Aftershock The coffee shop, a usual setting for a Sunday afternoon, once past morning coffee and now skipped forward towards the afternoon as Jayr sat complacently in a spring dress her hands wrapped tightly around the mug she was handed. She didn't worry that she was under fire just yet, having now a multitude of titles under her belt and a slight following to be called upon at one time or another, those things she feared would bring her contempt. Though all things came in due time she was sure now it was time to relax.
Her eyes rolling into a low dipped hue looking at the sizzling black surface of the coffee staring back at her without the use of eyes, rather taking upon the reflection of her own cerulean shade a bit murkier as they seeped into another train of thought.
The incidents that'd taken place but a few days ago, the small riot taking place in the cafeteria was certainly a tweak in Jayr's over all position. She couldn't stop it, but then again she sort of asked for such a reaction imposing one of their wills upon the group. It was a stupid move. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Jayr felt herself repeating in her head as she replayed the incident over and over like a video. She wanted to work her way through it and find a solution like it was but an easy math problem but didn't know where to start. Her focus on Shugo that day was present, as was her disappointment in Kiyoshi.
She moped, Kiyoshi was definitely to blame but what he said triggered a thought process in her mind. Maybe there was a way after all to please as many people as possible, all the while keeping order and yes even justice. Kiyoshi had a point. And the stubbornness aside she was willing to admit her wrong doings. If only she knew how to contact him.

Through the city streets Kiyoshi roamed this afternoon without much a care to consider, dressed in a pair of black jeans, boots, and a form-fitting neon blue shirt with a long left sleeve and no right one. On this little stroll there wasn't a care in the world. An advantage to the way his mind worked was the ability to push aside anything that was no immediately relevant to the moment, only when he wished them would any heavier concerns come forward. It was as if until the moment they were summoned... they didn't exist, not even at the corners of his mind. They do say ignorance is bliss.
However this would all be brought to an end as through his cyan-tinted sunglasses, the young man spied one of the parties during the riot/philosophical battle. Jayr... or at least it looked like her from the currently large distance between where she sat inside a coffee shop and he stood across the street. It had been a double take moment to actually get him to notice, you know you think you see someone you know and look back to check... this time Kiyoshi had. However still not entirely convinced he made his way over, becoming more and more certain as he approached and entered the shop. She looked deep in thought so there was a chance she had not noticed him, despite his shirt, and there was an aura of... melancholy. As much as he would deny it, that bothered Kiyoshi. So to break this mood and hopefully bring out a smile, he crept up behind where she sat and placed his hands gently on her shoulder while leaning down to speak to her.
"You know... I thought it felt colder today, maybe you should smile and warm us all up."
Oh yeah... Kiyoshi had a million of them. Now there was a chance that Jayr would be startled by his approach, just like there was a chance he'd be caught. The risk with the startle would be that her coffee could very well end up in his face but it was well worth the burning risk. Kiyoshi always the gambler. After his little line and being acknowledge, he would give a big almost goofy grin as part of his cheering-up attempt.

Nothing like a jump to wake you up. Jayr's vision dismally treaded off, her eyes glazed over the mug misty as they crossed the street watching the randoms walk back and forth without realization that they were there. She was just as simple as that, relaxed. Then of course there was always something to break that warm place as a pair of hands settled on her shoulders. Jayr would quickly jump in her seat lurching up fighting the reaction to fling the mug letting it settle in her other hand preventing the heated substance inside from dousing them both in the tethered heat.
"You know... I thought it felt colder today, maybe you should smile and warm us all up."
Jayr looked of fright but it broke quickly as Kiyoshi played a masterful line. It did make her feel the warmth return after all settling back down in her seat raising a finger from her mug to point to the chair opposite of her.
"I was going to get mad at you for sneaking up on me but you cheated."
Jayr smiled. The ideal that she was more mad with him about sneaking up on her than for starting a riot in itself was a speculative gesture from her but let alone showing no signs of anger at all. She'd nestle back in her chair bringing her feet up to the seat under her pulling her legs in tight weaving an arm around her knees before resting the arm which cradled the coffee in hand on her knees.
"So I've been meaning to ask you something."
Straight to the point, always a decisive factor with her when she wanted something after all. It would be insulting otherwise to steal away his time, unless of course Kiyoshi just wanted to hang out.

