Really? He wasn't thinking anything, that was all. He stopped thinking, and let his emotions carry him a bit. Only a bit. Yes, he got the hint. Finally, it took him long enough didn't it? Well.. better late than never, I guess. Well he should hope, considering all the crap she's been through. If they hooked up earlier, who knows. But not like it was of any consequence now. Nothing could be done.
Definitely not bad
It was nice, that's the only way he could describe it. Because he didn't know how to describe it. Nice, great, wonderful. Whatever way someone would actually describe it when they were actually versed by this, he wouldn't ever know. Probably. Maybe he'd get experience with this sort of thing over time, but it wasn't like he had it now. This would be the first actual kiss HE initiated. What a day of firsts!

Kate felt over whelmed. She stepped, back to break the kiss and just look at him. Her mask felt as if it was suffocating her. Her fingers slid up and tugged the sleek black mask off, so that her eyes could properly look at Vale. Her pale cheeks were flushed and her eyes soft.
"Vale. Valekin...."
She smiled slightly, still confused. Did he really meant the kiss, or was he just curious? Kate was hoping with all that she had that he meant it. She lifted the hand that had been on his arm to trace his lips. Soft, gentle, Kate felt as if this moment would break if he realized what he was doing. Only because this was Vale. Things like this never came from Vale. But she had to speak the words building up inside her person. Why? Just because they felt like exploding.
"...I love you Valekin."

"Yes?"
There was that time between the first things she said, and the I love you bomb. That time was where he had the inquisitive look on his face. He was wondering why she was saying his name, why she pulled away, and why she was touching his lips with her fingers. Then she dropped the I love you bomb. He had to think now, he had to dig deep. He hadn't dug too deep in a long time, he liked to remain on his surface. Looking back in retrospect, how he treated her in NY, how he had feelings for her then.
How they hung out together, and had a good time.
How they met back up in LA.
How things had moved the way they had.
He still had those feelings for him, and had never lost them... the death of his family... just took him away from it all.
It redirected his focus. Now he was focusing back on her.
"I believe I feel the same.. never felt this way before."

Kate smiled. Just slightly. Funny how cruel she could be on the inside. This was Vale. He had to mean was he said. He wouldn't lie to her! But there was still that little voice inside her mind, telling her he was lying.
"I'm happy to hear that... but Vale... I've been lied to so much... Don't mess with me. Don't ever lie to me please. I love you, but I feel as if I'll lose it if I get hurt again."
She'd kill him. Kill herself. Who knew? Kate would just snap. Her mind would cease to think correctly. This was the last time Kate would feel this way. The last man she would say those words to. If he was toying with her, it'd be all over for her. And it wasn't anything he had done. It had everything to do with what the others had done. And who could blame her? With all the shit she had been through, it was hard to trust.

"I don't even know how to lie to you right now. Hye..."
Well that was true. If he didn't know how to lie about this sort of stuff, or even know what to do in these sorts of situations or anything of that sort, then he couldn't possibly be lying to her. Also, he couldn't possibly be lying to her because he had no reason to, nor was he very capable of hiding the signs of lying at the moment, and none of them were going off.
"So....."
He cocked a brow at her, telling her to lead on, rather than letting him wing it and screw it all up. Boy that would suck.

"Glad to see you's is enjoyin' yerself!"
Now, if only they could announce the effing winner so he could get off the table---or did he need to flash somebody to start getting things moving again? After all, there was little left to imagination, considering how low Kevin's trousers were. It was nothing short of X-rated at this point. And it could only get worse.
(Can't think of anything else.)

Kate nodded. Valekin had no reason to lie to her. None at all. It was just something she felt needed to be said. Her slender fingers reached out, and she pulled herself toward him. Wrapping her arms around him in a gentle hug. Her head would lean on his chest, and Kate would just stand there. Valekin shouldn't be too freaked out with that, nor not know what to do. The blonde closed her bright eyes and relaxed.
Of course Vale would be almost hopeless in a relationship. At least when it came to the physical part. Well, it did seem like he was learning, even if only a little. That kiss had been rather shocking. Maybe, just maybe things would work out. Kate was having a baby, and the only father the child would ever know would be Valekin. Kate was happy with that, because she was sure Valekin would be a better father than the real one ever would. Of course Kate knew nothing about Hiroko currently. She had seen him briefly in what seemed forever ago, and that was that. She wasn't even really thinking of him. Just of the moment.

