katsuri unless he ate. She hoped he was hungry, but only shook her head, blushing when her stomach growled its protests at her rejection of food.

"Of course it has my dear little thing. " She got a bit of a chuckle from the large man, as it seemed she classified time apart in a different manner then he did. Not that it was a big deal just more information for the man to absorb about the small girl. Mannerisms, speech patterns, reactions, thought processes, they could compile into a singular appearance and of course just give him what he needed to sway her opinion.. the question had to be rather he would do such a thing or not.
Licking his lips over, he seemed to fade once more into the background, not speaking, not moving, the only thing visible on the man being that ever so slighty raise and fall of his chest, moving mere centimeters given the volume of his lungs and the oxygen content he could pull in. Why was he doing this? Well. The stomach growl was another tid bit of information the large man now had in his arsenal.. seemed she avoided the subject, which was cute, but old fashioned, meant her upbringing was probably the cause for it, as the influence around the school had a more urban flare.
"Mm. Sit, please." He rose from his own seat, and would have slipped around to the one opposite, pulling it out for her, figuring this was the appropriate course of action. If she took it, or if she moved to get hte seat herself before he got up.. well that would tell him even more. People may question just what you could gather from such small insignificant things.. well.. those people were stupid. Period.

She took her seat, even as he spoke out, not particularly caring to wait. She was just relieved he hadn't heard her stomach rumbling.
Directly after she was seated, she smoothed out the fabric of her pants before placing her hands together in her lap. The backpack, she'd set to the ground just to her left, not wanting to let it get too far away.
"What did you need, Katsuri? Is this about training?" she asked curiously. She assumed he had a reason for calling on her. More so because the area they were in remained secluded, although she supposed that could be because of his presence alone.
"Or, perhaps I'd be more correct to ask you what it is you want of me...?" she spoke again, this time with a slightly more confident feel. She couldn't be sure that he wanted her, per se, but he wouldn't do this unless he wanted something from her, whether it was just her time to relax together or her capabilities. Of course... It wasn't as though anyone knew about them just yet, so there wasn't much to worry about there.
"Am I being too presumptuous?" she asked after a slight pause. She didn't, after all, want to offend him. Mind, it wasn't because she feared him that she didin't want to offend him, but because she liked having him as a friend and protector.
Besides, she was going off of a hunch. Deserted rooftop. Private meeting. That gave her several clues as to their actions, though she couldn't profess to say what, exactly they were. Just that they were too important to discuss casually in school, and yet important enough to talk about one on one.

As she sat, he would have slipped back into his own seat, smiling at her once more and just listening as she questioned why she had been brought to this place, probably tying into the fact that it was secluded, enclosed, and almost void of people. Did it occur to him about all of those things? Not really. He had not even been thinking about any of that when he had sent for her to come.. but now they were.
Her questions were legitimate ones, and he began to ask them to himself in his head, looking away and into the distance for a second as he considered it before a smile perked on his lips and he looked right back to her. "Mm. Well. To be honest, what I want from you is simple. I want YOU. Thats all. " A shrug of his shoulders, having relied once again on that whole 'You are my property' thing.
It explained how he felt quite well though. " With that comes the territory of training and wanting to make you as tough as nails.. it is just my nature. " He grinned and shrugged shoulders, waving hands slightly for the bar tender to send someone up from the resturaunt below to get their orders. "After all, what good would you be to me, if you were not able to show some promise of strength?.. even though I do enjoy protecting you quite a bit."
Which again, was the truth, as he did quite enjoy carrying her little body in his arms away from a battlefield.. he had done so before, but with that territory came the same thoughts he always had, and those probably would have had the poor girl fainting given her reaction to the kiss he had given her the first time they met.

"Mm. Well. To be honest, what I want from you is simple. I want YOU. Thats all." he said to her with a shrug. "With that comes the territory of training and wanting to make you as tough as nails.. it is just my nature. After all, what good would you be to me, if you were not able to show some promise of strength?.. even though I do enjoy protecting you quite a bit." He moved in a way that puzzled her until she realized he was summoning a waiter.
Drea looked up at him, evaluating his words. "You want me," she said, "Which gives me the illusion that you haven't got me yet. And yet you're kind enough to look out for me." Her talk with Kevala had been quite enlightening, after all. Drea wasn't naive, though she might be inept when it came to pop culture and whatnot.
"That indicates I have something you want, doesn't it?" she said. It was a daring question for her, though it might have been a casual one for anyone else. "You don't have to answer that now if you don't want to."
Training, though... She wasn't stupid. She knew she needed it. At least he'd admitted it was more of a personality thing than anything else... But what did he intend to use her for? She wondered if it was a slip of the tongue, his reference to how useful she might be to him.
"I acknowledge that I need training," she concluded, "But I won't be used for a purpose I cannot advocate."
After all, it was true. She'd learned that particularly unfortunate lesson long ago, and she really did like Katsuri - he was kind and protective, and very nice - but she didn't want to become someone's tool.

