Shiloh dressed for work with a large grin plastered across her face. The last few days had been miserable, with the attack and finding out her parents were dead. For the most part, she had forced herself to go through her life as if everything was normal. She still got up every morning, still went to work, and still did her absolute best. However, it was beginning to wear on her.
When the idea to bring Adelaide with her to work popped into her mind, she finally found something to be excited about again. Photography had always been a very private, personal idea. She wanted to figure out something to do with Drake, to welcome him to the city, but that would have to wait. First, she wanted to spend time with her best friend.
She packed her camera bag full of her usual supplies, and dressed in a pair of tight skinny jeans and one of her favorite, clingy, long-sleeved tops. She kept her hair down, and topped it all with her favorite hat. Her camera and bag were waiting for her by the door. All she had to do, at this point, was wait for Adelaide.

Adelaide would be dressed up, well for Adelaide any ways. Jeans thay didn't have holes in them, a tight frame fitting shirt with a v-neck cut just right to make anyone staring beg for more. She had brushed her hair and even put on real make up instead of her typical black on black lipstick and eye shadow. She actually had color on her face!
*Knock knock knock*
Adelaide knocked on Shiloh's door. She didn't know what came over Shiloh all of a sudden but... Adelaide wasn't opposed to have... some private time... with Shiloh. If that's what she wanted... oh man, Adelaide was getting all nervous again!

The moment she heard knocking, Shiloh jumped up, ecstatic, and rushed to the door. She grabbed her bag on the way, slinging it over one shoulder, and was in the process of slipping the strap of the camera around her neck as she opened the door.
"Oh, Adel, I'm so glad that you agreed to this! It's going to be so-- Oh, hey. You look super pretty today." She tilted her head to one side as she took in Adelaide's appearance. "I mean, you look pretty every day, anyway, but this looks nice, too. Did you have a meeting or something?"

Adelaide blushed a little.
"I- thank you... no, I just... wanted to look nice for our- uhm... time together..."
You think this is nice, just wait till you see what I'm wearing for you under this... Adelaide thought to herself with an inappropriate smirk.

"Oh, wow! That was really cool! You didn't have to dress up or anything. I mean, I never do." She shrugged her shoulders, then grinned, closing the door behind herself and turning around to lock it.
Turning back to Adel, her green eyes were alight with excitement. "Are you ready to go?"

Shiloh nodded, and began to head towards the bustling hub of activity. She had intentionally found a cheap studio apartment near the center of the action - at least what action there was before the apartments opened up for the Meta's - so that she could always get to wherever she needed to go quickly and easily... and without a car.
"Are you excited, Adel? Because I am. I'm really excited about all of this, actually. I've been thinking about this for a long time, but couldn't ever find... the right time, you know? But it just FEELS right, now. I figured we could probably both use this, after... you know, everything."

Shiloh paused for a moment as her friend said that, and a sad smile touched her lips. She gave a shake of her head, trying to push away the pain that threatened to choke her.
"I... I'm a really private person, Adel," she murmured, keeping her back to her friend. "I don't... share. I mean, I do, but I don't... share this kind of thing. With anyone."

Shiloh smiled down at her shoes, shifting her weight a bit from foot to foot. She took a deep breath, then turned around to face Adelaide, a brilliant smile on her face.
"Come on, Adel," she said, and then led the way to the newspaper's corporate office.

Shiloh stopped and turned around, holding one finger to her lips to tell her to keep quiet, and led her around to the back of the building. She unlocked the door with a key and motioned for Adelaide to follow her down the stairs to the basement.
"Down here."

Adelaide's heart was beating so fast she could barely hear anything else. She followed be Shiloh. She couldn't even imagine what Shiloh had planned!

There was a short hallway, and Shiloh led her to the last door. She unlocked the door, and led Adelaide in.
Once inside the very dark room, Shiloh found one of the red lights by memory alone, and turned it on... to show the photography dark room.
She turned to Adelaide with a giant smile.
"This... this is my dark room," she said, almost lovingly, and turned to gently caress a piece of photography equipment. "This is where the magic happens... where I get to develop all of my photography..."
She seemed so damned proud of herself.
