Lorelai's grin widened the moment she realized his weight didn't shift. Just before he started to move, she moved as well, pushing off her back foot with the entirety of her force and moving to counter his attack. It would seem almost as if she predicted his movement, all based solely on her awareness of the human body.
She swiped upwards to meet his blade, to keep him from making any sort of contact with Haku, and her eyes gleamed with the barely contained violence she kept inside of herself. Her smile looked feral, and despite the fact that she was very, very human... she could have passed for a demon. The strength of her attack, as long as it landed, would send a ringing up her hands, which made her tighten her hands around the hilt of her sword... and would be enough to disarm most humans.

The attack happened faster than the thug could blink where there was supposed to suddenly be the soft feel of flesh being carved into, instead he met hard metal. The sound of the collision made his ears ring harshly, his blade went flying out of his hand and he would now be standing there, defenseless, against a woman who moved faster than his brain could comprehend.
"W-w-w-what the-"
He started as he took a step backwards. He tripped on the handle of Haku's baton and fell to the ground. He just stared up at Lorelai his mouth agape, with fear filled eyes.

She lowered her blade slightly from the defensive stance she took and stood to her full height, stepping over Haku to straddle his legs and stand over the man beneath her. The wind caught just enough of her pink hair to cover her face, hiding the look of sheer malicious violence from his view.
"Attacking a downed man," she whispered, her voice chilling. "How dishonorable. I even gave you the chance to run."
She held her sword in one hand as she stood over him, only her smile - mostly teeth, and full of murderous intent - visible beneath her hair and the shadows.
"How vile."

The man whimpered, and tried and failed to back up as the dirt under his hands kept giving way, as if to say his fate was already sealed.
"P-p-please! D-don't hurt me! It was just a job! I was told I had to!"
Haku groaned in pain as he turned his head to see what was happening.

"By whom?" She demanded, in that same cold tone, stepping just a bit to stand over him further, to show him that there was no hope for escape. She kept her sword at the ready, positioned in such a way that her intent was clear.
For the moment, she seemed to ignore Haku completely, aside from tightening her hand on her hilt at the sound of his pain.

"I-I-I don't know! Some person in a mask! I didn't even speak to them directly I just saw the guy who organized us talking to them!"

She bent slightly at the waist, just enough for him to see the mercilessness in her eyes, and for him to feel her whisper creep through his blood.
"And who organized you? Who did you follow, that led you to this masked man? Who did you have faith enough in, loyalty enough for... that you accepted this job?"

She lowered her blade to press the tip just beneath his sternum, her grin growing even wider.
"You don't seem to understand my question. I want the name of the person or organization who offered you money. If you don't know it, give me the name of someone who does." She pressed slightly harder, not quite enough to draw blood. "Now."

"Ah! Please! I swear I don't know! I was told nothing! I was just approached at a bar and asked if I wanted to make a lot of money, I didn't even know what we were doing until today! I was just told that I would get paid double if I stabbed someone, triple if they died!"

"Don't kill you?" She giggled, a sound never heard from the stoic swordsman... and absolutely maniacal. She pressed the sword just a bit deeper. "You did this all for money, at the behest of someone you didn't even know. I guess you better start praying... Hopefully, he will reward you well. In hell."
In one swift motion, she wrapped both hands around the hilt of her blade and shifted, stabbing him deep in the side. With just the right amount of force, she gutted him, careful not to slash his insides, so that - for a moment at least - he could look down and see what was being done to him, as he spilled out over the ground.
Then, she knelt, feeling the blood that had sprayed on her face as it began to drip down, back to where it belonged. Whether or not he was alive, she would whisper to him, "I kill you with honor. It is the only honor you will ever know."
Then, gently, almost kindly, she kissed his cheek... and let him die.

The man watched in horror as he witnessed Lorelai brutally cut him open watching his guts spill out of him he wanted to scream, wanted to cry but all that came out was a weak whimper... He lay there, tears streaming down his face for a few moments before he fully lay on the ground and died...
Haku having witnessed all that happened, could only see Lorelai's back. However, from the sounds of things, the woman had finally snapped he carefully reached for his baton as he spoke.
"Lorelai..."
Was he would say hoping, praying, that the woman he knew was still there...

She knelt over the man as he died, using the time to regain her composure. It wasn't, however, until she heard her name, that she moved. She stood up, pulling her blade free and swiping it quickly to one side to send a spray of blood splatters across the ground... oblivious to just how dangerous that would look.
Then, she glanced over her shoulder at Haku, once more in complete control of her emotions (and demons). She looked normal, beneath the blood that remained on her face... unemotional, detached. Calm.
She cocked her brow at Haku, as if to ask what his silly concern was all about.