Well. This was interesting, as the girl did not seem to understand what he was saying.. and that got a grin, a nice big one, plastered right across those pretty little lips...er... big lips of the behemoth sitting opposite of her. A waiter would have poofed into existence from the door leading up, carrying a tray with two waters, two straws, and a neat little pad that he used to write down their orders.
Katsuri glanced to him, and then back to Drea, knowing the man would wait, as they did not want to piss off the eight foot man o' muscle. "Call it what you will, I have not gotten you yet in my eyes. " He looked her over again and smiled. "After all, do you get weak in the knees when you look at me?" Maybe she would have gotten that reference. By that respect, Kevala was the only one currently in such a state.. even though he was working on such a thing with Mitsukai as well.
"Until I make you feel such things, then you are not mine. At least in my eyes." He shrugged his shoulders and would have looked over to the waiter, smiling. "I'll have the new york strip, rare, and the seafood platter. " Weird choice? You could say that, but he enjoyed the taste of a bloody steak, and he really wanted the seafood.. clams, shrimp, fresh albacore from what it looked like, and oysters. Mmm. He rested back. "The lady will have whatever she wants, but please bring us a bottle of your best Bordeaux."
Heh. Wine with dinner was perfectly alright, especially considering children in other countries often had it as young as seven or eight. Granted. Unless she understood her wine she would have had no idea that Bordeaux had a high alcohol content in comparison to other wines.

Drea vaguely heard the sound of footsteps before the stopped. Turning, she saw it was the waiter. And then Katsuri spoke, and she paid him her attention once more.
"Call it what you will, I have not gotten you yet in my eyes." He was smiling at her. Well, at least she knew he wasn't angry with her... and he'd denied her query. "After all, do you get weak in the knees when you look at me?"
At this, she raised an eyebrow. "No...? Am I supposed to be?" she asked, confused. That.. didn't make sense to her. Why would she get weak knees when seeing him? The only thing she felt was glee, and that glee was from seeing a friend. It was the same sort of enthusiasm she felt whenever she ran into her sister.
"Until I make you feel such things, then you are not mine. At least in my eyes."
At this, she grew even more puzzled. Why would he have to make her feel such things? And why did he want her in the first place? Now that was a question to be asked.
He ordered his food, and she ordered her own just after he, not oblivious to his order of wine.
"I'd like to take a sirloin steak, please, medium rare, and with a baked potato." It was a pretty common choice for her. She liked her steaks to be soft - she hated when they were ridiculously hard to chew through. Besides, the rarer they were, the juicier they tended to be.[/color]"
After making her order, she turned back to Katsuri, privately wondering if he wanted to get her drunk. She'd had her study of wines long ago when her parents had first begun to take her to dinner parties and whatnot to present her to their peers.
She noted that the waiter was leaving before asking her question.
"I must admit that I'm curious, but why do you want me?"

He did not flinch, not even as she ordered, or seemed to be a little.. off in his presence. No. He just watched her in a almost uncaring manner. Those eyes locked on her face, and just so slight a smile across his lips, seemed he had long since been relaxed and was considering all manner of things to take care of. Still, she said she was not weak in the knees, which gave him the information he wanted, and she'd have found a slight shake of his head and a bit of a chuckle a moment later.
"Mm. I suppose not, I have not attempted to woo you as I have others.. so its probably best I attempt that before asking such a thing. " He would have nodded his head and watched as the waiter disappeared back down into the building. The bar tender went as well, leaving just him and her there on that roof, the sun slowly setting in the background. "Still. I could not have asked for a more beautiful backdrop for such a conversation.. "
The question now, was why DID Katsuri care about Drea in such a way, as the girl seemed to be so unsure of herself... it was kind of cute actually, so maybe that was why he felt as he did. Still. He had to respond to her, and he just shook his head and smiled. "You know. You can ask that all you want.. but the simple fact of it is, you are worth more than you give yourself credit for. Not to mention, you are cute you know."
It was the truth, regardless of how she viewed herself, she was far from homely. A cute little thing, so full of innocence.. and she had a split personality that seemed to be a little less naive then she was herself. It was nice.

