Drea really didn't like Halloween when it mixed with parties. She didn't mind parties - they were quite fun at times and boring at others. Nor did she mind Halloween itself - it was fun to dress up in different costumes, and even to eat candy. It was always great fun for her anyways. She liked pretending she was someone else, and although some candies were gross, others were tasty.
But she didn't like them when they meshed together. As for why? Well, mostly because it was hard to tell who was who, and it also meant that it was much easier to have those that had ill intentions to blend into the masses of bystanders and innocents.
As it was, she'd already been kidnapped three or four times, only for her guards to have to hunt her down. Really, though - couldn't they kidnap her mother or something? And that was nothing in comparison to the number of attempts that had been made.
She'd once asked her parents why they cut down on the number of guards around Halloween. They told her it was because Halloween, being a descendant of All Hallow's Eve, was a religious holiday of sorts for some people. While she didn't doubt that it was, she wished that they weren't all her bodyguards.
Because of the repeated kidnappings, her name kept appearing in the papers, and she wished it didn't - it kept drawing attention to her parents and she was starting to feel like a failure for continually appearing in the news.
So, of course, she texted the one person that she knew could help her.
Once she'd sent the message, she dressed comfortably - stretchy pants, and a T-shirt with sneakers - and put another fifty dollars in her wallet.
Then, she headed to the yogurt shop to wait, ordering the same things that they'd had last time. She wasn't worried about them melting as she waited - she and ice cream had never had that problem.
She refused to get kidnapped at another Halloween party. Again.

Reading a book, as always - Emily would be lounging at home studying. Home was a quiet place to be, and it was nice to not be so close to the first few floors where kids would basically rap at the doors and demand their share of candy. Em hadn't been able to buy some, so there. Too bad for them, she supposed. Maybe next year.
Or the year after that.
Or the year after that...
...
Emily picked up her phone just after hearing a little tune. It was from Drea - and as promised, she asked for training. Taking a deep breath, she would fix herself up - a nice shower, some clean clothes (a shirt-blouse, some black jeans and her old wooden sandals.
None of her stuff today. The way Drea is, she didn't need them.
She would make her way down the long flight of stairs and out where Emily would walk all the way from home to that yogurt shop. When she arrived, she would look around to see her sister on a table, yogurt already in hand.
"Ready?"

Drea looked up as her sister approached and smiled. She got to her feet, offering the yogurt to her sister, and greeted her. Part of her was pleased that her sister had responded so quickly, and another part of her was simply pleased that she was seeing her sister again. It was still very strange to know that they were sisters. After all, they lived separately and everything.
"Hi," she said as her sister came near, grinning.
"Ready?" Emily asked her.
"Yes," Drea responded. "At the same place as before? Or perhaps the training facilities in my home?"
She'd set up one of her rooms to double as a training room, which made things quite a bit easier - she could practice on her own now, without looking like a complete and total fool. In front of others anyways.

"Yes, At the same place as before? Or perhaps the training facilities in my home?"
Emily chuckled as she took her yogurt and sat down, more or less still quite amazed at how rich Drea seemed to be. Training Facilities at home? That was quite interesting, and it reminded her of Ryuu...
...
That day where they more or less trained and...
...
Shaking off a blush, Emily took a spoonful into her mouth and took it in. Obviously, the girl was in a panic. "A-ah, Brainfreeze." She said, waiting a few seconds. "Um... I think it's best if we use our last training field. It's the closest we have to the school setting."
Emily would be holding her head gently with one hand, oh boy. She definitely wasn't one to have such a rush after eating something so cold.
"Aye," She said. "How's school going though?"

"A-ah, Brainfreeze." her sister said after her quick intake of the treat.
Drea blushed. "Sorry. It's probably because I held onto it..." She did, after all, naturally freeze things.
"Um... I think it's best if we use our last training field. It's the closest we have to the school setting." Drea observed Emily hold her head. Her sister probably wasn't used to cold things. Oops. It could've been worse though. It could always be worse.
"Aye, how's school going though?"
At that, Drea grinned, thinking of the boy that she'd begun tutoring just the other day. "School's fine. I'm tutoring, now!" It was obvious that she enjoyed her studies. "I'm tutoring a boy called Cody. Cody Travers. He seemed a bit off when he first saw me." Drea cocked her head to the side. "Do you know him?"
She hummed for a moment as she took another bite of her own treat, nodding to her sister. "And, as always, I've got all A's. How about you?"