"Wha...---!?" Exhaustion. Even though he was concentrating to keep up a light layer of his Qi up, he just couldn't... cool down. Finally just letting it go, he sat at the stool, his face relatively blank, as he looked. Tempted to order something a bit... 'stronger' then Spezi. And yet still so incredibly frustrated at everything that was going on. that girl... that woman he was dancing with? He half wished that she'd followed him, actually. But, she was probably pissed that he just ditched her. Damn hormones. Face heated up, as he it bent over again.
Barely even took any notice, as the music stopped---"HEY there, party goers! I've tallied your nominations for the King and Queen of the masquerade, and as I call your name, give a hearty wave! TheVOTING will commence after this, and you will submit the names into the box up here on the front table."Ears perked up slightly, but he quickly chose to ignore it. "Oye... bartend. Do you have anything powerful?...~" hand waving rather lazily to Keith. Slowly just remembering at this point that this was the guy who had helped him get his restaurant started.---What the hell was he doing, working here?---"Now to announce our nominees for the evening. For the QUEEN of the masquerade, We have...Mitsuki Park, Calamity Scorn, and Eurydice Stone!!"Doubling over suddenly, as if he'd suddenly just been punched in the gut."WHAT!?"...Calamity... he looked over. The kabuki-masked girl. The one who took off her mask, gave the game away. Yes, THAT Calamity. ...Or more rather... 'Jenna'. The spotlight hung around her. And, you know... he couldn't quite guess how they had so accurately GUESSED that there she was, but..
No. More importantly, MITSUKI PARK!?
A hard stone dropped in his throat. She was here!?---Flashbacks rushed into his head, as he recalled a certain little... But he didn't stand up quickly enough, completely forgetting he ordered something. The turnover of the fact that he suddenly found himself curious of this 'Eurydice Stone' and where 'Mitsuki Park'. The spotlights had went away too fast. But he couldn't lose track of Jenna that easily, though. ...There was some guy stripping by her.--- "As for the KING of the masquerade, it seems our nominee is running unopposed! Good luck, not that you'll need it, to.."...Suddenly, he felt spotlight hitting him. He looked around. No. A mistake. Some kind of mistake. It was obviously the comatose person next to him that they had meant to---"Unfettered!" ...HOW DID THEY FIND OUT HIS NEW NAME!?
Besides... some people still didn't know whether or not to call him 'Jonathan', '"Thrush"', "Winters", or for the newer folk, "Unfettered", or what...
Standing up, he looked about. Some people cheering. His arm went up of its own accord, awkwardly waving at them, putting on a brazen smile, but the stone in his throat hadn't gone away. Dear Lord. If he still had a left eye, it would've twitched.
Anyways, he slunk back down into his seat. No way he could drink any alcohol now. ...Fucking sole contender for 'King'? That wasn't right. At all.
..A strange thought, a strange feeling entered his thoughts..."Place your votes NOW. Those who are running may place their votes as well. The winner..s..will be announced at Eleven! Good luck to all of you!""...Cancel that last order, Bartend..."Not even looking back to see if Keith had even heard him...
A feeling had entered him, and he didn't quite know what to make of it.
..A feeling of...

