It's been raining for days, now.
It had seemed like the heat would last forever. Even on days when it sprinkled a little, the humidity and tasteless skies seemed unending.
Yet this new rain carries a chill. Almost... Frosty. You feel it in your bones.
Today... Something is off. You feel like change is coming, though for good or evil is unknown.

Inside a completely rebuilt dojo located in the heart of Dragon Territory, Kazuya was inside training, rain lashing at the windows and drowning out his shouts as he struck at the wooden dummy in front of him. The occasional roar of thunder followed by a flash of lightning lighting up his facial features, his katana could be seen lying on the ground beside him as he would continue his training, before pausing.
Today... Something felt off. He felt like change was coming, though whether it was good or bad... He didn't know. Either way, he would prepare himself for whatever may come his way...

Delilah is running her team through a training excersize in the Crows territory, sort of a game of 'tag' with sling shots and rubber pellets. They seem to be having fun in spite of the rain making it hard to stay focused.
The mechanic herself is watching the goings on below, but her mind is elsewhere. Deep in her soul something feels amiss. It's colder than it ought to be, even for winter in California. So odd.
She thinks about going to visit David later today and discuss the feeling with him. Maybe he would have some insights, seeing as he is the 'Storm Dragon'.

"MOVE! MOVE YOU MAGGOTS!"
Jack screamed as he kicked, punched and pushed his men as they ran through their drills. He even went as far as to grab on of them by the hair and drag him through the mud.
"Do you think our enemies will show you kindness? No mercy! No weakness and no failure!"
There was a raging storm going on and Jack had rarely ever felt so alive. Jack looked up into the sky and caught the beautiful flash of lightning erupting from the skies, a smile spread across his face. "Today is a good day to die" he said at last as he shot up a rare and silent prayer to his fallen comrades.
Snapping back to reality Jack growled as he yelled at the newest recruits running laps around the compound. "MOVE IT, MOVE IT, MOVE IT!"

Cold. The icy rain saturates the clothes on his back, the freezing wind whistles past his ears and numbs his core. Phoenix always hated the cold. Lightning tore through the sky, its light blinding to those that looked to the horizon. Gathering himself up off the wet, hard ground, Phoenix glanced over towards the training in progress. Jack's loud voice barely carried the distance to Phoenix, so deafening was the torrential rain.
Struggling through the downpour, back towards the compound and his warm quarters, Phoenix wondered what was causing such weather. The heat and humidity expected in this area had evaporated leaving only the cold. Stepping inside the sheltered building, he made his way the lucky few recruits that had avoided his friend's rigorous training exercises. They talked amongst themselves but spoke of nothing interesting. Retiring to his quarters and resting his head against the cool glass of a window, he could see that the storm was unlikely to cease any time soon.

Reira was in the Shugo Manor kitchen making stew with several others as she glanced out the kitchen window. The rain splattered itself relentlessly against the glass and she couldn't help but feel and odd chill run down to her core. Call it a woman's intuition, or just a sixth sense but there was just something off. It was a sense of a twist and squeeze in her gut before radiating throughout her body.
Something was just...off.
She shivers before turning back to skillfully cut the carrots and other vegetables for the soup. She could only pray that it wasn't because it was about to become a thunderstorm.

Orion was inside a warehouse, filled with various supplies, from food to drink to flares to things such as kunai and shuriken. He himself was working on a crossbow, with a quiver of bolts leaning against the desk he was at on one side, his halberd resting on the other, unwrapped. Scattered across the desk were various crossbow accessories, along with the crossbow itself that he had just recently redrawn. He cast his head up towards the roof, from where he could hear the pounding rain.
"That rain... has yet to stop. Something... is coming..."
He would return his attention back to his weapon, though before doing so he would open a drawer allowing quicker access to the contents within.

