Preparations, the slow and casual span of time slowly cascading over your subconscious frame. A stern look at the base of the quick moving van as Sky's masked face shifted about bitterly, he hated resorting to this but there was little to no choice here. Early in the morning there was a call made to Emily's household saying that her sister was in the hospital. Now Sky rode with his associates in a kidnap van speeding perilously close to the sidewalk.
*Swoosh*
A cluster of hands reached out towards the woman siezing her up by the waist, arms and neck dragging her off the ground and throttling her into the back of the van with a rough shove as they all barrelled in their to tie off her limbs and gag her to keep silent.
*Screech!*
The vehicle easily took off at full throttle down an adjacent corridor of the city, unnoticed by many of the busy civilians on their busy days.

Emily was confused, not by the term people would usually associate with swirly eyes - but she was not aware of her surroundings, at all. The only thing she remembered was getting a call from the hospital saying that her sister was admitted...
... it was quite suspicious because it didn't follow protocol at all, but never the less - Emily didn't take the chance. She remembered running down all seven flights of stairs and then---
Emily groaned as she felt everything around her moving; unaware still that she was in a fast-moving vehicle until much later on.
...
"Mmmmph!?" She said; which would've been her exclaiming "WHAT THE?", only muffled by the gag.
What the heck was going on here?

Sky stood in the vehicle, the sides tilting and swaying in assorted directions rapidly. A hand came to the roof to steady his wavering hips. Sky crossed the threshold where two men held Emily down. A solid boot would be planted into her face roughly to knock her out swiftly and without much of a struggle, unless of course she found a means of evasion. 3:24 pm. The three masked men would sit casually around the woman now tied down by rusty chains. A cobblestone floor shaped in a cylindrical building, the only light trickling in from an off par windowsill. Two of the men chuckled aimlessly on some subject on football game going on up stairs while the third man sat there watching Emily with interest. "She's awake..." The two men nearly pounced from their positions getting to the work table peeling away the old rust on them making use of themselves. The third man would sigh briefly coming to a lazy stand before kneeling over to look Emily in the eyes with a crimson glance. "Emily... How are we today?" He'd make a wry smile behind the black mask using a free hand to release the gag and a safety check tug at the chains.

Again... she was brought to sleep by violence.
Hearing small chuckles that more or less made her a little wary. Emily was half-awake, but she wasn't stupid enough to realize that she, of all people, was kidnapped.
...
For the second time in her life? Interesting. The men would notice her consciousness and the third man knelt before her, looking at her in the eyes.
"Emily... How are we today?"
Masks...
...
The young-sounding voiced man would take off her gag, more or less making Emily move her jaw a bit to regain some level of control over it. After all, she couldn't move it for the last few hours. Damn it.
She chuckled darkly. "Quite well, yourself?" Some light sarcasm there, but still...

Funny, hardly a flinch almost as though she had some experience in this field. Had Scene been kidnapping ridiculous amounts of random students recently. Part of him would believe that to be quite honest though he was going to be far worse than that man this time around. A small grin from beneath the mask as her questions was asked.
"Well, quite well I'd heard from a birdy that you were in the market of getting stronger... However there are interests in favor of you not becoming so my day has gotten a bit more dismal.."
He ranted on shortly as the white haired male handed him a long iron rod, the end of it heated to a smoldering orange cue. Sky danced the metal around in his hand slowly looking at the tool of torture with little glee but he was more interested in Emily's reaction.
"Now... this is the real nasty part because we have your sister in an adjacent room now I don't know what they're doing to her but... over the last few hours it hasn't sounded to great...."
A sudden scream came from the adjacent room, blood curdling as if death had befallen someone. The small piece of heated iron in Sky's hand would be pressed lightly against Emily's neck before he recoiled hoping he hadn't caused too much damage to start, this was to be a slow process.
"I want to know what you know Emily... then maybe we can let her go..." He nudged to the adjacent room.