"Mm. I suppose not, I have not attempted to woo you as I have others.. so its probably best I attempt that before asking such a thing."
The first thought that went through her head was fairly easy to guess at: Woo her to do what?
Still, attempt to do it? She briefly wondered if she'd have to keep her guard up around him. Since she had no real idea of what he was planning, she supposed that was best. Of course, that didn't mean she'd start being abrupt with him or anything like that. After all, it wasn't as though they'd stop being friends or anything.
"Still. I could not have asked for a more beautiful backdrop for such a conversation.."
Now that was something she could agree with, and she said as much. "I couldn't agree more. It's quite pretty."
His next move was to answer her other important question: "You know. You can ask that all you want.. but the simple fact of it is, you are worth more than you give yourself credit for. Not to mention, you are cute you know."
She straight out blushed at his words, not having expected the 'cute' comment. Still, she was puzzled. "I don't understand. How am I worth something?" For anyone else, that might have been a compliment-seeking question, but for Drea? It was a sincere and puzzled query.

Watching the blush slip onto her face he could not help but shake his head and laugh just slightly. It was cute, beyond reason, as she seemed to be quite oblivious to the fact that she was an attractive young woman. Made him wonder what he would have gotten if.. "Do you think your sister is pretty?" Oh. He was a sneaky fucker. If she replied without thinking, he knew the answer that was going to slip out of her lips before she did, and well, it would have gotten him the exact thing he wanted.
Drawing back into his chair, he would have reached into his pocket and pulled out that silver flask, unscrewing the cap, downing a good quick swig of it, and setting it down on the table cap off. That gaze back on her.. If she had answered in that short time, well, then he would have reacted, if on the other hand she took a minute to think about it, then he would have shaken his head again.
He moved on to that question of worth, as that one right there, that got him rather angry and amused at the same time. The girl was so unsure of herself that it clashed quite well with the ego machine that was sitting across from her, but at the same time, it pissed him off because the girl could not see her.. "Potential. As simple as that. You have the potential to be something great, and I would rather have that power under my hand, then rotting away in some corner because people want to consider you the maiden in need... ALL the time." A simple roll of his shoulders and he smiled at her, wondering if she understood what he meant.

"Do you think your sister is pretty?"
"Of course!" Drea responded, almost offended on the implication that Emily could be considered anything but beautiful. "Emily's one of the prettiest girls I know!" And that really meant a lot since she did come into contact with the fancy shmancy well-to-do girls quite frequently. "She's got to be the prettiest in the school, even...!" Drea trailed off, wondering why he'd asked, especially since he'd been in contact with her sister longer than she. "What... does she have to do with this?"
Then, some moments later, he spoke again. "Potential. As simple as that. You have the potential to be something great, and I would rather have that power under my hand, then rotting away in some corner because people want to consider you the maiden in need... ALL the time."
"I'd hardly rot away," she said quietly. "And power is what power can be. Aren't you afraid I'll turn on you?" She looked him in the eye, curious. It wasn't as though she'd turn on him without a really damned good reason - him being her guardian and all - but still.
She hadn't exactly missed his assumption that her potential would belong to him, either - under his hand and all.

When she spoke up about Emily being beautiful, he just shook his head and smiled. "You're identical twins." He glanced over to her again, wanting to see her reaction to that before he continued. "And I think Emily is beautiful as well, but given that you do.. surely you must understand that you are quite beautiful as well Rea. "
The big man was almost certain he was about to get the girl into a blushing spree, and the thought of that just got a good mood running all through his spine. Something about making a girl turn red and her cheeks flush with blood, just, made him feel great. It was part of the reason he had always been such a pervert, as he had known it to make girls turn red, either in being flustered or shy about the fact they enjoyed it.
"Turn on me?" He asked, his brow raised up, the girl getting a grin as he leaned in towards her. "Up until now, many people have said they would.. but no one has. You see. I pick those in my inner circle... VERY... carefully. If you manage to get into my inner circle.. and turn on me. I will kill you." His tone was as if he were reciting a shopping list, uncaring as those words slipped from his lips, and yet, it was as serious as serious could get.