THE LONG AWAITED RESULTS!!!!!!@~!~!!ONE!!IC Time: 11 pm Dance Ends: 12 pm --- The votes came pouring in!!! Little pieces of paper stuck out through the wooden lidded box as it was carried up to the DJ's podium. Yes, DJ O-Livvy herself would be counting these votes, after all, she was curious...she had just unlocked the box when a voice shouted up to her from the side of the stage, a soft shout? The DJ quirked with attention, looking to the masked girl. "Anou... would you need anyone to do a song on stage?"She didn't recognize the first word. Annnnnnnnooouuu...but the rest was pretty clear to the violet haired woman. She smiled, leaning forward slightly so the girl could hear her and visa versa. "Sure thing! I'm going to be announcing the king and queen soon, would you like to sing the song they dance to?"She didn't wait for an answer. Instead, she would hand the girl a book of the slow songs she had in her repertoire, the backing tracks version. Oh yeah, A good DJ was ALWAYS prepared. Now onto those votes... A few were tossed aside as they were jokes....chewbacca? Srsly... .. The suspense was deafening...or maybe it was just the speakers... As the song ended, the DJ flipped the switch on the mic, her voice echoing over the crowd who, slowly realizing the time, began to rustle with excitement.. LADIES and GENTLEMASKS...If I could please have you attention for just a moment...
The votes are IN!!!"A roar of cheering, whooping, and scattered clapping. "This was a difficult decision but your votes and enthusiasm have all been taken into appreciation and amusement...so would the boy who is dancing on the bar please take a seat before he hurts himself.."A couple faint laughs and a 'get on with it already!' The DJ made a 'hmm?' face. "Oh, you want to know who won right?"Cheers. "I said, DO you want to know who wonnn?!?" The encouraging shouting was almost deafening. "ALRIGHT! If you could clear the center of the dance floor for a moment as my helpers step out with the crowns in hand, would the king and queen please step forward and claim their right when they are so called??" ... Contrastingly, the crowd was now dead silent. "This year's PHS 259's Masquerade King, is...UNFETTERED!"The spotlights were now on the empty circle of the dance floor where two black clothed people were holding out the King and Queen's crowns. Once they were rightfully handed over to the winners, they would disappear once more, leaving the space clear for the obligatory King/Queen dance. ..but what of the Queen? "And now, the Queen of this year's PHS 259 Masquerade dance...MITSUKI PARK! Congratulations!"Cheers for the winning two, and the DJ turned off her mic and flipped a switch to the song the masked girl had chosen, one of her assistants already setting her up with a mic and keyboard on the stage a little to the right of the DJ booth itself. A pale pink light rested on this mysterious musician, the other colors lingering on the dancefloor for the dance. Song: Arekara - Shimokawa MikuniFollowing songs: Screaming Infidelities - Dashboard ConfessionalTechnologic - Daft PunkKiss the Girl - Remix by Ashley Tisdale (Request :3)Freeeeeze! - Aural Vampire (Request)--- [[OOC: Everyone can join in dancing in the King/Queen song in the second half of the song <3 Still taking requests and stuffs so PM me, kthnxbai.]]

OOC: I made this really long post. Full of awesome-ness. But then my computer went gay and accidentally exited out of the window. :/
Now, you could only imagine young Calamity's excitement as she let her body slide from the bar top. Taking a few hurried steps towards the stage, but skidding to a stop to bring her drunkard ass back. Reaching for Kevin who was still dancing upon the bar, she was reaching for him, hurrying him off.
So much had gone wrong in her life. Maybe this night wouldn't have been such a troublesome night after all??? She told herself that. Over and over. Letting her smile come through as she'd turn towards the stage, listening silently.
"This year's PHS 259's Masquerade King, is...UNFETTERED!"
Brows furrowing. Who was Unfettered?
He must be new.
She shrugged it off.
Her blue eyes fell upon the cleared floor, watching as the spotlights swirled to the middle of the floor. And she stood on her tip toe's watching as the crowns were held high and she'd smile.
Maybe...just maybe...
After all, she had just as much as a chance as the other girls who had been nominated...right?
"And now, the Queen of this year's PHS 259 Masquerade dance..."
Maybe...
"MITSUKI PARK! Congratulations!"
Those hands that had been pressed against her lips in excitement fell to her sides. That bright smile, filled with so much hope, so much excitement fell from her lips.
And she was turning away from the people, letting those feet drag her in Kevin's direction.
Well, after all. One can only hope.

