Take me down to the river bend, Take me down to the fighting end, Wash the poison from off my skin Show me how to be whole again Fly me up on a silver wing Past the black where the siren sing Warm me up in a nova's glow And drop me down to the dream below.
Having had built a Faraday room in the basement of her home, her slight paranoia that she undoubtedly won't admit existed proved to be well worth it. She still had some working electronics though it required tweaking or rather massive modifications to have them run on batteries. Thank goodness she had stored a massive amount too. Some say paranoia, Eury would probably say super prepared. A batter operated mp3 player blasted a song within her ears. The brunette humming along to the tune as she walked about. Now the thing was there was a little something off about Ms. Eury this fine late afternoon. Her steps weren't as graceful as usual, she seemed to sway just a little and it wasn't do to her latina roots. Could be possible that she of all people as actually drunk? It was a hard hard task to get her to that point. Though she swayed ever so slightly it wasn't as noticeable to most as other drunks were. Eury was still, well kinda coherent and aware but yet not really maintaining the best kind of judgement.
Long ago Eury sat through annoying super solider like experimentation that enabled her to get drunk so easily. Now that meant it was possible just not likely to since she hadn't drank so much to even get to that point. When she was younger boy did she drink, now it was an occasion, but what caused her to go this far? That indeed was a good question. She had the strangest dream a few nights ago, and a storm roared in the night before that cased her to relive a terrible night of her past. She stood up all night waiting for it to pass like she always did, but this time the bottles became her best friends. She hadn't slept but it didn't look like it, and the irony of it all was you couldn't smell liquor on it. Like it evaporated or something into her blood stream. Weird no? Hazel greens scanned the walls of places she walked by catching some kind of flyer for some 'Skyforce' thing. A picture of a guy on it with the title Storm Dragon. Eury paused cocking her head tiredly to the side.
~Storm Dragon...I've heard that somewhere...Hmmmm.....mmmmmm....hmmmmm.... OOOOOooooo that woman I fought with.... Voice of the storm dragon yadda yadda... Soooo that's him huh? Well he's attractive~
Hey she could admit it! With a shrug she took a quick swig from the small water bottle that was in her right hand. Though it didn't contain water that was for sure! Pushing a few strands of chestnut brown hair behind her ear she kept pursuing forward with no goal in mind today. Suddenly, somehow she found herself around some kind of residential area. Houses were nice indeed. And then there was the trip from the raised concrete. Just great.
"Shit!"
She stumbled forward just barely catching herself from meeting the concrete, though the sacrifice would be very light sprain. It was a bit cartoonish almost laughable, and Eury made it no better by turning to face what tripped her.
"Who the hell just puts something like that in a random spot?! You know what mister concrete I don't like you right now...Oww."
She began grumbling to herself as she looked down assessing her right ankle.

"It's a curb. Their kinda put everywhere."
David was staring down at Eury with cold, unfeeling numbness. It had been two days, and he was close to heading out for his hunting before going home to see what was left for him besides the floors. Olesya probably wouldn't take everything, but it didn't matter. He was done with that place. His eyes turned from Eury to the crowd as he sat, watching them all go about their daily lives in such bliss. Not ten months ago they were hiding in rubble from advancing soldiers. Dragons were just a few men trying to stand up. David took them under his wing. Now, they were entirely self sufficient. Something that could thrive without him.
He turned his gaze back to Eury and frowned.
"Have you...been drinking?"