Kyrie smoothed her fingers over the piano keys and played a soft melody. Levi was not at his home at the moment, but she had been told she could come to play at any time. Quiet blue eyes regarded the book of music in front of her. Her book.
And even as she played a melody by heart, she couldn't lose herself in her music. Some sort of awareness kept preventing her from sinking into the flow. A false peace. A wrongness. She had felt it for some time.
The rain didn't necessarily bother her, being she was originally from Seattle. But today, something was quietly screaming for attention. With a slow sigh, the petit blonde closed her book and, selecting a small piece of paper she was working on, penned a short note at the top of the page, leaving the top of it clearly visible behind the front page, the book itself closed but not wrapped.
I leave this book in your keeping until I return for it, Levi. Something is wrong.
And she wasn't about to attract it here if it had any type of target. She stood, gently tugging her gloves back into place, the small trinket pendant in between her vest and skin, and quietly slipped from her location.
Out into the icy rain. She travelled for a little while with no real destination in mind until she found a somewhat decrepit building with no occupants. It was one the Dragons had yet to get to for repairs, as they could do much more with other buildings with the same material cost.
She took temporary shelter there, wringing the cold damp from her hair and jumping to keep warm. She was lucky one of the rooms were still intact on the third floor of the building, and used it to start to dry off somewhat.
And to keep an eye on the world outside.

Rain.
At one point in time Marcus outright hated the rain. It soaked through his clothes, weighing him down and chilling him to the bone. Making him feel slow, ungainly and confined. Combine that with the dull grey sky and you have one miserabley wet man walking the streets of his territory.
'Still need to come up with a name for this place. Might hold a vote or something..........'
It wasn't until that one fateful rainy day Marcus nearly got killed by a half mad raven haired beauty using a falling satallite dish that his opinions of Rainy days slowly went up a few points. Besides, it was hard to hold a grudge against a free shower now that he had so precious few chances for one these days.
Anything to clean the feel of chalky dust off his tanned skin.
For the 12th, mabey 14th time Marcus walked a slow path through his territory, an alpha wolf patrolling what was his, His Wolfs Fang at his hip. There was something wrong about this rain. He could smell it in the air, feel it on his tongue.
Something was comming, and he would be ready for it.

