Emily walked along the streets of L.A., sighing as she hadn't found any part-time job appropriate for her.
There were times when she'd find a job as a cashier, but Emily hated numbers as much as cockroaches. Sometimes it's one of those business opportunity type of work; Tempting... - yes, but very risky. Emily didn't want to spend anything on such risky things.
Her money was the product of hard work, long nights, aching fingers, crumpled papers and headaches!
'Fucking area needs to give us a job!'
'... we can always try tomorrow?'
'Fuck your tomorrows, I'd rather go to bed!'
'Uru Sai, Kari-baka.'

*BUMP* In The Road... Again. Walking home again. Walking home again in this heavy coat, the scarf, and jeans. Still cold. Back to the restaurant where it was warm. Take off this weary backpack. Cook himself something. Tend to the customers. Yes. That was his routine in life. But considering the fact that he was slightly self-motivated, and trying to study at home through his own will power, he hoped to get some credit for being 'home-schooled'. He'd just need to discuss it with the new Supervisor, sometime soon.---*WHOOMP*Falling backwards, ass falling on the ground, he shook his head. In front of him was a... brown-skinned girl."..Oye... sorry about that..."...Seem to be doing this a lot, lately...
Brushing himself off as he got up, to get a better view of the girl.

Emily flew back. Yes, she flew. Along with the folder filled with character designs and sketches of random things. It scattered all over the pavement and she shook her head. "Itai..." she said, pulling down her skirt. That was it. NO MORE SKIRTS! EBAR!!
Emily bowed her head low, muttering a sorry just as she started picking up the papers with all the speed she could still muster. Darned girl had to walk almost the entire city for work! ... that was an exaggeration, but still insane just the same.

OOC: Sorry. Its to the point....Well, That's A Better View... *Cough* Some serious aerodynamics going on. The girl before him seemingly blasted backwards... skirt flying up, just as a bunch of various pieces of papers blinded "Unfettered". Calmly looking down at the paper, he glanced up just at her skirt again, for the sake of looking, before getting up as he did in the aforementioned way, and hunched down to his knees again. Hands quickly going over the papers, grabbing at the edges, sorta just helping her out, as he pinched them into a pile with his left hand. Towards the end, when they'd both gotten all of them, he held up his share---"Here you go, Miss..---"---Eye glanced at the pictures. And froze. He held onto the pictures. If he still had his left eye.. they'd both be open with shock."...M-Ma'am...?" Eye flicked back and forth between her and the paper. And his right hand began to flick through them. "..Incredible..." he whispered.....
Incredible.
..Could she be?...

"Arigatou, but...I want them back now, onegai...?" Emily said, standing up and placing a hand on the paper on his hands as if waiting for him to let go of them so she can be well on her way home.
Good thing that it looks like this guy doesn't know just WHO this artist was in the manga world - Emily wouldn't want to be recognized as Kari Aoyama just yet. But that was a possibility she was prepared for.
"Mou...?"

OOC: To the point. Sorry if its choppy. These Are... "Arigatou, but...I want them back now, onegai...?" "Mou...?" She'd place a hand on the papers, but right now, he could not let this person leave. He was flipping through the pages.. and well, to say he was impressed? That was a DAMN huge understatement. His single eye went up to meet hers."Ma'am." handing back the pages, a smile growing.."..I've been looking for someone with your talent. Have some free time, maybe walk with me? May be worth your time.. if you don't have a job already, that is." he said, beckoning towards the direction of where he lived, the restaurant.
Thing is?
If she already had a job, he was SCREWED. So, by smiling rather warmly, he was trying to hide his fears of rejection and/or disappointment, in this scenario.

"Ma'am... I've been looking for someone with your talent. Have some free time, maybe walk with me? May be worth your time.. if you don't have a job already, that is."
Phew. Her Identity was safe for now.
This must be her lucky day; bumping into someone who could just give her a job she might want. "I don't have a job." she told him, blinking.
This was the closest emotion to shock that Emily had exhibited in quite a while.
Well, things might be doing well in the next few days.

Cutting To The Chase "I don't have a job." "Than walk with me." he replied, grinning. Moseying along to feel, waiting up for her, smiling back at her, once she'd start walking with him, he'd continue walking at a rather easy pace. "...I run a newly opened restaurant.... but advertisements have only been through word, I'm afraid. Progress has been slow, at best."'And that's where you come in'. Right, except... that sounded like he was over flattering her, and over flattering himself. And he felt in no way, shape, or form that he was in any position to do that. Truth be told? His confidence had been a little low. And, well... lets see if this girl was possibly what he'd been looking for, for quite some time now?...
..Possible 'Advertisement Manager'... huh?