So his gamble had worked... no coffee in the face and Jayr broke a smile. Kiyoshi followed the pointed finger to the open seat while laughing lightly at the cheating comment. That all depended on the rules of the game, didn't it? Regardless the Japanese male slumped himself quite casually into the chair with slouched posture while Jayr started to curl herself up on the opposite side of the table. Something still seemed to be weighing on her mind despite the upturn in her mood... that was soon guaranteed when she directly pointed out that she had something to ask him.
"Ask me something?... Sure, shoot."
Kiyoshi quickly gave the go ahead without a second thought, after all he had no earthly idea what could be on her mind considering he lacked telepathy. Now if he hadn't pushed much of the riot dealings aside it might have been far more obvious, but as mentioned they were gone for the moment. Perhaps that is what kept him from becoming a full blown monster like many others. Focusing too long on destroying something that was virtually indestructible during some of the formative years of your life could easily consume a mere teenager into a dark place where destruction was all that matter. At least that was one way to look at it. The other was that those monsters were already monster and merely got to show as such under the system. Both had little evidence to back them up.
Either way, Kiyoshi gazed at Jayr awaiting whatever her question might be in his rather relaxed position. Hell as far as he knew she could ask for marriage or to eat his liver while he was alive, again no telepathy. Though if given the choice of those two extreme options... he'd have to go with the first. Having his liver eaten sounded more unpleasant, though some married people might dispute that...

Coming Clean "Ask me something?... Sure, shoot."
Good, he was sitting, that was a start to things but she could only hope it would continue to play out that way and for how long would he remain sitting. Those were more peculiar questions in her mind as she asked of them. Propping herself up Jayr would take a quick swig of her coffee smiling brightly with the influx of caffeine in her system before preparing to speak up.
"What you said, the other day during the riot, I'd like to take that to heart."
She'd not formulating her words as she reminisced about his ideal of the pillars keeping others from interrupting fights rather than the other way around. It'd be the means of keeping order in a cruel society in which they exhibited.
"Could you perhaps elaborate on what you meant? I'd like to hear you out, perhaps illustrate your ideas among other things."
Jayr would sit back now her cup empty and ready to learn from an evidently very opinionated person, if he so graced her with such details.

Kiyoshi's brow perked in a show of curiosity as Jayr took a sip from her drink before speaking what was on her mind. Observe enough people and it becomes apparent that people usually only take drinks before speaking when it is something serious, otherwise they speak then drink. However what she said was far from anything that Kiyoshi would have expected. To think that anyone took his words any bit seriously from that day was an odd feeling to start with, but the peacekeeper in all of it to be the one who did... easily on the upper end of a shock scale. He responded with a more serious expression and nod while bringing his hands together with the fingers interlocked.
The crux of the matter came to the forefront with Jayr's asking for an explanation of the ideal that Kiyoshi had laid out that day. He winced slightly while thinking it over, not because he was unsure about telling her but because it was no something so easily explained and grasped. In his mind it took, as cliche as it may sound, a warrior's mentality to understand. A person who could drink in merriment with another one day and the next strike them down when facing them on the battlefield without a second thought and in lieu of regret. The samurai descendant sighed softly while shifting his position to a more upright posture from the previous slouched one, his mind twisting and turning on how to best explain.
"Alright... if there is a problem between two people that can't be talked out, this forced non-violence does not allow any outlet. That resentment boils between the two and toward the ones imposing the non-violence. Soon the whole thing explodes and that feeling doesn't dissipate, instead it remains festering under the surface. Where as if you let them fight it out at the start with a sense of honor and decency until one is out without anyone interfering, then you resolve that animosity before it can fester."
Kiyoshi paused for a moment to let that little depiction of what he sought sink in. There were two serious issues that he saw in opposition to his little plan, the teachers and their violence, and the monsters who committed the more violent acts in the school simply because they could. A small clearing of his throat while he shifted his hands back and forth in a manner that caused the knuckles of one to snap and crack before the other.
"If you get all of the students, or at least the large majority, to follow this ideal then what can a teacher do. Smack around one kid and risk the larger majority of them focusing their rage on that single teacher... however the monsters that roamed would remain... but no matter what you do they will linger. All you can do is try to find a way to prevent more."
The was a person, more so thing as the Japanese student saw it, on his mind as he spoke of monsters. A thing who had no honor or decency to speak of and would do anything to accomplish its own goals, that had found a way to justify anything it did... Gabriel Seran is what most others knew it as, but Kiyoshi knew it as it.