No response, but she was handed a book of songs. But the song she had in mind wasn't there! Emily was about to tell the DJ about this when her assistants seemingly read her mind and began fixing up a mic and a keyboard. Wow, certainly a mind-reader. Of course, she stood there - listening to the DJ announce the winners. Unfettered and Mitsuki... Mitsuki? Wasn't that the girl in AP Euro class? Yanno, with Mr. Winklewood. "And now, the Queen of this year's PHS 259 Masquerade dance...MITSUKI PARK! Congratulations!"Then the lights went crazy and the pink one shortly went to the place where she was - next to the already set-up keyboard and Mic. She looked at the crowd and bowed, managing to keep herself from making any eye contact that would make her nervous. Emily took a deep breath as she set her hands on the piano. She couldn't read notes, but she knew how to play this one song she was obsessed with a few years ago before Trapnest, Black Stones, and the Nana anime. Then she began to play. "Watashi nara... daijoubu... ...isogashiku... shiteru kara" The mangaka began to sing; her gentle voice ringing across the hall as she played the accompaniment. "Ganbatte iru yo.. sou, yakusoku shita kara demo kyuu ni, nakitaku naru keredo..." People began to dance slowly to the song in the corner of this girl's eye, and it was certainly relieving that people actually liked her song. She half-expected people to throw something at her. But apparently, that wasn't the case. "kimi to wakarete kara subete ga kawatta mitai de toori sugiru kaze no nioi mo chikatetsu no zattou mo" ... and people didn't understand the song, but the song itself was touching. Surely, there were certain japanese people like herself who could understand the meaning of the song. "machigai ja, nakatta yo ne? kasaneatte ita setsunasa mo subete ima wa mada, omoide to yobenai kuchibiru ni nukumori ga... kienai uchi wa . . ." Then she began playing that silence. The Piano did most of the singing on this part - and she was so into it that she realized that she lost her nervousness and she smiled. "kimi wa itsumo muri suru kara taisetsu na mono wo miushinaun da yo kondo mata dareka ai suru toki mou ichido ano koro wo omoidashite ne" Then a few more notes... "itsuka kimi to deaeru hi wa taiyou no you ni hohoendeitai . . ." ...and it was over: She had done it. Emily had sung a song on stage. She paused for a moment and exhaled a sigh of relief, standing to bow again at the audience before she left the sight of the spotlight and into her table again.

Sh!t..
"Reita said to make your life slightly on the miserable side today. I'm sorry but you know how Reita can easily influence people..."
"...."
As they were announcing the queen and king for the Masquerade, Andrew had literally grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her toward the crowd. People gave them odd looks, as Mitsuki was barefoot and both her hands were "tied" together in Andrew's grasp, and when she yanked back, he would only yank forward harder. Teeth ground into each other; why is it that no one can really piss her off except her brother and Andrew?
The third one, you don't have to know.
She gave a defeated sigh, the obvious frown on her lips disappearing and replaced with one that showed no sign of emotion: Apathetic, if you will. People knew who she was now, and there was no fun in that. She followed willingly, fingers itching to punch and claw out Andrew's beloved face. They had just announced the king - Unfettered - who Mitsuki had no knowledge of. Maybe he was in a different grade? And never got in trouble? Or maybe he was her age, and always got in trouble, but knew how to avoid such disastrous results?
Either way, if this were an anime, a rather large anime sweat drop would come off the side of her head when she heard the announcements for the queen. With a final push, Mitsuki stumbled into the opening for the slow dance, barefoot. Her hair whipped around when she abruptly turned to look for Andrew, but he was no where in sight.
She stood alone, attention turned toward the girl who began to sing. It was a rather sad song, but slow; a person in black handed her the crown, as she refused to place it on her head. Loosely held in her hands, she stood there silently, very much wanting to go home. What was the point in being "Queen" or "King" of a dance? To raise one's self esteem and lower another's? Why did girls want this plastic crown that could easily break if you bend it in half? Better yet, who would want to wear it?
Well, that answer was simple.
Every other girl out there, I guess.
She wondered... What would happen if she broke it?
Better yet... What would happen if she gave it to someone else?
Or... What if she broke it, and gave the pieces to other people?
An uproar?
And suddenly the mask was bothering her face. Not only did she want to take that off, but she wanted to get home. Wear sweats and not this stupid dress.
Heh...
What a depressing song.
People might think of the song to be "pretty" if they don't understand the lyrics. Then again, doesn't the word, "pretty" seem a bit fake?
Well then...
It sounds 'pretty'...but the meaning behind it is actually depressing.
She could only assume that the girl who was singing went through something like a heartbreak.