Emily smiled weakly, the brainfreeze still holding her up even as her Qi now started to warm the poor soft ice into mush, again. Frozen sweets were sometimes a hassle to eat, but then again - the end result's the one that matters, probably.
It was nice to hear that her sister was helping students out; and imagine the little grin on Emily's face when Drea said she was tutoring a boy. She did know Cody Travers, though unfortunately - the name was quite unfamiliar to her.
"The name's familiar." She said, still grinning; keeping her thoughts to herself for that little bit of time. "All A's." Emily chuckled a bit, taking a peach onto her mouth and chewing softly - swallowing before she started again. "As I am right now, I can enter any college I want - plus, I can get myself accelerated by two years -- three years tops. Or I could take the Nursing Board exam as soon as I graduate just for the heck of it."
She chuckled to herself. "I'd still take college though. I kinda like studying..."
Boy, was that going to be some credential in her resume, huh?

"The name's familiar," her sister said. Drea cocked her head to the side, curious.
"Oh?"
Then her sister went on to explain how her studies were going. "All A's. As I am right now, I can enter any college I want - plus, I can get myself accelerated by two years -- three years tops. Or I could take the Nursing Board exam as soon as I graduate just for the heck of it."
Emily chuckled to herself. "I'd still take college though. I kinda like studying..."
Drea blinked. She wondered if she, too, could be accelerated, but her low self-esteem denied it. Though her grades were on the same level as her sister's, she herself likely wouldn't push the subject... But... She couldn't stop the murmured question from coming out: "...I wonder if I could also be accelerated...?"
Of course, there was another idea that stuck to her. "Nursing? You plan on being a nurse?"
Drea didn't look down on the idea or anything, but it did surprise her. Most of the nurses she'd come across, male or female, were quite nice - and certainly comforting - but she hardly saw any of them as vivacious as her sister. She couldn't imagine it... But she supposed it sort of made sense. Her sister was kind - far kinder than she - and she would probably enjoy helping people.

"Oh?"
Em laughed. "I think so; Yeah." She said, before the idea popped into her head. "Oh, right. He was that guy that told me where... an old friend... was."
Old friend - yeah, right. This so-called "Old Friend' was none other than "Unfettered" Winters. A man of which this white-haired girl held a lot of unrequited feelings for. For one, she was quite thankful that Cody had told her about Winters when he did.
But enough of that.
"...I wonder if I could also be accelerated...?" Emily nodded.
"With your study habits and marks; I'm quite sure you can."
"Nursing? You plan on being a nurse?"
Emily had a soft smile on her lips at the mention of planning on being a nurse. Yeah, she would be at the point of being a nurse already if she wanted to. School would be merely formalities at this point, but there are reasons of which why formalities exist. "Yeah," She said. "I do."

"I think so; Yeah." Emily affirmed, "Oh, right. He was that guy that told me where... an old friend... was."
Drea smiled. "Ah! So he helped you. That means he must be a good person, ne?"
Then, Emily suggested that she could, indeed, be accelerated with her with the remark of "With your study habits and marks; I'm quite sure you can."
Then, Drea was pleased to see a smile forming on her sister's face. "Yeah, I do." That smile told her plenty. Her sister truly enjoyed nursing. That was good. She would do her best to ensure her sister reached her goal. Of course, it being her sister, she had no doubt that Emily was probably much closer to it than she thought.
"That's good," she said, nodding. She smiled, pleased because her sister was pleased. "I have no idea what I want to do..."
She bit down on a peach.

That's good, I have no idea what I want to do..." Emily smiled, placing her spoon onto the empty bowl. Well, now that food was done and over with, there was the opportunity to start with what they had gone here to begin with - Training.
"Don't rush yourself." Emily said, "Things like that can come later. We're not graduating until next September anyways."
Emily looked around a bit though, wondering where she could find a glass of water. Only to remember that she did bring along a bottle on her bag. Yeah.
"You said you wanted to train again today?"
Sorry, short post.