Certain measure of surprise There was a bit of surprise on Kyoshi's features something passed up by Jayr as she tucked her arms around her shins drinking from the cup with patience as she lingered on his words predicting a focus on his prior statements. Hopefully somewhere in there there'd be an amount of reason she could relate to, a measure of understanding that she hoped to carry with her with her newly forming group.
"Alright... if there is a problem between two people that can't be talked out, this forced non-violence does not allow any outlet.
"Makes sense."
Jayr would nod slowly taking another sip from the cup as she pictured that in her head. He did have a point, she couldn't count the number of times girl's had held onto a grudge only to have it later blow up in someone's face. The same thing equated here except on a much more violent scale.
Jayr would linger quietly for a moment, again she didn't want to have him feel as though his ideals were simply passed up without forethought. She would consider them earnestly. There was a measure however she felt may be a bit too radicalist, but then again one could rationalize to the effects of nonaggression only to be reversed when struck out at first. It did hinder their group's mobility but it made them more just over all.
"Hmm, what if there was a means to do this? Organize the student body to facilitate these 'Grudge matches' among other things."
Another sip before placing the mug down finally on the table, its weight presenting a smooth little clink as it touched the surface.
"I agree with you, forcing people to be passive won't make it happen so there does need to be an outlet. I was hoping just sports and clubs but it seems even that is a bit to subvert so what if we were to organize these matches? If two people have a problem we can set aside an area for them to go at it which would reduce casualties and allow them to get their angst out."
She'd nod looking to him for some feedback, truly she didn't want to postulate this all, she wanted to work with him to find the best route.
"Among other things, if thats not enough we can set up regular matches that people can put bets on, a sort of sporting sense even teams to instill school pride perhaps. As for the Monsters... Like the knight and those other two that broke on campus, I suppose maybe use the volunteers from the fights to organize a regulations team. Fighters who are capable en mass to combat strong foes. Am I along the right track?"
Jayr would ask with a bit of a smile having spouted a bit of her thoughts on the matter, once again returning for some arguable input from Kiyosho. Perhaps even agreement at this point.

Having said his bit Kiyoshi waited courteously for the response from Jayr. It was still an uncertainty how she would actually take the overall ideal that he put forth even though she had been willing to listen. After all she had been the one real voice of peace during the riot and what he spoke of wasn’t exactly peaceful, however it did have the redeeming quality of being a sort of middle ground. Students wanted a change in the system but destroying it had proved difficult and was short sighted, his idea created a positive change while allowing much of the perceived positives to continue on. Anyway, Kiyoshi focused his attention on the woman before him had to say. There were several counterpoints to be made but he let her finish before responding.
“I don’t see a need for facilitation… people already try to settle things on the spot. You stop the people stopping them and everything will be carried out. In essence, we have already built the structure and only a change at the top is needed.”
It was true, only the pillars and those trying to please them would interfere in a fight… once that was changed then the rest of it would fall in line more or less. There were kinks that would have to be knocked out as time went on but no real overhaul. That said Kiyoshi moved onto the next bit he had to ‘correct’, for lack of a better word.
“From what I saw the outsiders coming in aren’t a problem… the problem, the monsters, I mention are the ones already among us. People who fight for nothing but the pleasure of causing harm, those that would not hesitate to kill… that have no sense of pride or honor. They walk among us and the real most problematic obstacle to this end…”
Kiyoshi leaned forward, placing his elbows on the edge of the table. He was about to gamble again and the change for casual debate to the most severe demeanor occurred. For the most part his grown ambition had not been readily reveled to anyone outside a few select people he was trying to recruit to his cause. It was unlikely Jayr would join him, in fact she probably was planning for the exact opposite, however at this moment putting them on similar paths until other obstacles were overcome.
“I will say this… I will conquer this school to bring about the change I foresee. Then I will find the person pulling the strings behind the outsiders being sent our way and destroy them.”
The vivid ice blue hues glossed with a steel like shimmer as Kiyoshi stared back at Jayr. It was not exactly a smart move to reveal his goals to someone he had no immediate intention of bringing into his own fray. Should things change in the future, that might change as well but for the most part he felt she was too nice to be involved in the battles he foresaw. However he still felt that she needed to know, if only out of courtesy.