OOC: Okay... to everyone?
..My sincerest apologies... ._.The Sum Of All... ...? A strange feeling... oh really? The pounding, pounding of the floor, the almost inane cheering, the feeling of sensations of being overwhelmed... It reminded him of.. Sort of like that impending feeling of absolute doom. Or something terribly more dreadful.
Could've been anything. Sudden the sudden lack of music. That booming voice, echoing into everyone's ears. The feeling of being watched over every corner by more then just some random passerby. Or perhaps just the world's way of saying that the night was ever progressing, whether the world in that boat was or not.LADIES and GENTLEMASKS...If I could please have you attention for just a moment...
The votes are IN!!!"Doom?
Yes, doom."This was a difficult decision but your votes and enthusiasm have all been taken into appreciation and amusement...so would the boy who is dancing on the bar please take a seat before he hurts himself.."Meticulously, his eye would traverse over to the pole dancer variant of a male stripper. Some laughs? Yes. But a strange feeling went over his body, as he thought about it more, though the fact that he was thinking over THAT was strange in itself. Why? ..Because, well... aside from the gals, that guy was obviously going to be attracting more then then the tender little kittens in the crowd... But that was L.A. for you. Of course, he didn't know the boy's preferences, but for himself, the thought made it all the more appealing. Standing up, he spun his chair away, towards to the dance booth."Oh, you want to know who won right?"There was that warmth again. Heat from the forest of living breathing bodies, humidifying the air into the equivalent of a jungle on the equator. Hands lay relaxed, as he smoothed his way over, long, forceful strides."I said, DO you want to know who wonnn?!?" F*@#... worst place to be in...
Anyone bothering to look in his general direction would see a white-haired boy, strange mask on, with both hands cringing around his ears, as if he could somehow dig the screams of a hundred dying unborn children out of his ears."ALRIGHT! If you could clear the center of the dance floor for a moment as my helpers step out with the crowns in hand, would the king and queen please step forward and claim their right when they are so called??" Slight recovering.
More because he had to.
...The contrasts in the dance area were too fast-paced for him. First, a few hours of consistently noisy, sloppy dancing, filled with inebriated students. Followed up by about a good bit of abrupt stops, resuming of music, more abrupt stops, and then dead silence, filled with deafening cheering every so often. Some, who figured themselves to be 'cool', said nothing, some of the more spirited roared out with all their might. This was 259, after all, and win or lose, it was just a silly competition, ja?---"This year's PHS 259's Masquerade King, is...UNFETTERED!"FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF uck.
Forgot about that little detail, now, didn't we? Or... did we not?...
From the look about his face, you couldn't really tell. More specifically, his mouth, really. His eyes---eye, thankfully enough, was well concealed (as it was for the better part of the entire evening thus far), up to this point. But, again, thankfully, very few people had known about his legal change of his name, thus far. Was rather amusing, actually. Jonathan... "Thrush"... "Unfettered"? Hahahahahaha... well, as annoying as it was, it could still play to his advantage. A few ideas sparking---"And now, the Queen of this year's PHS 259 Masquerade dance...MITSUKI PARK! Congratulations!"---Suddenly, regret. Hours of it. More specifically involving grinding with a mysterious black woman, kissing, and... and... and...
"Jonathan" stayed in the crowd. "Thrush" hid in the crowd. "Unfettered", however, watched aloofly, as the girl went on to get her mask. Intrigued in her. She was the green-dressed girl from before. The school captain. And quite honestly, enough people had noticed her out of the crowd to come up with this one diminutive detail... It wasn't just the mask they voted for. It was the one who was wearing the mask. And unless he kept his rather rigid and stoic outlook, he was afraid what else he might have done in contrast.
Actually, while on that topic, why was HE nominated? There were only three possibilities he could sum up. 1. Apparently, word of his restaurant had gone around enough to build up his reputation. 2. Apparently, his mask was just that impressive looking. 3. He was just that impressive looking (insert sarcastic scoff of disgust here). 4. People were just fucking with him.
Considering, he actually found that last one very possible...
...More rather, if anyone had seen the 'swastika' on his eye-patch, of his other eye... that may have caught some attention. Maybe.
As usual, however, with the constant thinking and whirring, "Unfettered" had completely forgotten about the other participants, poor Miss Eurydice Stone, and his 'good friend' Calamity Scorn. But then, as a guy, he could only be expected of so much... For example, he suddenly found himself surprised, as his legs had somehow, miraculously decided to bring him to the other black suited person, right beside Mitsuki Park. The School Captain. Or in this case... the... barefooted, green dressed girl, that, unless memory failed in a good way, was the girl he accused of stripping in public.
Interesting, though. She chose not to wear it.---
His head whirled around, away from her, and about the clearing, as his hands grasped around the crown, almost stupidly, yet, made it enough to look as though it was nothing more then a casual hat that he was wearing. But the point was, she wasn't wearing it. Decidedly, his face became like a statue, reminiscent of last year, his eyes only looking ahead. Cue the Japanese song, and this was nothing short of awkward. But the point was, she wasn't wearing it."Mit-su-ki Park...?" ...not stuttering, but not really saying it loudly, not with a condescending tone. A number of things-nay. A thousand-odd number of things were running rampant through his head, and he couldn't quite place how he was feeling right now. Right now, she wasn't pulling her rank. As usual, it seemed. In fact... where was Aureus Hayes, the pillar? Or any of the other famous Pillar's he'd heard so much about? ..Yeah, there was 'Max', but... did she really even count anymore? Memory on that little 'meeting' was vague. Probably for the better.
And abruptly, he turned to her. Crown spinning on the edge of his finger, his mind even just barely able to catch up."So."For now, he tried to keep whatever he was feeling, whatever he was thinking 'out'. Right now, he had an unofficial duty..
The crown was caught, and the 'gentle stranger' suddenly bowed, out of nowhere...
..But, in the place of the Gentlestranger (or whatever the hell he was, right now...), there was a wry-smiling "Thrush", looking up from the bow. At her. Hand extended to the School Captain, with the crown."..May I have this dance?..."
"...SEXUALLY!?"A strange glint of red, flashing across his eye... ever so briefly... But his eye was filled with various things. Things to say, things to do...
...Because, like any good building.. without her pillars, 259 would just collapse. But more importantly... was that exactly what he wanted to happen? Or...?

