Maybe a stupid question, and I probably should know this...
I just saw a few of those old Tier Up threads in character development, and noticed there hasn't been one for a while.
Are these still in effect? If so, aren't I just on the threshold to just have to move up to tier 2 low? (with my 25 in int and 21 in wis)
If this is the case, seeing as mod activity has been down these past few weeks, how should I go about tiering up?

Yeah, they're still in effect, it's just a lot of us haven't gotten the required EXP to move up a tier or have reached the maximum tier.
You can get a tier up, since you have 25 in a stat category, just ask Leon or Raikotsu, and they'll probably post a thread up for you.

Heh heh heh... (Keep in mind though, I've had Kazuya for 4, soon to be 5 years on May 9. That's a lot of years )

If all else fails while this isn't exactly common you could ask a more senior player to Game Master a thread for you. You'll get no rewards but they'll put together some sort of mini quest with a few trash mobs and a boss fight or just a test. Heh heh heh... (Keep in mind though, I've had Kazuya for 4, soon to be 5 years on May 9. That's a lot of years ) This is my eighth year with Jack.

To the credit of the 259er Roleplayers, a good community-answered question. Well done.

Now I'm confused
So to go from Low to low to you need 25 and then low 2 to medium you need 35 so on so forth. Because going on from these scales as to get to God you need 75 in a stat as the stat level before it is what you need to advance.
5-24 = low 25-34 = low 2 34-44 = medium 45-54 = medium 2 55-64 = high 65-74 = high 2 75-84 = god * 85-94 = god 2
*with the current model as soon as you get 75 exp in a stat you instantly get +5 exp and can get 80 in the stat and then another 5 exp off the bat.

I had to re-read this a bit.
Actually, I had to re-read that a lot.
*Clearly this is a typo and 20 is meant to be 25.
---Continuing on.
The reason that "God Tier" stops at 80... is because that is the ceiling. There is no "God 2 Tier" That is the God Tier.
There is no "85." It stops at 80. This is very deliberate. So yes, you get to 75, you tier up, and you can immediately put those points to cap yourself off at 80, and you will be done increasing that statistic. The only way to supersede the base statistic limitations at that point is through items, making items, from a gamer standpoint, a long-term investment.
Also, these days, there is much more to spend EXP on, including PNPCs and what have you. So don't be in a rush to cap out. =3
Of course, if I'm wrong, Leon has the rights to override me on this.
However, I by misreading that and coming to a different conclusion, I found a totally irritating mannerism in which the system can be broken "technically" (we have to rely on good Administrative & Moderating ethics) if we aren't wary. But a few amendments would nip that in the bud. Thank you.

So yes, you get to 75, you tier up, and you can immediately put those points to cap yourself off at 80, and you will be done increasing that statistic. The only way to supersede the base statistic limitations at that point is through items, making items, from a gamer standpoint, a long-term investment. I find this interesting. What I take from this is that, after you hit a base stat of 80 in one statistic, you have hit the ceiling and you cannot add any more exp gain to that statistic. In short, you cannot have more than 80 in one single base stat. Like a final "level cap"? I know this is in place to avoid people having so much power that they explode anything they poke, and I agree with it wholeheartedly... But, I have seen people with more than this in base statistics. Take the character Matrim Gallagher for instance. (I use Matrim for this example because, well, I was looking over threads, looked at his bio, and saw that with items attached he had over 700 Con). Matrim was a re-transfer, which might adjust the ruling on this, but shouldn't the base statistic cap of 80 apply to characters like him, too? Would his 234 base constitution be reduced? Or is there a tier above God tier, that allows for a "no limits" style of play? Other explanations I've thought of include special permission from mods, with promise that they won't overkill things (Mods know best), the fact that he transferred back from another board that didn't have such a capping system, or that, at some point in time, the cap system got put in place and he had already exceeded the god tier limit. Could you clear this up for me? Sorry I know it's a lot to ask, but I'd like to understand this, as I've found examples of this in other areas. And for extra cases of "whaaaaaaaaaaaaat?" I found this on David Blaze's profile...