OOC: BEWARE- THIS QUEST WILL MOVE DIFFERENT FOR EACH OF YOU THROUGHOUT A LOT OF IT.
THERE WILL COME A TIME WHERE YOU WILL ALL INTERACT, BUT BE PATIENT. THERE IS NO RUSH.
BITCHES.
IC:
Kazuya Hikari:
The doors would open.
Out of the rain stalked twenty men, dressed head to toe in black. No others were in the dojo. All of these men wore gas masks. The ties they all wore were black- save one. His was red. He stepped forward.
"Kazuya Hikari. You are charged with crimes against humanity. You will be taken for trial."
Gas canisters would be thrown through the windows, causing near instant drowsiness. Still, this Fire breather was not to be trifled with. So, as the gas hit the floor, men would rush through the doors from behind. They are surrounding Kazuya.
They raised guns, and fired- Nets.
Titanium roping snatch around Kazuya, causing him to begin to feel lighter. He is starting to fade as electricity jolted through his body…
**********************************
Kazuya's eyes open. He is not tied down, though the room is dark. There is light coming from under the crack of the door, and there someone else's even breathing coming from the other side of the room. They are asleep.
Kazuya's head hurts, and and he notices that he can no longer use his Qi. Though he felt strange, he can move freely about the room, which is about twenty feet in a perfect square.
Delilah A. Black:
As she worked, a fifteen year old man would run up to her, grasping her hand frantically.
"THEY ARE KILLING HER!"
The man was quite obviously a Crow, and would drag her forward. She would have an opportunity to say something, or call for additional men if necessary, though they would be out of the currently location in mere seconds. They would come upon five men, dressed casually, stomping a young female to death. This was no ploy, no play- they were killing her.
Once Delilah and any men she might have brought arrived, one of the men would grab the girl, throw her over his shoulder and run for the wall, running up it easily before launching over, Parkour style. The other men would follow, though one was short, and slow.
The girl is a 16 year old Crow, near death. The intentions of the men who took her may not be pure. Delilahs men might not be able to keep up with them, but she can, though with some difficulty.
Jack:
Men would phase out of the dark as Jack was dragging the soldier, Pheonix having already left. Men branched off to follow him- though many stayed behind jack.
They said nothing to him. Instead, One lone man would step in front of Jack, his tie being red.
No statements would be given, immediately. Jack was a loose cannon- they knew this. They studied him.
A dart would hit the back of Jack's neck.
They surrounded Jack, who would feel instantly sluggish, almost invariably slower. It would take great effort to raise his arms. Standing over him (and the man he was dragging), would be several gas masked covered gentlemen, who spoke as sleep began to claim him.
"Jack Conner. You are charged with crimes against humanity. You will be taken for trial."
*******************************
Jacks eyes open. He is not tied down, though the room is dark. He can see light coming from under the crack of the door. He is alone. The room is small, almost like a cell, six feet wide by nine feet long.
His head hurts, and He notices that he can no longer use his Qi. Though he feels strange, he can move freely about the room.
Pheonix:
Through his door would walk three recruits.
"Phoenix?"
The man at the front would offer a small smile.
Then, suddenly, he would raise his hand and fire an air handgun which would shoot a titanium net and pin the man to his bed. Three hundred thousand volts would slide through Phoenix, preventing him from screaming for help.
"Phoenix Nixon. You are are charged with crimes against humanity. You are to be taken for trial."
The man walks forward and sticks him with a needle, not concerned about the electricity that jumped it's way up his own body. Phoenix begins to feel groggy, and the pain subsides as darkness claimed him.
***********************
Phoenix awakens. He is someplace wet, and he is laying in half an inch of water. This place is cold and dark. He hears a dripping sound, and is seemingly alone. He can move freely, and if he checks around, will notice he can go forward, or behind him.
His head hurts, but otherwise he seems fine. He does notice, however, he can't touch his Qi, or use it in any way.
Reira:
At the window, in front of Reira, a flash of lightning would give hint to the shadow of a man, though on the next flash, nothing would be there. A gas canister would explode through the window. Her friends or soldiers around her would drop instantly, though her strength would prove to give her a few moments of grogginess. Three men would enter as Reira would slide down the counter, all of them in black and with gas masks, though one wore a red tie instead of black.
"Reira. You are the exception that proves the rule, which is why you must stand trial as well."
Darkness, like a great pit, would claim her.
***********************************
Reira would wake, the room lit by a lights across the ceiling. She is in an old-style hospital. Her clothes and any items are sitting on a chair in the corner. She has an IV in her arm, and a patient's gown on.
Reira feels tired, and her head hurts, but she is otherwise physically capable. Across the room is a door, with a simple "pull" sign above the handle. There is a desk to the right of the door, and a computer, though the screen is black. There is complete silence, and nobody is moving about.
Orion:
Through the doors, several canisters are thrown. Gas erupts from them. Following the canisters, dozens of men poured in from all doors. Through the windows, men came swinging in, glass shattering down around them. The man at the front had a red tie, and a katana.
Orion, like Jack, was not to be trifled with.
The gas caused instant grogginess, and he would have difficulty raising his arms- the world would spin. As he slid to the floor, the man with the katana would step forward, and speak before the night was all Orion saw.
"Orion. You are charged with crimes against humanity. You are being taken to stand trial."
******************************************
Orion would awake, with only his personal items and weapons still on his person. The room is dark- he seemed to be in a break room at a local hospital. There were coffee machines, vending machines, etc. Doctor coats were scattered about on the floor haphazardly.
Orion seemed to feel fine, though he was unable to touch his Qi. He was slightly groggy, sleepy even, but otherwise can move about fine. At either end of the room is a double door, easily pushed open. There are a few desks scattered about, and one closet.
Kiyr:
From the shadows of the room, men would appear. Ten. Thirty. They were pack shoulder to shoulder around Kiyr. If she looked out a window or hole in a wall, she would notice dozens of men packed into the streets, all looking up at her. All of them were wearing gas masks.
Kiyr, being who she was, would likely try and phase into the darkness. Yet, as she attempted it, she would notice that trying to grip her Qi was like try to grab a bar of soap- it slipped around in her grasp.
The man with the red tie stepped up, a thick russian accent coming out form under his mask.
"Kiyr Barrial. You are being charged with crimes against humanity. You are will being taken to stand trial."
A dart would hit Kiyr in the side of the neck, and she would feel instantly heavy. As she fell, the man with the red tie would catch her form and lift her gently, carrying her with the others.
**************
Kiyr would awaken in a large room, the only light coming from the open door to a large, industrial heater. Around her were her items, and the stone floor was covered in dust, no trace of her having been brought there apparent.
Darkness was all that was available outside that little bit of light. She could see the faint outline of objects in the room, like a riding lawn mower, the shadow of steps leading upward, and around the other side of those steps, the faintness of the steps leading down.
Kiyr's head hurts a little, and she cannot touch her Qi. Otherwise, physically fine, she can move about freely.
Marcus Prasad:
A net would slam down around Marcus, throwing the man to the earth and pinning him there. Three hundred thousand volts pounded through his body, preventing him from crying out. Nobody was around to see the man in the red tie walk forward, and Crouch next to him, rain pelting his gas mask as he held the canister in front of Marcus' face.
"Marcus Prasad. You have been charged with crimes against humanity. You are being taken to stand trial."
Marcus would not be able to hold his breath while being shocked, and the gas mixed with the electricity would quickly pull him into sleep.
*****************************************
Marcus would awaken to a single light hanging above him, swinging gently. If he sat up, he would notice light splaying across four doors in the room, one on each wall. The room was white, and empty, save for his items, which are sitting off to the side.
His head hurts a little and he cant feel his Qi, but otherwise feels physically fine and able to move freely.
TO BEGIN, SOME OF YOU MAY NOTICE PUPPETEERING/GODDING ON MY PART. ONCE YOU'RE CHARACTER AWAKENS, THIS SHOULDN'T TAKE PLACE UNLESS NECESSARY.
ANY QUESTIONS, PM ME.
OTHERWISE, WOAH.

