Still, she yearns for true friendships, and finds the idea of popularity intriguing, but thinks its far beyond her grasp. She truly wants to help people, down to her very core.

History Information
History: Born in the old world, Shiloh knew only war and pain. Her parents were both rather powerful players in their own territory, but they tried desperately to keep their only child from being affected by what their power meant. At home, they tried to make everything seem normal and give her as much of a real childhood as they could. When the war came, their illusion shattered, and Shiloh was forced to face the consequences of other people’s actions at every turn. She was isolated and ostracized not for who she was as a person, but who the people around her were. Suddenly, no one wanted to hang out with the kid whose parents could kill them without a second thought. This was something she never understood.
Her powers and abilities developed in a strange way. Instead of being the center of attention, like her parents, she was oftentimes easy to ignore and overlook. People started continuing their private conversations, even after she had entered the room. Until she spoke, it was almost like nobody noticed her at all. It taught her, more than anything, the value of silence. By the age of ten, she knew far more than any child had the right to.
When she was thirteen, she was suddenly – and without any real explanation – brought to a new world… where she learned, for the first time, what peace was. Still, old habits die hard, and she continued to remain quiet and sneak about, able to blend in with her environment more and more every day. It was a part of who she was, at that point, but actively utilizing her abilities was more exhausting. Still, like any muscle, with practice, it became stronger. She began to use her strengths at every opportunity, trying as hard as she could to get to the power level of her parents, even with the difficulties she faced. She was careful not to get caught, which was easier the more she practiced.
As a teenager, it was next to impossible for her to be adopted out of the orphanage where she lived, but she enjoyed working with the younger children. Growing up, she had the thought that she would join the orphanage’s staff, and perhaps help out the other kids just like her. However, just before she turned eighteen, a young child’s powers developed. She hadn’t recognized him from her own world, but the moment his abilities began to show, she knew what was going on. She began to try to help him, to teach him how to hide his strengths, but it was too late. TSI came to the orphanage to bring the boy to the school, and she found out about all of the round-ups. They terrified her. She knew that at any moment, they could come and take not only her away, but any of the children. She had to leave… and she had to find out the truth.
At eighteen, she needed to figure out how to get to the truth of things, and how to make enough money to survive on her own. Neither were easy tasks. She wanted to work with TSI, as closely as she could. She ended up finding a job working with a newspaper, taking pictures and running the dark room. She had loved cameras since her own world, and the newspaper offered to give her one. She began her collection at that point, and what money she could spare, she spent on old cameras and her own development room. Whatever she could to enjoy her hobby, her passion, and turn it into a career.
She continued to work for the newspaper, until finally, she was given an assignment regarding the TSI and the head of their security force, Rai. She would travel with the interviewer and take the pictures for the newspaper article. She spent an entire day there, though the information she learned and things she did were CLASSIFIED the moment she got back. In fact, the article was never published… which only furthered her determination to make it happen. She wanted to learn everything she could, and she wanted to, eventually, be able to give that information to the people who needed it.
To this day, she continues to work for the newspaper that originally hired her, but she also runs an anonymous blog, set up by some nameless hacker from the Dark Web through enough proxy points as to make it difficult – if not impossible – to track her. She paid handsomely, but she had little else to spend her money on, so it didn’t bother her much. It managed to get the job done... She was able to bring the truth to the people, whether they believed her or not.
