Entering the pyramid they would pass more bodies, the sand nearly mud from the blood spilled here this day. John's hopes would more or less be realized however as the interior opened up to seeing an injured Odysseus being attended by a very fussy Medusa. The remaining plant monsters were either shattered and stone or ripped apart by Anubis and his hounds. The civilians were likely sealed in the tombs underground that this group had been guarding!

Keeping his God Right active he'd rush over relieved by what he saw, giving Anubis room and a polite bow of the head before going to Medusa and Odysseus.
"Seems we missed the party inside. We were held up outside by a few surprises."
He'd look around.
"I know it's sudden, but is there any way we can move everyone to the World Tree? I think regrouping and consolidating our fighting strength is our best move right now."

Evelyn took in the damaged and broken creatures with a silent sight of relief, dagger still in hand. Stepping further in towards the others, she gave Anubis a smile as well, feeling a knot in her chest loosen. She knew he was a god, and one whose domain was probably strong now, but there was still that nagging fear in the back of her mind. Seeing everyone here now was surreal, a measure of who they were and that earned strength and respect on display and at the ready.
"Glad to see everyone's in one pice." She assumed there was a reason John had offered up the idea, even though they had made it this far now. But they couldn't hide under the Pyramids forever, either.
"It's fairly quiet out there, now. The sky's clear." She glanced around, looking again for Golem and Basilisk. She'd fought with them, but they weren't here yet. Part of her expected as much; Golem would be slow and steady, regardless if he ran into trouble, and Basilisk had been guarding civilians. So long as there weren't any more underground surprises, she felt positive about them.