Drea finished her yogurt, setting the spoon next to the cup.
"Don't rush yourself. Things like that can come later. We're not graduating until next September anyways." her sister said to her. She nodded.
"I know that, but it feels like I'm so far behind. You've got it all planned out, and I don't even know what I want to do." Drea chuckled wryly. "My parents would love you."
And then she focused on Emily's next words: "You said you wanted to train again today?"
Drea nodded. "If you don't mind, please?"

"I know that, but it feels like I'm so far behind. You've got it all planned out, and I don't even know what I want to do. My parents would love you.[/color]"[/i]
Emily smiled weakly, poking at her sister's nose at her little comment. "Naw~." She said, "Between you and me, the only reason why I took Nursing was that I really don't have a dream of my own. Miss Clavering suggested this to me. I didn't like it at first but..."
She trailed off; just grinning a little sleepishly. Emily remembered that faithful day Layla and her met again after she had been trafficked into American land. Yeah, that day was most life-changing...
Then came the topic of training, of which her sister replied, with a nod: "If you don't mind, please?"
Emily nodded, standing up. "Come. Let's get started."
As Emily and Drea would exit the Yogurt shop, Emily took something from her pocket and popped it into her mouth. Medicine, most likely. That wouldn't matter though, because as soon as Emily and Drea set foot on the empty lot, the white-haired Filipina would basically pull off her gear, leaving her at the same state of which she trained she fought with Drea first.
Emily would smile, positioning herself into a defensive stance. "Your move, Drea."

"Nyeh!" the sound slipped from her as her sister poked her.
"Naw~. Between you and me, the only reason why I took Nursing was that I really don't have a dream of my own. Miss Clavering suggested this to me. I didn't like it at first but..."
It made her feel a bit better - she wasn't so far behind after all. Still, though, no matter the means and whatnot, Emily's future had been planned.
Where was hers?
Still, they agreed to head out, and Emily popped something into her mouth as they left. Soon enough, they'd gotten to the same place they'd practiced the last several times.
"Your move, Drea." her sister said after falling into a stance. She'd removed all of her equipment, but Drea wasn't deluded. Her sister would still probably defeat her. Even with her stuff, Drea couldn't beat her sister. Not at her current state, anyways.
Drea grinned, though, in good cheer.
Without bothering to take a stance, she moved in, falling into a sort of pseudo-defensive and partially offensive take. She wasn't sure what to call it.
One arm guarded the torso, and the legs could stand by themselves. The other arm was swiftly reaching out in a feinted punch to Emily's stomach. She'd switch over to a kick just before impact, aiming for her twin's stomach.

It was true, though; Drea would not be able to defeat her sister today. However, that was not the point of this meeting. For one, Emily found responsibility in making sure that her sister was safe; this was a way of her helping that goal - making her stronger and more able to defend herself.
After all, being the Leader of Regalia, she had to at least do something to help her comrades grow. Her sister quickly rushed forward, doing a psuedo-punch to "distract" Emily from an oncoming kick. It was similar to Emily's own style of fighting, so the white-haired girl couldn't help but just smile. Emily would not move, but merely allow the hit to happen.
She coughed for a second before Emily would grab Drea by the foot, pulling her towards her in an attempt to knock her out of balance without any intention of letting go either way. After all, kicks were dangerous in the sense that it makes your body dependent on one leg for it's center of gravity; not really the best idea against stronger opponents.
"Your body isn't fast enough for moves like this, but it is a start." She said, "Find that if you lose your legs, you must rely on your arms."
A metaphor~!?
Let's see how Drea interprets that into her fighting.

Drea scowled as her sister took the blow. She knew Emily wasn't so foolish... But she had wanted to try the move. Her discontent quickly changed into a smile as her sister took hold of her foot and yanked.
"Your body isn't fast enough for moves like this, but it is a start. Find that if you lose your legs, you must rely on your arms."
Drea used her other leg to vault herself at her sister, guessing that the sudden weight and position change would force her to lose her grip. She brought her arms forward to land on Emily's shoulders to use as a landing pad of sorts. She'd break free and complete the flip over her sister as soon as her leg was within her control once more. She'd back away a bit, wary. Still, a grin was firmly in place. She liked this, somehow. It felt more primal - and right. In comparison to her life of monotonous obedience anyways.
Once she got away, she'd speak.
"I know," Her eyes would gleam. "I've sparred with Mitsukai one too many times to forget that little nugget of truth."