Emily watched this man's movements keenly, almost like a hawk. This was no different than what she experienced in the correctional facility - only a little intentional more than self-brought. This was all a little silly. In Emily's mind, there was little reason for her to be kidnapped. That is, unless--
"Well, quite well I'd heard from a birdy that you were in the market of getting stronger... However there are interests in favor of you not becoming so my day has gotten a bit more dismal.."
Just great. Just absolutely great.
OHAY ISN'T THAT A FUCKING HOT ROD!?
Her attention was mildly taken a bit by the hot metal that was being played around by a white-haired male. She could feel her heart pounding as she slightly felt nervous for her own life, as any person would - but refused to say anything or even show a speck of emotion. She knew the cost.
However, the next thing she heard would bring her to the brink of---
"Now... this is the real nasty part because we have your sister in an adjacent room now I don't know what they're doing to her but... over the last few hours it hasn't sounded to great...."
Emily's eyes opened wide, her efforts to hide her anger plummetting as she heard a scream of infinite pain. It was Drea, wasn't it? Her little sister! Emily's face formed into anger, the cloths tying her into captivity more or less starting to burn lightly. Emily flinched as the masked man's hand touched her by the neck, pulling away.
"I want to know what you know Emily... then maybe we can let her go..."
Emily growled a bit, trying to control the anger boiling within her. She knew what that anger led to - and that was something she never exactly welcomed with open arms. God Damn it.
"Fine." She said, "...What do you want to know? Just let my sister go, and I'll cooperate."
A little quick, but Emily's heart was more or less set on protecting her sister. The poor, poor Drea who had never exactly felt as much physical pain as she had during her stay in such a violent school - and Emily hoped that Drea wouldn't have to.

Gabriel watched the brave face she put on with interest as a low sizzle of the metal chains holding her down reacted to her sudden fury. Good he was getting somewhere, now he needed to press further, and break her down completely to the basic standpoint where nothing truly mattered, or at least she'd be able to stand and call herself leader, heroine.
"You're very brave in keeping such a face up... however It won't save you... being brave."
He'd jab her again with the heated rod this time on her shoulder and this time rougher and with a bit of malice behind the jolt.
"I want to know... where is "Unfettered" Winters?" A cool smile on the man's face as another subtle scream escaped the adjacent room.

Emily mildly hissed as she felt the metal basically brand itself onto her flesh. She was used to burns, but she slightly wondered how long she could keep this up without dealing horrible damage to her body.
"I want to know... where is "Unfettered" Winters?"
...
So, this was all about him, huh?
Still feeling quite the burn in her shoulder, and her eyes red with slight irritation she would chuckle weakly. "No idea." She answered bluntly. It was quite half-truth. Though she knew where he could be found, she wasn't willing at all to share the information she had.
No.
Emily was far, far stubborn to bother her own sake. Drea, on the other hand... was a strong woman. She can hold on - or so Emily hoped. She prayed hard, even through her pain that her sister would be alright.
"Go ask his girlfriend or something." She said sternly, still restraining herself. Discipline was something she was very well-versed at. Besides, turning her back on someone she considered a comrade - no, someone more than that - would be the death of her.
She would rather live her life in pain than to betray that.

Strong willed yet again. Unfortunately that would resolve in getting them nowhere. He thought with a short laugh, alright that was a lie, they would be going back to the beginning except somehow this would turn out far more brutal than he'd hoped or even intended.
"Alright then I suppose I'll have to take your word for that..." Gabriel said standing as he went back towards the metal tray looking for a few instruments to 'Play' with.
"Could you perchance tell me what that chain says that dangles around your wrist?"
Gabriel pulled forth a small set of pliers, this was something he'd never hoped for, something cruel. But it'd take resolve on both their ends to come out stronger.
He'd turn back around slowly looking at the arm noosed behind the metal chains scetched in deep spelling out the word.
"Pride."
With a single nudge Gabriel dropped back to the floor a taut grip around Emily's hand and the other pulling the pliers at her finger nails. He'd start by removing one forcefully, the other's would be slowly more inclined.
"For each sin you commit, you shall be punished... is that understood? Take it a sort of training."

"Alright then I suppose I'll have to take your word for that..." Emily watched carefully, not sure what this masked man had in mind, but... she had a bad feeling-- "Could you perchance tell me what that chain says that dangles around your wrist?"
Emily looked down a little shakily, to see a word that more or less shook her a bit. "Pride". Something Emily had to a certain degree.
Emily heard a little thump on the floor behind her... and then---
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!"
She screamed, crying out in agony as a nail was ripped off of her finger. That sort of thing was NOT fun at all. Her hands sizzled as the blood dripping from the said injury cauterized by itself....
But... it never got rid of the pain..
Emily breathed hard, her eyes barely opening. This was all like the CF... just... a lot more messed up...
"For each sin you commit, you shall be punished... is that understood? Take it a sort of training."
Emily breathed, her eyes a flaring green as she tried to block out the intense pain from her finger...
If she only knew that the fun had just started...