Slowly turning his head to look behind him as the doors of the dojo opened, his eyes would narrow at the twenty men that stalked out of the rain, all dressed identically, except for the ties. One man wore a red tie, clearly marking him as the leader.
"..."
Immediately kicking his katana up into the air and snatching it in mid-air while simultaneously yanking up the bandanna he wore around his neck up to cover his mouth and nose as gas canisters came flying through the windows, more men would come charging into the dojo, this time from the back, and before Kazuya could even react, the men raised guns and fired. Automatically struggling against the titanium netting, it would prove to be a futile effort, and before he knew it, he began to feel lighter, before eventually blacking out from the electric jolt...
-----------------------------
Slowly cracking his eyes open, he'd cast his gaze around groggily, though there was darkness as far as the eye could see. He could see light coming from underneath the crack of the door, and amongst the utter silence of the room, he could hear the sound of someone else's even breathing coming from the other side of the room. He was not alone. Slowly sitting up, he'd wince immediately from his head hurting, cradling his head in one hand. Lifting his hand up, he'd try to make a flame the size of a lighter appear on his finger.
No luck. Either his Qi was broken, or he couldn't use it, and considering he was pretty sure he couldn't break his Qi, he concluded he couldn't use it. No problem. Slowly climbing to his feet, after adjusting all his personal items and weapon that he wore, he'd make a flame the size of a lighter appear on his finger, to try and light up the room and look around. He may not be able to use his Qi, but he could still create flames thanks to the abilities of his gloves and foot guards. Hopefully he could find out where he was... and what crimes he was being charged for.

Post by Delilah A. Black on Jan 23, 2013 20:07:02 GMT -8
A panicked young man came up to her, clutching at her hand. She looked at him, puzzled and concerned.
Then his words hit her fully and she let him lead her on, hurriedly, lifting a hand to her blue-tooth as she did so.
"Tengu, disengage from activity immediately. We have a breach. Fan out and patrol the area, I'm investigating a situation, over." Her hand dropped to her waist, hand on the hilt of her knives.
As they rounded the corner, the sight in front of her burned bright in her vision and became the white-hot anger of injustice. Just as she started towards them, they noticed her grabbed the girl, turned and fled, scaling a wall with ease.
It was weird to be sure, not too many people were that skilled at parkour. She pushed that aside for now; she couldn't let these men get away.
In two strides, Delilah was at a full sprint. By the time she was halfway to the wall, the men had scaled over it. By the time they had started runningon the other side, Delilah had reached the top of the wall.
She jumped down, landing lightly on her feet and taking off like a shot as soon as they touched the ground. Her hand tapped her earpiece.
"In pursuit of targets, one girl mid teens taken as potential hostage. Will update, over and out."
Dropping her hand, she pushed herself, her teeth gritting in exertion. These fuckers were fast for whatever reason. But she wasn't about to stop for anything.
She would try to head them off, taking the various side passages she knew well while trying to keep the man with the girl over his shoulder in her sight. If one of the other men crossed her path, it would be a quick but messy kill with her knives for him before continuing on. If they spread out, she would follow the man with the girl in his grip almost single-mindedly.
If she managed to get in front of the man, she would charge him immediately, knives out and flashing menacingly as she would try and take out his femoral artery and his kidneys at the same time to grab the girl.
If she wasn't quite fast enough for that, Delilah would just keep following them at break-neck speed.

