--- was the message that the white-haired girl had sent to her sister earlier that morning. Yes, Emily was going to give her a little something. A reward for being such a good little sister even though they've been together for just a short amount of time. Consider it as a gift to make up for the insane amount of time that they've never had time together at all.
Emily waited in front of the school, leaning against her light blue Volkswagen beetle with something wrapped in some sort of ethnic trapestry. It was---
---To be a surprise.

Drea's phone buzzed in her pocket from a message... One from her beloved sister.
Within minutes, Drea changed her original destination - the yogurt shop - to the school. She quickened her walk to a brisk trot. She arrived at the school minutes after she'd been called there.
She called out to her sister when she caught sight of her, and sprinted towards her. It felt good. It had been a while since she'd been able to run about. She liked running, after all, and she moved fairly quickly.
"Ne, I'm here~!" she called to her twin, smiling. She was pleased just to be seeing her sister, although she was a bit curious. What did Emily have for her?

Emily grinned when she caught sight of her sister, waving at Drea as she sprinted forward. Interestingly, the girl was getting a lot faster. Quite fascinating amount of improvement in such a short time. Emily just smiled and pushed herself off the car, throwing the little gift inside. "Get inside. I'll have to give it to you somewhere else." She said as she made her way towards the driver's seat. Of course, Emily had just finished getting her driver's license, and even though she was still a probie - it wasn't as if she couldn't drive... right?
As soon as Drea got inside, Emily would start the car and drive. They headed onto the outskirts of Long Beach, somewhere she had been before. It wasn't so far though; just a five minute drive, but it was significantly far enough from school to be "safe" from any unwanted intrusion. Emily would exit the car and pick up the "gift" on her way out. "We're here."
In front of them was a huge lot, and inside was a small house - a bungalow. Probably at the size enough to support a family of five.
Emily more or less didn't really want to go back here, but this was a place where she could go without interference from other students from 259.

Drea grinned as her sister waved at her.
"Get inside. I'll have to give it to you somewhere else." Emily said to her, smiling. As obedient as ever, Drea obeyed. She had no qualms about her sister's driving. She trusted the other girl implicitly. After all, she was attached to her. Some odd years away from a sibling can do that to a person, after all.
She wasn't sure where they were going. Even the road signs gave her no clue was to their destination.
Finally they stopped, and her sister announced they'd arrived: "We're here."
Drea followed her sister out of the car, too busy looking around to realize her sister had picked something up. It was... an interesting place.
"Where are we?" she asked, turning towards her sister, blinking.

"Where are we?"
Emily merely grinned, somewhat darkly, as if there had been many unfavorable memories within this lot. Considering it was quite secluded, there were only few who would bother to look at what was going on. It didn't help that a rather tall wooden fence was surrounding the entire area; more or less around a block long.
"I own this land." Emily said, peeling the cloth from the rectangular object carefully to reveal two sword-like objects - one golden one, and one black one with a sheen of blue. Emily just took the gold one into her hands, tossing the blue one over to Drea as she continued to speak. "Never thought I'd come back to this place, but considering Regalia and all, we'll all need a little getaway. Thought this would be an appropriate place..."
...
Emily grinned and pointed to the "sword" that she had passed on to her sister. "That is Timog." She said, "It's one of the two metal fans I had made when I was a sophomore. It broke a few months back, so I had it remade. That's yours."

"I own this land." her sister said.
Drea blinked. Wow. That was impressive. She noticed the clothe-covered items in her sister's hand and caught the black-and-blue when her sister tossed it towards her. No, Emily didn't punch her. It was a sword-like thing she tossed, not a bruise. She wasn't sure what to do with it, so she only held it as her sister continued speaking.
"Never thought I'd come back to this place, but considering Regalia and all, we'll all need a little getaway. Thought this would be an appropriate place..."
"...This place... You don't like it very much, do you?" Drea asked quietly. She could tell from the way her sister spoke and stood - and even from the way she eyed the location. Emily had a dislike for it.
Drea blinked as her sister pointed at the long thing she held in her hands.
"That is Timog." Emily said. Okay. That was all well and good... But 'South?' She was suddenly very curious about what she held.
"It's one of the two metal fans I had made when I was a sophomore. It broke a few months back, so I had it remade. That's yours."
Drea blinked. "Mine?"
She shifted the large metal fan in her hands, feeling it - carefully, of course, so as to not hurt herself. She unfolded it - and was promptly impressed by the fan's appearance.
"She's beautiful," she breathed, taken by the weapon.

Emily's eyes kept wandering over to the small house, remembering small snippets of things that she didn't really wish to remember again. Pulling her vest-shirt to make sure it was still on her, she shifted her attention to Drea who quickly made a note of Emily's visible dislike for the place.
"...This place... You don't like it very much, do you?"
Emily shrugged, not answering. It wasn't really going to be easy revealing to her sister that she had killed four men while they were trying to make child pornography out of her. No one really needed to know that.
Though, Emily smiled when Drea examined the three-foot, thirteen-pound heavy dark-blue sword-fan. "Mine?"
Emily nodded. "It's yours."
"She's beautiful,"
Grinning, Emily would waste no time and unfolded her own fan, letting it touch the ground. It shimmered in the light, and had the impression of looking like rays of the sun. "This is Timog's twin - Hilaga." She said, "You might want to buy yourself some "Tessen" [Fans] before you delve into more fighting with Timog. They work best when you use double-wielding. It's a bit heavy at first, but with enough training I think you will get used to it."
Holding it one hand, Emily would wince a bit. Man, it got a hecka lot heavier than when she first had it. Interesting, right? Emily would pull herself into a defensive position, the shimmering gold sword in her hands.
"I'll teach you how to use them, if you want."

