Lorelai noticed both of her companions staring at her, and again, gave that typical cock of her brow. Had she been getting rest? She nodded, though her gaze was never still for more than a moment or two.

Soni rolled her eyes a bit at the response. It was annoyingly uninformative.
Her gaze fell upon the scene, and the chaotic remnants of it. Bringing her mind to the question,
"So do we know anything about them? Who they are, where they came from, anything?" The whole happening was unnerving, less because of the initial attack than the implication that there was more to come.

"I wish we knew... unfortunately what isn't being revealed to the media is that groups like this are a popping up here and there all over the place... You're people are going to have some hard days ahead of you... and I don't know what we're going to do."

Soni sighed. It was annoying...infuriating, actually... the lack of media coverage it got. It was a rising issue, and one day soon it would be impossible to ignore, and not in a good way.
"Is there anything we can do as far as tracking them down and finding where their roots are?"

Lorelai stared, hard, at Haku. At least he was smart enough to get to the infirmary. She gave a slight shake of her head and looked back to Soni.
This mystery. She wanted it solved. She had a small piece of the puzzle, but she wouldn't be able to pursue it without express permission granted.

"Alright. In that case, Lorelai, I am currently assigning you to Soni as a security detail. To keep her safe during these... difficult times of Anti-Meta terrorism. Understood?"

Lorelai blinked slowly. She understood why he was doing it, but it still rankled. She was almost always assigned to him, and only to him. She was seen as difficult to deal with, and most people didn't appreciate her company anyway.
However, instead of voicing any of her concerns, she simply... nodded.

"Oh um-" Soni began to object, but Haku had already given the command. "That- That'll be great," she stuttered, giving a happy nod to Lorelai.
One of the few times she was a little happy to not have a mouth; all she had to do was move her eyes right.