"Than walk with me." Well, Emily wouldn't really have much of a choice other than follow him. Though this guy sounded like a possible employer; he looked just as old - if not a bit older than her.
"...I run a newly opened restaurant.... but advertisements have only been through word, I'm afraid. Progress has been slow, at best."
Ah, I see. That explains it.
"So... you're looking for a person to make advertisements...?" she asked plainly in a strict monotone as usual. Meh, she was pretty boring.

A couple of feet in front of Unfettered and Emily's conversation, a commotion was being made in a restaurant, loud enough for people on the other side of the street to hear. The people inside the resturant bore witness to a very brutal argument. The two occupants were at each others throats. The first was the owner, and the second was a recently hired Jr. cook, Thomas Cooper. The whole argument was about the type of pasta used in a dish, as well as the sauce advertised.
"That shit couldn't pass for dog food! Fettuccine Alfredo my ass! That dish is a discrace to my cooking talents!!"
Tom yelled, furious at the lack of thought into the simple Italian dish. The owner responded in his own way. Grabbing Tom by the waist and shoulder and picking him up, the owner threw Tom out of the front door of the resturant. "Good! I quit you..." As Thomas was going on for a second round of choice words, he noticed Unfettered and Emily a couple of feet from where Tom was standing. Thomas had heard of and seen Unfettered at Public High School a couple of times recently, but the second person Thomas had yet to hear about. Wondering what exactly they were 1.Talking about, and 2.Walking to, Tom decided to keep his angry words to himself. Straightning his cooks uniform, he looked towards Unfettered and Emily with a nervous smile on his face.
"You didn't hear any of that did you?"

"So... you're looking for a person to make advertisements...?" Nod. He raised an eyebrow at her---"That shit couldn't pass for dog food! Fettuccine Alfredo my ass! That dish is a discrace to my cooking talents!!" Huh...?"Good! I quit you..." Left hand thrusted forward, as "Unfettered" blocked the girl's path, as a boy was thrown out. Eyeing him. Had he seen him before? Maybe among the masses, but he didn't know the boy's name. Familiar? Possibly..."You didn't hear any of that did you?"Smirk."Every vord of eet." Eyeing the apparent owner of that first provoking voice, he smiled. Noting in particular... the cook's uniform. Today had just gotten better."..Hmm... you cook?"

"Every vord of eet."
The response to Tom's question wasn't as bad as he first thought it would be. Maybe it was because of the cool accent? Or could it be the smirk that followed that lessened the embarrassment? Probably the accent.. After a moments worth of silent pondering, the silence was broken with a question directed toward Thomas.
"..Hmm... you cook?"
Tom took some time to think about the question. Did Thomas cook? Well sure! Tom can cook in a variety of styles. Tom does not stand for wrongly labeled dishes not having fresh supplies, as shown only minutes before. Brushing himself off again, Tom answered the question in an inquiring tone.
"Sure do. Why do you want to know? ... Are you hirin'?"
The idea came to Tom a bit late, but at least it came to him. Maybe today is a lucky day for Tom? Unfettered response will determine!

"Interesting how probable employees just run into you." The girl said, looking at the young man donned in a chef's outfit.
She closed her eyes and sighed. There wasn't really much to say either.

Quick, To The Point! "Sure do. Why do you want to know? ... Are you hirin'?" A slow nod and a smile."Interesting how probable employees just run into you." "Zat is apparently so..---"Oh. Right. He laughed a little, shaking his head, as he backed himself away, bowing towards them. "Forgive me... I am.. forgetting my manners, ja?"
"I am "Unfettered"... owner of ze Deutsche Küche Restaurant. Pleased to meet you all." Beckoning towards them with a rather pleasant smile and a glow in his eye, as if to ask for their names in turn.

Emily began fixing the drawings she had on her hand. Well, they've gotten pretty much out of order since that ... collision.
"I have two legal names, which do you prefer?" Emily told him as she fondled with her papers. She was in the mood to disclose her Japanese name. That name who had fame attached with it...
Kari didn't know if this man knew her, or her graphic novels.
She sighed, and hopefully wished for a good nap. Yes, that would be good right now.