Drea noted that Emily didn't say anything about her comment on the location. Instead, she skipped immediately to a response to Drea's comments on the beautiful sheet fan.
"This is Timog's twin - Hilaga." her sister said, "You might want to buy yourself some "Tessen" [Fans] before you delve into more fighting with Timog. They work best when you use double-wielding. It's a bit heavy at first, but with enough training I think you will get used to it."
Drea nodded. "I'll get two," she decided. "Until I am proficient enough to wield Timog."
She didn't intend to take too long - she wanted very much to use the beautiful fan. Already, several ideas were slipping into her mind.
Still, she was entranced by the way the fans seemed to oppose each other - and yet fit. Her sister's bore the rays of the sun - and her own held the waves of the ocean. They were both beautiful - and Drea liked Timog very much. It was a bit heavy - but not as heavy as she'd been expecting.
"I'll teach you how to use them, if you want." Emily said.
Drea's eyes immediately sparkled. She was delighted at the prospect of learning to fight with the fan properly. After all, despite it's beauty, the fan was still a weapon. "That would be wonderful!" she exclaimed, smiling broadly.

Emily grinned, happy to see her sister enthusiastic with her new little toy. Though Timog was indeed a mere fan, it had powers of it's own, powers of which Drea may or may not discover later on. Who knows what power it held in secret?
Emily shrugged. "Come at me, Sis." She offered, "Try and hit me with the sword; we both need to get used to the weight first, right?"
Very short post, I apologize.

"Come at me, Sis." Emily said, "Try and hit me with the sword; we both need to get used to the weight first, right?"
Drea nodded, immediately shutting her own fan with a quiet click. Then, carefully, she drew it towards her and then, approaching her sister, sort of swung it at her, straight down. It was heavy, but not so heavy that she couldn't handle the weight of it.
Somewhere, in the back of her mind, a small - almost tiny - though bloomed: This is the weight of someone's life.
It was a thought she wasn't sure she was comfortable with, and so she continued to ignore it, keeping it in the back of her mind. She'd worry about it later. For now, though, she'd get used to Timog.
"Hi-yah!"

Life is a heavy burden for everyone. Everyone had their burdens; everyone held their crosses. In Emily's mind, her fans were probably one of the heavier things she's owned. Not that she cared, considering that most of the things she wore were similarly heavy.
Gripping her closed fan tightly, Emily anticipated the approach of her little sister; full aware that the weight of either fan slowed them both down to a considerable degree.
Especially that Emily's own fan was around ten pounds heavier than of Drea's.
Drea's fan would threaten a hit from above, but Emily would merely do a clockwise-spin hopefully causing Timog to miss Emily's back by a hair, while the flat underside of it's sister fan would be driven to her side; right at a rib.
Normally, Emily would hit the shoulder, but this was her sister. She wanted Drea to get used to whatever abuse she could take from anyone else. It was better off from her than anyone else.

Drea's fan wouldn't connect as she intended, but as her sister moved, so did her hands, redirecting it as it fell. She intended to at least land a blow, even if it wasn't very solid. At the same time, though, she felt her sister's fan slam against her ribs. She winced, but did her best to refrain from showing any signs of pain. Still, though, whether Timog had connected or not, she would turn in a full circle - away from Hilaga so as to not run into it - and hold the fan in a way that it would slap against her sister at the hip level.
Who knew if it would hit... But she figured it was worth a try. She needed to figure out what would work, after all.

Emily's eye twitched at the small pain she felt. Drea was getting a lot stronger. It wasn't easy to redirect movement the way she did, especially with heavy objects such as their fans. Emily held a small, pained smile. She would have to take her sister a bit more seriously from this point on.
She found that Drea turned again, managing to slip away from Hilaga and herself. Interesting.
Emily would then rush forward, thrusting Hilaga forward like an epee in fencing. Hilaga was a rather long sword, about a meter long, so it wouldn't be so easy trying to back off from that. The rounded tip of the sword aimed for apex of the younger sister's sternum, but it was merely a diversionary attempt to see how quickly Drea would react to the attack. It would be obvious as soon as Hilaga moved aside at the last moment, shifting to the side as Emily pulled her other arm back to aim a punch for her sister's gut.
She also remembered how rusty she got using these fans. Oh dear.
Practice must be had.

Her sister rushed at her, but Drea saw only the point of Hilaga as it headed for her chest. Almost instinctively, she brought Timog up as quickly as she could, knocking Hilaga off course.
She hissed a bit through her teeth at the vibrations that traveled down the length of the fan. She needed to get a stronger grip on Timog or she'd have trouble landing blows with it. Stress balls and exercises it was, then.
She then immediately reversed Timog's direction to once more fall straight, hopefully onto her sister's shoulder. Her eyes were focused with determination and her teeth gritted.

Let's recap, shall we? - Emily wanted to poke her sister with a fan, she bitchslapped it upwards with her own fan.
- Emily's fist met with her sister's fan, making it vibrate. lol.
Her sister was tough, this just proved it. In a sense, weapons were slightly restricting. There were only limited ways on how to use them, and Emily, as creative as she was wasn't also too experienced with weaponry to deal with things. Her fans however, was something she was, more or less used to. Interestingly, it was difficult to change directions without slowing down first considerably - something Emily had learned a bit from a certain dragon way, way back - so she was a little interested in how Drea managed to pull it off, considering how much force it would normally take to do so with something as heavy as Hilaga or Timog; to do that required a decent amount of strength - something Drea wasn't exactly capable of at this point. This was why fluid movement was important. Using the ordinary Tessen and Hilaga in an x-formation to catch the younger girl's sword, Emily would then pull up a foot to kick her sister in the stomach to push her away. If it hit, Emily would then begin to speak again. "Changing directions isn't easy with our fans." She said, "You'll need to start lifting some weights, Drea."