((OOC: Sorry for the wait, loads of nonsense lately. And pre confirmation David is sitting and Eury never fell.))
A voice rang out through her ear buds, and her head slowly turned from looking down at her ankle to the man on the bench. Well he had a point there, but that didn't mean her unclear mind couldn't question it. Even with her state she could hear the coldness in his voice. She stood up more straight with the transparent water bottle that held a clear liquid substance inside. Blinking in his direction because his face looked so familiar she tried to place it and immediately it hit her. The Storm Dragon. Recently she had seen a poster of him, but that wasn't the first time she saw his face. She didn't feel like trying to remember at the moment. Removing the buds the music still played as his inquiry came. She glanced at the bottle and then down at him from her standing position.
"Well..it isn't water."
Oh sarcasm. The gift that keeps on giving. The contents of the bottle was Eury's own mix of strong liquors with a few added things. From her experimentation days she wasn't able to get drunk easily so if she wanted to then she need lots and lots over a course of time. But even then so if it wasn't a constant flow it'd just fade like nothing. Like now, she slowly started to feel it wearing off to her disdain, but this wasn't like her to begin with. She hopped a little to straighten herself more, her face showing a small distortion to the pain in her ankle. Hazel greens trailing again towards him a hint of displeasure in her voice was apparent but not towards him. Towards the fact that she couldn't quiet stay drunk. Who would really want to? Except Eury wanted an escape and yea guess it was the easiest yet the hardest in her case.
"Well that was a bust... It's already starting to wane anyways..*sighing* Storm Dragon right?"

David glanced over when she said it wasn't water.
"Looking to kill your liver, then? There are much easier and less painful ways to die than liver failure"
David drank- sure. But drinking consistently in this time of day? Walking around with a bottle of alcohol? Not his thing. If someone wanted to commit suicide by booze....she seemed to be working along those lines. He watched the civilians, continuing to wonder at whether or not they understood or even cared about the changes ahead. Probably not....they seemed only to care about protection for them and their families. Didnt really care who did the protecting.
He nodded, absent mindedly, at her question of his title.
"You must have arrived just recently, if your confirming I am who I am. Your name?"
OOC: Sorry for the wait!

[OOC: Apologies so many things happening at once. And just curious, I'ma assume he of course is still suspicious considering from that previous thread where she was brought up in? By all means whatever can play out, down for stuffies ^^]
The bottle hit the floor with a small bounce as she let it go nonchalantly taking a hobbled step towards where he sat. That crack she tripped over caused a light sprain in her right ankle, nothing major. It wouldn't even last an hour the way it felt so long as she just rested it a bit. His comment without hesitation caused a chuckle from her lips.
"If it was possible I might reconsider, but I'm unable to even really sustain a drunken state anyways.."
Hazel greens glanced down towards him since for the time being she was taller than he, the distance between the two being about five steps or so away. Indeed she was relatively 'new', yet she wasn't 'new' at all. Just been missing long enough that so much had occurred within her absentee period. Again her voice rung with a casual nonchalant tone.
"I guess you can say something like that in a technical sense, I happened to see one of those filers.. And it's Eurydice, how about you? I'm sure you weren't born Storm Dragon unless your parents had some imagination."

His eyes came up to her and watched her move, eyebrow twitched a little as she gave her name.
"David. Your Eurydice? Like, Leons wife?"
Les had said she met her...but it was weird to see her after so long. They hadn't ever talked face to face, but he had seen her with Leon before, and not to mention he had heard about her from others.

Eury rotated her ankle a little feeling it out again. It wasn't bad at all actually already starting to feel a little better. She probably over-exaggerated the feeling due to be slightly impaired but now that had worn off so quickly - thank you genetics tampering - she was realizing it was well.
"David. Your Eurydice? Like, Leons wife?"
Hazel greens slowly rose to meet his stare. There was something about the way he questioned her that gave her pause. Eury was always a weary woman. Cautious about practically everything or rather everyone. Her circle of trust was extremely small and hadn't grown in many years. She recalled Oleysa mentioning being the 'Voice' of the Storm Dragon so there had to be a strong connection between the two. But the point was what did she say to him if anything about her? Then again what would she need to say? After all when they met they didn't know each other and Eury hadn't announced herself to be his wife, if she did then well she'd understand the white haired woman speaking up.
But again the brunette was possibly over thinking matters as usual. Her name wasn't common to mistaken for another. Leon was her husband and even though she tried to stay out of the light of most things it was inevitable that she would be known to some degree. Yet still, it was just something about the look on his face coupled with the tone. Her brow twitch up matching his, before her weight shifted to her left leg.
"I suppose there's no use in denying that considering how many Eurydice's could you possibly know."
Now her eyes studied him over. His face starting to become a bit familiar like, but she couldn't place where just yet. It was strange considering the type of memory she had. She remembered a lot of things and faces. She wasn't able to forget them. Yet she has lost her memory twice now? So much with her was even stranger nowadays. It hurt her to try and recall certain times. Power being all wonky. Daughters missing and her unable to look for them because she was adhering to Leon's request. Not to mention she was accused of being a spy but that seemed to maul over, or at least she thought so.