"Commander!"
The recruit that Jack had previously been dragging through the mud yelled. As everyone who was in the drill yard stopped their running and turned to look at what had caused the noise.
A lone recruit covered in mud, Jack O'Connor standing all drowsy, with many men surrounding him from the rear and finally one man standing in front of him. They weren't sure what to do, just stood their blinking until the men surrounded Jack and took him down.
Jack just laughed at it all, "I'll rape your mother, you cun..." as his jaw could no longer move and all he could do was slur his words, the large Australian fell to the ground covering the new recruit who was pinned by his body.
The remainder of the new recruits stood motionless and Jack's body was (assuming here) picked up. A few ran off to presumably find Phoenix or Jack's guard, others just watched and only a handful sprinted across the yard, they had no weapons but they were Invictus recruits and they'd be damned if they let their commander be taken without a fight.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He woke up in a dark room, he wasn't tied up or restrained, so he decided to feel around. He traced completely around the room with his hand before getting to same place.
“Phoenix?”
A question. Probing and unsure.
Glancing towards the door, he could see the figures of three recruits, none of whom he recognised. All were clad in the typical mishmash of clothes that passed for a uniform in one of Jack's squad. None of this was adding up, something wasn't right. As a small smile slowly appeared on the face of the leading man, Phoenix knew that he didn't want to stay and find out what he was smiling about. Rapidly turning away from the depressing sight and sound of torrential rain, Phoenix planned to run the length of the room, jumping out the opposite window to place some distance between the strange men and himself. Two steps later and Phoenix threw his gaze towards the three men, just in time to see a titanium net heading straight for him. Unable to react in time, he found himself pinned to his bed, the feeling of cold metal pressing against his limbs. Electricity coursed through his body, forced contractions contorted his muscles, spasms rolled through his back. He tried to yell out, alter somebody but the shocks made making a sound impossible.
“Phoenix Nixon. You are charged with crimes against humanity. You are to be taken for trial”
Cracking open his eyes, he could just make out the vague shape of someone approaching his flexible cage. The sharp prick of a needle was imperceptible against the onslaught of voltage. A sudden exhaustion descends upon him. The pain becomes sharper, more anguishing. The maelstrom of thoughts and questions swirling in Phoenix's head subsided as the darkness claims him.
______________________________________________________
It was the cold that woke Phoenix. Its aura snaked through his core. He hated it. A dripping sound caused him to bolt to his feet, water running off his clothes like a makeshift waterfall. Straining his eyes against the veil of darkness, they were unable to ascertain much. Turning his focus on himself instead, he knew that his head ached, the three must have used a sedative. There was something else though. Something was missing. Shrugging the eerie feeling away, Phoenix turned his, now adjusted, eyes to the darkness. A wall lay straight in from of him. There did, however, seem to be two directions he could take. Forwards or backwards. Deciding that direction was a useless notion in a situation with no bearings, he turned to his left and began walking quietly and cautiously.
Her green eyes narrow at the sight of the shadow and she reversed the grip on her kitchen knife to have ease of utilizing it as a weapon. However, she relaxes the next when it just seemed to be a figment of her imagination, that is, until the gas canister came through the window. Bringing her free hand to shield herself at the unknown object she coughs and fights to stay awake as the men in masks came. She struggles to move away and to fight but it was for naught as she succumbs only to catch the man with the red tie mentioning something about standing trial...
----
“Ngh...uuh...”
Rei blinks several times to clear her foggy vision but she winces, narrowing her eyes as the harsh hospital lights burned. After a moment she swings her legs over the side of the bed but the pain in her arm caused her to frown at the IV in her arm.
She glances at the bag to see what it was being injected in her before pulling the IV out with a soft grunt. Holding her head she’ll shuffle around putting her own clothes back on before she fiddles around looking at the desk to see if there any papers in the drawers and if she could somehow turn the computer or monitor on- perhaps there are wires unplugged?
Whether she were successful to get some extra info or not, she’d press her ear against the door to see if she could hear anyone on the other side. If there continued to be silence, she’ll pull the handle and open the door as softly and quietly as she could before peeking out.
Cameras? People? Guards? Where was she and what’s this place?
Reira heads out of the room to find out why those men captured her and to escape.
