Recruiting Cain and Cara

A message would reach the PT's of both Cain and Cara to meet Master Demisho at the entrance to the Training Field for details regarding recruitment to the Government Security Force.

Master Garruk Demisho would be calmly awaiting to arrival fo the Graduates by balancing the point of his sword on his finger. While his body seemed to be like fluid water, wavering and swaying with every small breeze, the sword sat perfectly still.

[Cain Rhamos]

Cain watches, his brow furrowing at the sight.

What in the fuck? How was this possible?

He doesn’t say anything though.

[Cara Dunn]

Cara wasn't surprised to see a message so much as she was what it was for, but she followed the instructions with a shrug to herself. When she reached the training field, curious about the assignment and finding two familiar faces already there, including one that made her smirk as she caught sign of Cain. It was tempting to tease him with a 'boo,' but the display of Master Demisho's swordplay drew her attention.

"Good to see you both again." She watched, intrigued, noting the way the man flowed like a branch in the wind.

Master Demisho flicks his finger flipping the sword around practially in an instant holding it in his hand as if it wasn't even there, his grip even appearing loose as he sheathed it.

"Hello and welcome both of you. Miss Dunn it has been some time. When a report of what happened at Blackwater with both of you involved crossed my desk I couldn't take even a moment to read through them. I've called you both out here today to discuss possibly scouting the both of you for the Government Security Force, the department where I work."

[Cain Rhamos]

Cain nods to Cara when she arrives, still apparently concentrating on figuring out how the man was performing this trick.

As usual, all things weapon-related fascinated him.

"What does the Government Security Force do, exactly?"

Cain's not completely familiar with it.

[Cara Dunn]

Cara watched as the sword their instructor ended the display, remembering how he seemed to always have an almost casual flow to his movements. It was different from how she'd seen other people use a sword, but she couldn't tell anything of how he did it.

She frowned slightly at the mention of Blackwater, wondering what made Demisho jump to reach out to them immediately.

"Why us?" Since Cain asked the first question that came to mind.

[Zack Asiv]

Master Demisho would address them in order.

"Well, on the surface we are a special task force that is trained specifically in the protection, movement, and counter assault of a VIP asset. We interact and cooperate with foreign protection units and other nobility and dignitaries to provide them with safety and security."

He would then look at Cara.

"The two of you displayed skills and abilities I could pin point as very useful for the job I just described. Adept Rhamos is a front lines combatant able to assess his situation on the fly and adapt in unusual ways. Showing his ability to see things that others don't. Adept Dunn your accuracy and ability to over view a scene and take action without immediate direction shows your ability to provide over watch and quick thinking."

[Cain Rhamos]

"And because of Blackwater, you want to strengthen your organization quickly, to gear it up when other things go wrong."

It's phrased as a question, but Cain is fairly sure that's the reason he was talking to them now.

[Cara Dunn]

Cara nodded after a moment, arms folded over her chest as she accepted the explanation. She'd see how Cain reacted on the field back in Blackwater; she believed the assessment.

"Well then, call me interested." She raised a brow. "But what's under the surface?"

[Zack Asiv]

Master Demisho smiles at Cain.

"Bluntly yes. Though, so is every other organization at the moment."

To Cara he raises an eye brow.

"Below the surface is only for members. But if you need a demonstration..."

Both Cara and Cain would feel their vision's blur... Hard.

"One should be popping up any minute now."

[Cain Rhamos]

Cain's vision swims, and as a result, he closes his eyes to counteract it, relying instead on his instincts.

"Is this... a test?"

He asks, even though he's trying to feel where the source of his blurred vision was coming from.

Once per thread he may use a Qi use to reroll a GM required roll. He must use the second result, even if it's worse.

She'd expected the first part; every force needed to rebuild, and of course secrets were kept from one another. No point in showing if the others wouldn't be involved. The demonstration was a surprise, along with her vision suddenly blurring. Cara blinked a couple of times to clear it, staying where she was as she focused with her other senses to pick up on any change in their surroundings.

If her vision didn't clear, she'd partially close her eyes, disliking the distraction any blurred shapes might be.