David grunted in agreement. He had even met the girl once, he believed, but it had been so long ago he just couldn't be sure so he wouldnt mention it. Scratching at the slight stubble under his chin, he looked over at her.
"Well...? What can I do for the Queen of the Lightning Tower?"
David didn't bother looking her over- she seemed to blend in rather well, and he supposed if she didn't want him to find her or see her in public, she could make it so.

O__o
~The who of the what?~
Eury wasn't an idiot. She knew what he was talking about it just caught her off guard a bit causing her to look at him in a comical blinking fashion. Though she believed in a queen protects her king, she still didn't fancy herself as one. Or as any type of royalty in truth. Being married Leon obviously meant whatever role he assumed she'd somehow willingly or not would be given the title that followed suit. After a moment of just blinking she rolled her eyes with a small tsk sound coming from her lips as she finally decided to take a seat next to him.
"Lord tell me that's not being passed around as a greeting."
She mused actually thinking about it afterwards. But Eury wasn't one for titles, though she was given a few, she just let it be. For her she couldn't hold the strong significance of needing to have one like some did. Nevertheless she shook her head with a smile and a chuckle.
"Queen of the Lightning Tower..Yeeeaaa let's not. I've never been one for titles really anyways."
A momentary pause.
"It's not hard to tell when a man has something on his mind."
It was a way of asking without truly speaking the words. Most of her friends were guys so she was used to, but especially around Leon. He didn't have to say anything really. She wasn't a woman to pry, but she's surprisingly one that was easy to talk to. Some have told her that she gives off a comforting feeling when spoken to. Has she personally made that notion of herself? No. But it's what she's heard so it must be true?

David would turn his eyes to her.
"But that's who you are, whether you want the title or not."
He blinked. Leon was king, or so he said. That made her his queen. He would turn away as she said something was bothering him. He took a deep breath, leaning back and folding his arms.
"We just met. Lets not spoil the possibilities of our friendship with that discussion."
He promptly changed the subject.
"So, where have you been? You haven't exactly marched with Leon here and there. You guys splitting or what?"
Yeah, blunt.

"Yeah it's inherited but I rather you not call me that."
Before her statement her eyes had playfully rolled at the notation. Again it was true but she didn't wish to be addressed as such. She had a name and rather that be used over some random title she got just from beginning married to the guy. As he leaned back she was in the middle of stretching out her legs and lazily leaning back against the bench, her head tilting up towards the sky until he began to speak. She looked from her peripherals towards him realizing she seemed to strike a small nerve, well that and he seemed a bit upset. At least she was right. She didn't expect him to say anything she was more or less outwardly announcing her observation. Yet here came the part where she let out a small chuckle as she brought her head back into a straightened position that had her facing the crowd of people as oppose to looking at the sky. She noted the contradiction quickly.
"Heh, talk about spoiling the possibilities yet you ask that huh..."
She found men to be funny that way. It was usually ok for them to do what they asked others not to. She didn't mind him being blunt she could be just same, after all Eury tended to dish out what she received most of the time. She really didn't care too much for his inquiry she expected to be ask where she had been countless times the more she ran into people. Yet she managed to constantly avoid it cause she could be considered an elusive woman. But here it was.
"Seemingly not..and apparently dead from what Leon has told me... Well you can't march with someone who seems to be absent as of late no?"
She shrugged.
It was the truth, they told her she had been dead or so they thought. Obviously that wasn't the case she was very much alive. Which of course was obviously questionable to all around. Two years she was missing and tada like magic she just showed up again. No memories of her time missing. Speaking of missing the last portion was a nod to the fact that he's been M.I.A. as of late and no she didn't know where he was. She was too busy training to keep her mind off of things and not to mention showing she wasn't a spy. That was becoming annoying. Even Leon had his small doubts just because of his past with Barker. Yay fun times.

