"...yes. They always have been, that much hasn't changed; the one I knew was Mister Blaze. If my sister was around, she could better tell you. But, she's not."

He licked his lips, wincing.
"Can i have....some water?" Once/if she got him some, he hoped she wouldn't leave. "Could you...stay and talk for a while? It's not like i have anyone coming to visit."
He hadn't been familiar with everyone here....so he'd like to at least talk with someone. If she decided to stay he'd continue.
"Your sister. What happened to her?"

Arianna glanced towards the clock and nodded at his request. She wouldn't have to go far, and soon returned with a glass of ice chips, and a pitcher of water. He might be as annoyed as every other patient ever was with the ice chips, but...she handed him the cup and poured a sip of water in.
"Ice chips, for now, but I'll give you a bit of water. We'll give your body time to adjust from the anesthesia."
She settled back down, putting the pitcher beside her and picking up the cup she'd left behind.
Allen's question caused her eyes to veer down to her cup.
"I don't know what happened. I had a letter from her a handful of years ago...but she wasn't where she said she'd be. And there was no trace of her otherwise."

"....."
His response was soft.
"I'm sorry to hear that." He turned his gaze back on the ceiling as well, sipping out of the cup without argument. If he was annoyed, he didn't show it.
"My brother and sister vanished too. I haven't seen them since i was fifteen."

"Not your fault." She glanced at him, eyes mostly closed and with a warm but weary expression. "There's nothing to be done about it, now."
She let that sit a moment.
"I'm sorry about your siblings, too. It doesn't fix it but at least we can empathise with one another."
She supposed. It seemed a bit of a bitter comfort.

He agreed with her on that.
"Was he always a stuck up asshole? David, I mean. I lived with his family for a while....he trained me in many things. Never really nice about the beat downs either."
He adjusted and took another drink, looking back to her as he pushed memories of his family out of his mind.

"He cares for his people...apparently he still has the same personality from before, so I doubt that's changed. But..." She trailed off, half-frowning. "Stuck up arse? I suppose that's one way to describe him. I certainly wanted to tear a strip out of him a few times."
Lo and behold, she sort of still did - if for similar and new reasons - as evidenced by her slap upon seeing him the other day.

"Did he say why he doesn't remember you?"
He'd never heard him speak about Arianna or her sister.
"How close were you?"
He then blinked.
"I'm....asking too many personal questions, aren't I?"

"You are, yes. But I'm only sharing what I'm comfortable with." An eyebrow raised slightly, so she continued on. "He and I were never particularly close, and I didn't know him that well. And as for what he told me, it's not mine to share. But, in essence, the events caused him to lose his body and his memory."

Allen chewed his lip.
"Then....he's not really your David, right? I'd wonder what he meant when he says he doesn't remember. I've heard him talking about things in his sleep before, when we were out on training missions together before Cabal."
He scratched his head a little.
"I wish you'd known Leon, too. I'd like to get to know him. The man is a mystery."

"Not really, I suppose, but it's still him all the same. There's no saying a person without their memories is or is not the same person they were." She stared a moment, wondering if she really wanted to know and how much of a difference it would make, in the end. And then, she figured it didn't matter one way or another but she could be curious all the same. "What sort of sleep talk?"
She inhaled slightly, and then moved her shoulders. "I'll have to get to know him, I suppose."
Considering she was evaluating the entire place and its supervisors.

He shrugged.
"I don't...really remember. Things about something called chaos, um...titan circles? I don't know, things like that. It's been years and years so i'm sure theres more. Oh, someone named Damien. And Kyrie, I think. Gods. Weird shit. I stuffed cotton in my ears because it went on and on."
He took another drink, but didn't remember anything else.

Arianna's fingers curled tighter against the mug, and she was intent and intense in her search of Allen's face, prying, looking for anything of a falsehood or that he was omitting something. Anything. Or that he was somehow leading her on.
"...Kyrie's my sister. Damien, his brother...my former fiancé." She was quiet, but didn't pry further, nor ask any more questions.

Allen's brows went up, and his soft, slightly shocked response came after.
"Oh."
He wasn't....quite sure what to do with this information. He sat up, trying to right himself.
"Um...okay. He said um...not to kill her, I think? Some apologies, something about uh...Damien being alive or um, knowing he's alive? Um..."
He chewed his lip, but seemed genuinely at a loss. The meds, the pain, his own events were all interfering with his thoughts.
Still, he tried.

Allen's shifting - and struggle to sit - immediately drew her attention. She stood and moved closer to put a gentle but firm hand against his shoulder. Her cup was set down so her other hand could brace his back and guide him to lay back down.
"Uh uh uhh, no, lay down, it's fine." She didn't try to stop him from speaking, and his words made her...ill. But she could and would have to push it away, and instead worked on soothing her patient. "Thank you, Allen. I don't want you straining yourself, so rest."
So saying, she would help make him comfortable again.
