Shiloh bounded after her friend, but as soon as she closed and locked the door to her dark room... that tension would begin to slowly sneak its way back into her shoulders, and she would fall quiet again. She still seemed happy, but the complete openness and relaxation from their little adventure together would melt away as the pressure of the real world would begin to press in on her.
She caught up to Adelaide easily, and reached out to grab ahold of her hand, squeezing it gently before releasing it again.

Adelaide accepted the hand and would hold it just a hint longer than Shiloh before, remorsefully, letting go. It wouldn't take long for them to reach the little hole in the wall shop. Adelaide would open the door and hold it for Shiloh.

Shiloh smiled at her friend in gratitude, and wandered in to the shop. "I'm gonna get a baked potato with, like... chopped beef on it! Yeah, that sounds good."

Shiloh was grinning as they got their food and found a way to their seats, watching Adelaide closely. It was a bit unnerving, but not unusual. She had a bad habit of observing things, of watching people.
"So. Adel. What's your opinion on the whole Meta thing, now?" She asked, kind of poking at her food a bit.

Adelaide shrugged.
"I'm not sure... I mean, it sucks they were attacked like that. I feel bad for them. But I guess... I mean that one girl that got stabbed, she was straight dangerous. What if she or someone as strong or stronger did become bad? My dad seems indifferent, but he also has been acting strange since the attack..."

She folded her arms and shrugged.
"I don't know... like, never in my entire life have I ever seen that man look tired, and I've NEVER seen him sick. But since that day... he's been sweating randomly, seems barely able to hold himself up at times, and he admitted to be sick and feeling weak the other day. Like dude, when he got home after you brought him lunch I almost watched him pass out and collapse when he walked into the house."

Shiloh's brows furrowed in concern, and she shook her head, setting her fork down on her plate. She had barely touched her food, but suddenly didn't seem interested.
"Has he been to a doctor at all?"

"He says that the medic's at the infirmary have checked him out and cleared him..."
She said with a sigh.
"Not sure if I buy that. Like, I'm sure he's been checked out, but been told he's fine? I'm sure they didn't say that, but he instead believes that he can deal with whatever prognosis they gave him."
She shrugged.
"Whatever, the old man is going to do whatever he wants our feelings be damned."

Shiloh frowned slightly and gave a shrug. Adelaide knew her father better than she did, but she made the note to go and check on him again, as soon as she and her friend parted ways. She sighed softly.
"I hope he feels better soon..."

"I hate to say it, but if he feels like he is fine. He probably will be. That man is more stubborn than an Angry Mule. I wouldn't put him past willing himself into being good. Don't get me wrong I don't want anything to happen to him... but it can be frustrating."
She said rolling her eyes as she took a bite of her Brisket.

Shiloh nodded, looking down at her plate of food thoughtfully. She was contemplating what could possibly be wrong with Rai. Was he overworking himself? Was he actually, genuinely sick? Was there anything she could do to help?

Noticing how upset Shiloh had gotten Adelaide put down her fork and reached out for her hand.
"Hey, he is going to be ok. I told you, I'm sure that my dad would fight the reaper himself just to stay alive. It's going to be ok."

"You know, I should probably be the one comforting YOU in this situation," she teased.