Where does that leave us? “I don’t see a need for facilitation… people already try to settle things on the spot. You stop the people stopping them and everything will be carried out. Zealous remarks. She knew that quite well as his interpretation was much akin to how Shugo seemed to view it. There was a strong need to take out the top, the pillars, her in essence. Though a blind eye it'd seemed would be turned to the center most cause. The individual, the cause. She'd relay back within her thoughts coming to ascertain who'd cause most violence here outrightly so. More than likely Katashi, and Kiyoshi as it were. Two individuals apart from the legitimate factions. Individuals.
"I would like you to help me, restructuring the top. Perhaps you don't agree with facilitation but perhaps you may have input on other facets of the school? What I said the other day still holds true, perhaps I may not be as forward as you say it needs to be done but it will get done."
Jayr would nod regardless of how he took it, she was after all as stubborn as they came.
"The door is always open, but I fear where this leaves us."

There was little reaction as Kiyoshi would have expected, no one saw him as a real threat to any section of the power struggle. Perhaps that would play as one of his greater advantages in all this… the more you were overlooked, the better the chances of being left alone to consolidate your power. However all that was neither here nor there, as bold as he may have been in revealing his plans there was little to substantiate his claims. Be it clever or the fact that he had yet to make any real waves or moves. Kiyoshi did have a bit more to respond to, which he would do while letting that momentary intensity he’d had subside.
“If you are referring to clubs and sports… they will always play a part, albeit a very small one, in what students do to relieve stress and tension. However they will never be able to replace the feeling of a fight.”
With that little piece said Kiyoshi sat back in his chair while staring back at Jayr, his mind mulling over the offer she was laying before him. Problem was that as stubborn as she was, he could be more so to the point of stupidity. He would give it the proper moment of pause, though his answer was certain from the relative outset of her asking, as a matter of courtesy. After that moment he sighed lightly and gave his reply with a gentle smile.
“… It leaves us on separate paths with similar goals. I suppose the rest is up to Fate.”
Kiyoshi finished his thought and rose from the chair as the serious discussion that they had been working through was coming to its conclusion if it had not already reached it. Now it didn’t have to be good-bye for the day but given his denial of her offer, it was unlikely. Still he would wait to see what else she might have to say today.

Separate Paths “If you are referring to clubs and sports… they will always play a part, albeit a very small one, in what students do to relieve stress and tension. However they will never be able to replace the feeling of a fight.”
She meant a bit more than that, simply the restructuring of government, but he already knew that much as he'd shown his dislike of any form of government imposing rule. So Jayr would leave it at that feeling no need to build upon such, as regardless his decision was made plain to see on his features though aiming to have it nicely packaged for its arrival to her. For that much she could be thankful, at the very least respect the man for his kindness having earned it in her eyes.
“… It leaves us on separate paths with similar goals. I suppose the rest is up to Fate.”
"And I hope we do cross paths again, hopefully in the best of cases."
Jayr would giggle lightly feeling the short sting in her chest realizing that if it wasn't under those conditions they'd be at opposing ends, fighting each other. Jayr would hope for as few of those conflicts as possible, but after all she knew what to expect.

{OoC: little tag on}
Kiyoshi nodded lightly to signal the same sentiment. For the most part he did not want to fight her or even see her come to harm, however it would be impossible for him to say that there was no part of him that did not seek that conflict. The warrior deep inside him did have a partial wish to see her on the battlefield when everything was on the line to see who would come out on top and push the bounds of their ability. However that would still be a long time away if it would ever come. With a soft sigh Kiyoshi took a step and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder much in the manner he had at the beginning of her meeting.
“Stand tall... always.”
Not that Jayr would need the extra reassurance but Kiyoshi felt it did not hurt to say. If they did end of fighting, he did not want her faltering for any reason what so ever. It would take an unbending will to change the system and while she certainly seemed to have one a pat on the back was still good. With that out of the way, Kiyoshi made his way toward the exit to carry on with his own day and leaving her to her own thoughts and plans for the day.
