"Yes!"
She says, not clearing that up much more.
"Tail missing! Balance not good!"

"Hey, I mean my balance isn't THAT bad. Is it? And I never had a tail. Can't be missing something I never had."

"Not BAD bad. I have good good! Tail would make it...mmm...better?"
Maybe they could make him a prosthetic tail? Hmmm.
She's still gazing at his rear in thought.

"I don't have a place for a tail though. That's why I practice."

She nods, now understanding better!
"Try again?"
She wanted to see how well he'd do without her startling him!

"Sure, I can do that."
He would fill up the bowl, placing it on his head carefully. Making sure it was balanced before removing his hand slowly away. Then he would begin to move forward, slower than Sessha did, and without the advantage of the tail. But he could do it without spilling the water. It just took him slower and with focus and concentration.

If anything, Sessha didn't seem any less impressed. He could do it if he was more careful, but he could do it!
"Oh, oh! You do it good! Why practice?"
He seemed like a natural!

He was not a natural. For many weeks that bowl fell every time.
"Because I want to do better. And if I don't practice I could get worse."

She'd nod in understanding.
"Much like the fighting, yes. Not do make you forget how."

"Kind of, yeah. You lose muscle memory. And there are always way we can improve."

"What you do with grace?" she'd ask. She knew being balanced was good for crossing narrow spaces and to stay upright in general...but the grace part was new to her!

"Swordsmanship for one. One of the most important aspect is your footwork. But there are all kinds of reason to practice it, swordfighting, dancing.... performing."
Though the last one was technically something he shouldn't do, it being beneath his station.

"What perform?" she'd ask excitedly!

"Balancing acts, like on a ball, or on a tight rope. You gotta have good balance and grace to do it, and look good doing it."

She tilts her head, trying to picture such acts.
"Is is game?"