David shrugged.
"Whatever you'd like."
He turned his attention back to the people around him. To the shops and, in the distance, the great walls around his territory. She said something about an absent commander and he grunted.
"Preaching to the choir here."
David had been trying to get the other Elders more involved for a long, long time. Never did it help. He reached up and scratched his head.
"So you don't live in the tower, I'm assuming?"

Her head tilted his way looking him over. Suddenly it was becoming a questionnaire. She shook her head because men seemed to do that all too often. Do what? Do what they asked you not to of course. Double standards were funny. Hypocrisy was even more hilarious.
"So this is twenty one questions now? But of course just me."
She looked forward, lazily brushing some hair away from her face as some wind blew it there.
"What else are you going to ask? What's my favorite color? ..Why is it I magically turned up now?.. Or better yet am I secretly a Barker spy? Maybe mind controlled by someone to infiltrate. Or maybe I'm a shapeshifting assassin and choose the most logical person to go in undercover as. The one person that could get the closest. But if I was I would say no now wouldn't I?"
She spoke casually yet blunt, just throwing it in the air without a care. So what if he did take her in that light, he wouldn't be the first and certainly probably not the last. It was a good question anyways, besides it's not like she remembered the two year gap. But did she really need to be the one to say it? To put the bug out there and potentially make it worse with her logic? No, but that was how Eury was from time to time...reckless.

David turned and looked at her, staring up at her and inspecting the female.
"You approached me, remember? And I said I didn't want to talk about why I didn't seem in a good mood, I never said you couldn't ask me questions. Sorry for trying to start a conversation- if you'd prefer, we can sit here in silence, or can feel free to carry on with your day elsewhere. Just don't get your panties in a bunch over nothing."
He stared at her, speaking just as bluntly.

~Oh this is seriously rich.. Apparently somebody has a really short term memory.~
Eury was honestly trying extremely hard not to laugh as he spoke. She wasn't upset, so clearly the one with their panties in a bunch was him. She was more or less just putting it all out there instead of one after another to build up to the most important inquiry. If he was looking at her it would be clear the smirk on her face from his words while she looked forward as a muffled chuckle finally managed to break through. When she spoke there was no anger, just a calm, cool tone.
"And this is why I said it wasn't hard to tell you had something on your mind..It didn't mean to tell me, but let's just straighten out a few things..One, I didn't approach you. You spoke up and I politely responded instead of completely ignoring..I could've asked you something but when a man has something on his mind like you seemingly do questions have to be picked accordingly.. I'm not the one randomly snapping at who didn't ask who, or whatever.."
~And remove the stick that's shoved up there pretty far.~
She knew when to hold her tongue. Did she want to say it? Maybe but no. Clearly there was something wrong. Especially with him ignoring the accusations she made against herself. Really? He focused on questioning if it was 21 questions time, rather that notion?
"I'll give you this, you didn't say I couldn't ask..But talk about spoiling possibilities, your hostility is doing that all on its own. But I'm used to it.. Ran into the same kind of nature from your Voice being called a Barker spy and all.. She's tenacious no?"
Their conversation could go either way. But was she really wrong? She wasn't upset. She wasn't snapping. She was sitting there with the utmost calm even though she found it a bit amusing. Men and their pride and ego, it was a pain to fight through that. If there was something he didn't want to say then she wouldn't pursue it. That was made pretty clear.