"Mit-su-ki Park...?"
The crown dangled on two fingers as her attention was taken away from the girl singing, to..."Unfettered". No last name. She stared at him, comparing him to "Thrush", and the many similarities the two shared. They both seemed to be lacking last names, both were German - and was obviously proud of their country - both had a similar voice, personalities weren't too different.. A thought crossed her, that this could be Thrush under a different name; one she didn't know.
"So."
She gave no reply to his 'so'. Was it awkward that he was going to dance with her? It wasn't but a simple dance, so she felt no tension - well, not anymore. Of course, his bow was startling to some, though she stared right ahead at him, his familiar smile, and that look...that look in his eyes. Her own brown orbs narrowed with recognition; his words had confirmed her ideas; who else but Thrush would add 'sexually' to anything, really? Of course, if she were wrong...but there were so many similarities between the two, it was hard not to believe it.
"..May I have this dance?..."
"...SEXUALLY!?"
Instead of answering him, she, in return, placed her left foot slightly behind her left and also gave a short bow in return, before slipping her fingers on top of his, leaving his crown untouched.
She waited.
Was it not the gentleman who led the dance?

It looked as if the masquerade was nearing to the end. However, Keith still had all that alcohol to give out. There was no fucking way Keith could take all the leftover alcohol back to his loft though he would've enjoyed trying. While the "King" and "Queen" would be dancing with each other, Keith would have something else planned. Keith needed to make the extra money. Quickly, Keith had some poster boards nearby in case something like this would happen. Grabbing a marker, Keith wrote down several things on the poster boards. Yes, Keith was trying to get rid of all that alcohol as soon as possible!!! Might as well do this while the King and Queen were dancing. Soon, after Keith wrote down the words on the board, he would place them all across the bar to get everybody's attention. Poster 1 said: $3 "You Call Its!"
Call your favorite drink for only three dollars a piece! Poster 2 said: $4 for Moonshine & Everclear!!!
Poster 3 said: $1 for Beer & Malt Beverages!!!
Poster 4 said: 50 Cents For All Non-Alcoholic Beverages!!!
