Well he wasn't lightning fast at least, since he wasn't immediately upon her. She keeps her ears listening for his steps in particular, careful to know just how close he was getting.
She turns down an alleyway, looking to weave through side streets and buildings in an effort to lose him.

As Nova heads into the alley, blue fire erupts a few feet ahead of her, blocking the span of the alleyway!

When Nova gets to the top, she finds Junior slightly above her, his feet covered in the same blue fire.