Did it get hot in here? Gabriel's attention flitted towards her injury surveying the cauterized would. Hmm it must have been her Qi, but this was his first chance at seeing it in some while. Back even to the days of his junior year he couldn't recall it being as potent, heat? flame, it was something of the sort but powerful nonetheless he hoped to an extent it shared a kinship to his own but then again the power of his plasma force was beyond his prior abilities.
"Interesting..." He spoke up slightly returning to the metal tray to retrieve a syringe.
"Now we're going to run a little test here.... I assume you rely primarily off your Qi, now lets see how long you'll endure the pain before your Qi comes into interrupt the venom running through your veins.."
With that Gabriel injected the thick syringe into her vein almost roughly as a trail of blood would leave her extended arm. After following through with his busy work he'd sit back and watch her pain wanting to be sure of all consequences before obliging to the cure.

"Interesting..." Emily took slow deep breaths, not even minding to look her captor in the eye as her pained eyes focused on her lap. She just had to get out of here. Though, she worried that if she did anything out of line, that her sister would have to suffer in her stead. No - she wouldn't let that happen.
"Now we're going to run a little test here.... I assume you rely primarily off your Qi, now lets see how long you'll endure the pain before your Qi comes into interrupt the venom running through your veins.."
Argh. Lethal Injection!? Shit. For Christ's sake that could be potassium cyanide or something akin to it - basically kill her in a second.
Emily cringed as the needle entered her vein, mentally slapping herself for having the thought that this man had horrible venipuncture skills. Even at this situation all she could think about was work, good grief.
She decided to wait until all the poison was in...
Every single drop...
None the less, her captor would find Emily slowly becoming pale as her body started to steam. In an attempt to destroy the poison, she more or less put her blood at a momentary boil.
With this, she had lost around a good eighth of her blood volume. Her pink skin slowly became bluish, but she was alive - barely.
Now, it was her kidney's turn to suffer, pain trolling from her lower back as it compensated for the large amount of necrotic tissue.
...
She really was slightly masochistic, wasn't she?

Apparently this would be getting them nowhere except for a weakened woman, it was a start, now it was almost certain she'd be less defiant and more broken down but of course Gabriel knew Emily about as well as most. Behind her girlish attractive appearance beat the heart of a warrior, something he planned on seeing appear here soon enough. This time around he'd be more gentle. There'd be an anti toxin in his hands now the slow gentle set in her veins once more to sweep away the nasty left overs. He'd bought her the chance at life again though having put her in that position gave him nothing in return.
"Emily you are weak, you lie there unable to help yourself, your sister, all this while your friends are endangering themselves weak themselves they lie scattered and broken. You are utterly useless."
Gabriel said in a dark malevolent voice hoping to break her here.
"There is a solution however, just like the vaccine I have admitted into you, I can help you gain the strength you desire, the power it takes to be a leader and save all that you know... Are you ready?" His voice dropping to a whisper now.
The cold clink of chains rolling about in the background rustling up any form of attention. By now it was just the two of them in the room. Everything else remained as it should be. Silent.

Pain.
Suffering.
Living hell - that was what Emily's life, by her descriptions was. She feared living as much as she feared death, if not more. Physical pain and abuse mattered less, even for someone as vain as Emily. Her body steamed and her mind bombarded with pain as her Qi began to go into overdrive; making her body heat up beyond her own control. It will only be a matter of time before Emily would spontaneously combust and---
Though - it wouldn't be soon before her captor decided to pull the a more effective card of his deck.
"Emily you are weak, you lie there unable to help yourself, your sister, all this while your friends are endangering themselves weak themselves they lie scattered and broken. You are utterly useless."
Weak...
She was always weak...
She had always been useless...
She had never really been of any use to anyone, even back then in Militia. She was the first to answer his call, and yet he never made her do anything. Was she truly this incapable? Was she just--
"There is a solution however, just like the vaccine I have admitted into you, I can help you gain the strength you desire, the power it takes to be a leader and save all that you know... Are you ready?"
...
Emily paused, her eyes closing. There was no surrender; but she was hungry for worth, his attention; that someday she wouldn't have to be this way...
To be so god-damned weak...
"Shut up." She said, almost weakly; yet no less strong of will. "Just do whatever you want to do."

The sudden bolts of power snapping on in the background as a door behind Emily gave way. There was something more to this chamber of mistrust and torture, something that had been planned only recently. Of course behind it all there was no marionette pulling the strings of the many puppets he'd sewn instead what lie there was a woman with all the power she'd ever need in her hands.
"I give you the power to take a life...do with it what you may but understand that there are two sides to power."
Gabriel fell to his knees the blade Gilgamesh had given to him months before sheathed inside it's encasing. There was a blade of legacy with the power to end him. It was entrusted in Emily's hands. Gabriel handed it to her freely as he unlatched the sins that weighed her down.
No words to say any longer, he'd lived life and understood it completely and he hoped that Emily could understand what power was. Even if his life was the very thing to be weighed.
